Carolyn is amazing! Not only is she great at what she does, she is so funny! Being able to laugh and chat with your stylist for 2 hours is a major plus. She was able to fit me in quickly on a Sunday, very convenient. They're open 7 days a week, and late on evenings. She was able to understand my vision instantly, and my hair still feels amazing a week later. Beautiful color, excellent cut. I went from Ombre back to brunette. After a week, I'm still getting used to the darkness of the brunette, so I called Carolyn to see if I could come in quickly to lighten it up a little. I can tell Carolyn is a great stylist, because she responded in saying she'd be happy to do so, but wanted to give my hair a little more time before she does that in order to ensure she doesn't compromise the health of my hair given there is fresh color on it. I feel like any other stylist would just tell you yes in order to please you. Honesty from your hair stylist is huge, and she has it! Highly recommend this place to anyone. I lived in the city for several years, and once I moved to the peninsula and had kids, going up to the city for my hair cut/color just wasn't working out anymore. I went on Yelp and found Fringe and tried my first cut and color with Jonny. Of course I was nervous about trying someone new for the first time in eight years. However, he did a fabulous job on my hair. He knew by looking at it, just what had been done to it before, and suggested we stick with the same regimen. He was very fast putting the foil on, which I appreciate since I have a TON of curly hair. For the cut, he suggested doing long layers, so that I could wear my hair up or down. As a final touch, he blew out my hair straight (a real treat), and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks. That was about 7 weeks ago. I never write reviews but I absolutely need to write one for Johnny. He has been cutting and coloring my hair for two years now and is wonderful. The most amazing thing is.. I can bring a picture in and say " i want my hair to look like this" voila! in 2 hours that's how I leave the salon! I frequent jonny at fringe- and have been moving around with him at every salon he has been with for the past 6 years. This boutique salon is fabulous! I highly recommend Michele she is an amazing stylist! I am every stylist worst nightmare because I am very particular about my hair, but she listens to your needs and wants and also provides great recommendations. Her coloring technique is also great! I have naturally dark brown hair that looks almost black which can be a nightmare to highlight but Michele works her magic and my highlights cone out perfect -- not looking brassy or orange! I have been coming to Trish for years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. (or my secrets). I perm (yes, I know, some people still do) and color and she does an amazing job with both. I have fine hair and she makes it look full and beautiful. I can be a tough client too, since I want my hair to look a certain way, when genetics conspired to have it look another. Thanks to Trish, I have it my way. Oh, and she does my kids hair too, just the way they like it, short for my son and layered for my daughter. They actually love seeing her, as do I. I had my hair cut by Darcy about a month ago, and she did an amazing job! She gave me an a-line lob with some really beautiful layers to give my flat hair some volume. It has grown out beautifully and I love it just as much as the day I walked out of the salon. She's a bit pricey so I can't go to her all the time, but I will definitely go back when I want to treat myself. read more

Johnny is wonderful! He's always very kind and a master at doing cut and color in record time without any sacrifice to the outcome. I've been going to Johnny for 10 years now. I've tried other stylist for convenience (when I lived far away from his salon), but was never as pleased. He's especially good at knowing what cut you need and not trying something new that he knows won't work for your face shape or style. I have the luxury of using this time in the chair to become completely engrossed in a magazine because I know I don't need to look up once to check in on him. That is a true gift! Johnny is educated on what will look best on you, but will still allow you to go outside of the lines on the "natural look" if you want a big CHANGE!! I came in for a haircut with Laly and was very happy with my experience. She asked about my day and was very nice. I told her I hadn't cut my hair in months and was in need of serious damage control and she did just that. You can tell she's a perfectionist when it comes to hair! She took her time to make sure everything was even and just how I wanted it, letting me check the length often and offer that we could go shorter if I wanted to later (which is always nice considering I've had past hair stylist cut off wayy too much in the past).
