Located in Greenway Station, this Greek restaurant is a nice option for lunch. Tucked into one of the buildings, you have to pay attention to find it in the row of storefronts. The interior was reasonably spacious and clean. The format was more or less a street food approach in which you walk up, order and customize your toppings and accompaniments. I chose the Gyro Plate with Hummus, Feta, Olives and Onions. It was accompanied by Pita. It was quite tasty and made for a filling lunch. With food, tax and a small tip, my final bill was about $13.50. It was a reasonable deal. If I am working in the area again and have a taste for Mediterranean fare, I'll certainly pay another visit.

I dined in on a weekday evening. There were some people, but the place had a lot of table left. One orders food and sit in any table. Lamb and beef gyro and falafal plate were my entree items and both were good. Sweet potato fries was a good side as well.

The food in this place is amazing and the portions are quite sumptuous. We tried the chicken shawarma platter with chicken shorts & lamb skewers. The toppings on the platter were quite delicious (and large portions) & there was a variety of them you could select from - you could get as many toppings as you want it seems. The service was great. A nice Mediterranean casual dining place.

We got takeout from Freska Mediterranean Grill one night for dinner. We ordered the "Veggie Feast" (no meat, so perfect for vegetarians) for about $9. It came with a generous portion of food: a whole pita, 3 pieces of falafel, feta cheese, baba ghanoush, hummus, and tabouleh. Everything was delicious! The nutty-flavored creamy dressing really brought it all together. The falafel was my fave with it being crispy and flavorful on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was a refreshing light meal in terms of grease/fats (not portion). It feels very healthy, but you still finish the meal with a full belly! It's a very satisfying meal. The one thing I've heard is that their hours of operation are unpredictable at times (regardless of their posted times), so I suggest going into the store to order and grab your food rather than ordering it ahead of time online/phone to pick up later. Apparently, they have been closed at times when some people have gone to pick up their food.

Freska is one of my favorite places to get Mediterranean food in the Madison area. I'd describe this restaurant as like a Chipotle, but for Mediterranean food - you first make a choice of type of dish (sandwich or plate) and the main meat/filling you want, then you go down their line of toppings and sauces to add to your dish. Their ingredients are always very fresh and delicious - you really can't go wrong with any of their options. Their side dishes and desserts are always good too. I have to get their baklava whenever we visit! Overall, I would highly recommend Freska to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food in a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The service was top-notch and the food was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to return for another meal!

Outstanding gyros and baklava. Gyro platter, though I didn't order it this time, is also outstanding.

A pleasant surprise! Really good food, fast service. Kind of reminds me of a Mediterranean "chipotle"

They were both good, but I was a bit underwhelmed with the Lombarda. If it had Apricot Glaze, it wasn't very noticable, and maybe was the reason that it needed a bit of salt to enhance the toppings. The CSMO was very flavorful, and clearly the better of the two. Service: Super friendly and helpful service, both when ordering and when the food was delivered. We had reservations at 11:45 AM but since the servers were in the kitchen was not seated until closer to 10 minutes later. After I was seated, I was promptly brought water. It was a nice sized portion of hummus there was definitely leftover hummus as you were only given a few pieces of small pita. Our server was very kind and very observant when I asked about dishes that were dairy free. She was very helpful on that. The ambience was very quiet, even though there was a a few tables nearby. Really nice ceilings. The food was good. It would be nice if there were more options on the menu as well as dairy free desserts.

My boyfriend and I have had the kabob platter for 2 three times now - twice in person and once to go. It's $80, but it is a *ton* of food. There's lentil soup, salad, pita bread and sauces, rice, and 3 kabobs (chicken, steak, lamb, and roasted veggies). Plus, baklava for dessert! It has been absolutely delicious every single time. The staff is so friendly, and we've never needed to wait to sit. The food comes out pretty quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back!
