The name of this restaurant couldn't be more perfect! My family & I had the pleasure of eating outside. The waiter was prompt & helpful with questions we had, about what to order. I also noticed how the staff members were so polite in holding the door open for those entering & leaving with take out meals. My family shared the hummus & pita bread as an appetizer & WOW! I personally don't care for chick peas, however this was easily THE BEST hummus I've ever tried; we ended up dipping our tomatoes & cucumbers from our meals to savor the last bit of the hummus. The pita chips were so fresh & remarkably prepared. Everyone was enjoying their meals so much they offered to share with each other & all options were phenomenal! We can't wait to go back & make sure to save room so we can try their desserts. A review like I'm about to write, is difficult for me. I did enjoy my lamb gyro and fresh cut fries. Gyro meat was tender and flavorful, the pita - soft, chewy, warm, large slices of tomato and lettuce, plus their lovingly made tzatziki. I've never had tzatziki that tasted that good. Plus, many restaurants claim in having fresh cut fries, in here is the real deal. So, here's the sad bit for me; if I were to bring my son and husband next time, for three gyros and a beverage, our meal would cost for close to $100.00. "Freshly Greek" is the perfect name for this place. I had a beef gyro and could absolutely tell that all the ingredients are fresh. The fries are cut everyday and outstanding, but the gyro was just next level. Portions are large: I rarely leave restaurants full unless multiple courses are involved. The gyro was more than enough though and, again, delicious. The portions of baklava are ridiculously large, served warm with a small bit of Greek yogurt garnished with mint leaves. I couldn't not eat the whole thing, but heck, I went to the gym this morning. Even if I hadn't, it would have been worth any guilt or shame I'd have felt after having the pizza-slice sized serving. Interior is sleek and modern with a nice back-splash behind the counter and several large photographs on the walls. The room gets a bit echoey (We weren't there at peak dining hours, so I don't know how loud it might get inside). Several outdoor tables for dining,, but it was too humid for that today. Went yesterday with my daughter in law. She had the chicken Slovakia which she raved about. She doesn't eat chicken out often and said this was so so good. I had the dolmas and spanokapita. (Spelling), The dolmas were a little too salty for my taste, but the spanokapita was good. I, however, am use to it being several layers and not being in a single layer like a turnover. Trust me when I tell you that I am going back. Our server was delightful, very friendly and welcoming. Ambiance is lacking however, as there are no decorative items, the place is not very welcoming or warm. I felt like I was in a take out spot. It's a little pricey but it's worth it. read more

I should have taken a picture. Feta, grilled chicken, tomatoes, olives, and fresh mint with Greek dressing. Not gonna lie, I was a little put off on realizing it was a salad made up of mint leaves. But all the flavors paired and balanced PERFECTLY! This was easily the best salad I've ever eaten. My husband got the gyro and that was huge and stuffed and delicious. My staff and I were excited that this place moved in nearby because it is different. We were not disappointed. I work with a bunch of foodies so we tried and shared several menu items. Everyone was superb. I especially appreciated that the tomatoes on my gyro seemed like they were grown locally. I often eat in mediterranean restaurants in CA and I can honestly say the chicken Slovakia at Freshly Greek was the best I've ever had. The chicken was marinated to perfection and almost fell of the skewer. I love coleslaw and this was perfect - not too much mayo and no cilantro. The pita bread was still warm when we got home, too. All three of us ate with relish and I know my family will return again and again. We had a mix-up with our order as the payment was delayed so the order was not completed. Not to worry...Pete immediately set our minds at ease, taking a new order and throwing in some delicious baklava for our troubles. Wow, I'm extremely impressed with this place. Everything was fresh, delicious, and high quality. The prices are more than fair for what you get. We started with the fried feta appetizer. The breading was super crisp and delicious, the feta was warm, soft, and flavorful, and it was topped with delicious honey and sesame seeds. You get a very large portion for the price, perfect for sharing. I got the "mint chicken cutlets" salad. First, there was a very generous amount of delicious grilled chicken. It was well seasoned and juicy. The only green used in this salad is fresh, sweet mint leaves. It was topped with yellow grape tomatoes, Kalamata olives, a large block of (very high quality) feta, capers, and an olive oil drizzle. On the side was a cup of red wine vinaigrette. I am not hyperbolizing when I say that is was the best salad I've ever had, and one of the best dishes in general in the area. My guests both had the beef gyros, and they were also very impressed. The meat is homemade, well spiced, and juicy, and there's a large amount in each sandwich. The veggies were fresh, and the tzatziki was incredibly flavorful. The fries on the side were hot, fresh, and well seasoned. One got the side salad instead, and it really surprised us. Usually side salads are an afterthought, but not here. Very fresh greens, lots of assorted veggies, a large block of feta on top, an olive oil drizzle, and red wine vinaigrette. The cherry on top is that this place is BYOB. There's a dearth of great BYOB places in the area, and the cuisine here would pair incredibly well with a great bottle of wine. I really can't recommend this place enough. We stopped in for lunch today, our first visit here. Was immediately take by the impressive modern design. Very clean and bright. We checked the menu and I was a bit taken by the prices. I think we were expecting a different place, I expected more of a casual sandwich place. All that said we placed our order at the counter and our meals were delivered to the table. Maggie had the gyro. It was very large and full of meat. She said her side fries were clearly freshly made. Hot and crisp. I had one and I think they were fried twice. I had the chicken slouvlaki. The chicken was grilled correctly with nice char without being dry. I was very impressed with the salad that came with it. Obviously freshly made. I was not disappointed by the feta as a nice sized brick of it was included. Lots of capers and olives. I must say we were the only customers in the place till two people came in as we finished. I think we received good value for the price we paid. It's not cheap, but it was worth it. Perhaps more of a destination place than I expected not really a quick lunch spot. I wish them well. It's in a strip center but the surrounding area is an affluent one so perhaps this area will support this business model. read more

OMG. So so good and fresh! It took me too long to come out as I made the very wrong assumption it was just another Cava (which I like, but is NOT a good comparison for Freshly Greek).
