This barn is hard to miss. Learned of this place from the Hatfield and McCoy dinner show and just had to try it out. The nicely painted red and white barn is perfectly decorated throughout to give that country atmosphere while highlighting the chicken. This is the place to come for brunch. We were promptly seated and the high chair was there before we arrived to the table. I have never seen that at any other place. I'm usually standing there holding my son waiting for his seat. The server was real friendly and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. They have a nice variety on the menu and it includes some lunch items. From what we were told is they make all their food from scratch and by its taste they probably do. I was going to order the biscuits and gravy, but it did not come with a side. I decided on getting the kids biscuit and gravy with a side of home fries. The biscuit was huge and the side of home fries was pretty good size portion. The biscuits tasted like home made. AMAZING. Incredible staff, incredible performers (/animatronic chickens), they give the kiddos wooden eggs to color! It still is my toddler's favorite souvenir from the whole trip to the area! We've noticed when you have a "gimmick" type place, food is usually lacking. That was NOTTTT the case here! I had a chicken biscuit with some crazy jam and dried onions, it was INCREDIBLE! Animatronic, singing chickens aside, the food wasn't bad. The plain waffle looked just that, but had a good, sweet taste and crispy texture. Chicken taco pancakes were quite good. MUST VISIT. This was one of the most fun places we visited while on vacation. The food is great, service is fast and friendly, but the atmosphere is the real reason to go. The entire restaurant is decorated like a farm, chickens in nesting boxes line the ceiling, each named after a celebrity with a chicken pun in the name (Dolly PartHEN, Elvis PresLAY) and every 30 minutes they do a song and dance. And for little kids there is an egg spinner with a wooden egg on it that they can color with markers at the table and then take home. And all of the wait staff is wearing overalls like farmers. Great for kids! The online waitlist makes it so convenient. Our server was on point and our food was so good. It looks crazy from the outside just like most of the buildings on Parkway, but the food taste and quality really makes it worth a visit for breakfast or brunch. Take your family!!!! This place is wonderful. We had a great server named Lexi, so friendly with great suggestions. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced with very generous portions. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, staff are all very nice and friendly and in spite of being full house busy the food service was quick. We never felt rushed and enjoyed our meal tremendously. Animatronic chickens makes for a cute theme with a little "show" that goes off every 20 minutes or so but it's not well executed and lasts about 45 seconds. Our server was sweet but was super frazzled and we had to keep asking for stuff over and over and never got some things. For such a simple menu the food took absolutely forever to come and several items were missing or wrong. Everything was bland, seemed like the cheapest ingredients, and waffles were freezing cold. Seems like the kitchen was trying to get multiple tables of food out at once rather than cooking each table to order.
