Stopped by this place after work to check out their happy hour. The place is dark and poorly lit. The restaurant was not full maybe 4 to 5 people in there but service was slow. We ordered a few items off the happy hour menu anddd they were disappointing. The espresso martini was uninspiring and too bitter. The biscuits and jam gave nothing additionally the deviled eggs weren't great and my friend reported the tenders were dry also the fries were just okay. Our waitress/ bartender was friendly but this place left a lot to be desired and it doesn't exactly give the vibe or provide the quality of food that would make me want to return.

Made reservation here for 1245p. We arrive about 5 minutes late but that wasn't an issue, we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't packed at all. Waitress came around about 10 minutes after and introduced herself and asked if we were ready to order. We asked for a minute which turn into over 20 minutes. They didn't have much of a variety to choose from. We were sitting waiting on PARIS to return to our table...... we decided to leave. As we were leaving I guess Paris noticed us getting up and rush over to us. Truth is it took her too long to come back to get our order. Anything over 5 minutes is excessive for that small menu. This place had a great atmosphere and I hate i didn't get a chance to experience it...

My girls and I went for ladies night on Thursday and that was the best $30 I ever spent! The waitresses were great, ambiance nice and the food and drinks were too good! I got a few of the expresso martinis and a few orders of the oysters. Everything was tasty! My girls loved everything too! I will be back!

Pretty restaurant but sucky service. Took an hour for our drinks to come to the table. We were missing an appetizer and 2 of the 2 people in my party never received their entree. They gave us plastic utensils. Just a mess. I love supporting my people but would never come back here for dinner. Maybe a drink by the bar and that's a strong maybe. I ordered the brussel sprouts- crispy and tasty. Definitely recommend. The lamb chops were nothing special. If you like bland fatty chops then these are for you.

Over cooked oysters and not so good deviled eggs.

Food is low rate but expensive. We waited 36 minutes to get our order taken. We sent oysters back because they were over cooked and chewy af. Deviled eggs needs dill flavor. Hot sauce over power the Deviled eggs. Brussel spouts were the only thing I would say was good. My friend and I are in our 40s and we were pretty much ignored for college kids coming in.

This was my second time visiting Frnds. The first time I came in the evening, but this time I stopped by for brunch. I ordered the Very Very French Toast with sausage and eggs. The French toast was $10, which I thought was a fair price for brunch, and the total for my meal came to about $21 which seems pretty cost-effective overall. However, the drinks were outrageous, $20 each and mostly filled with ice. My boyfriend ordered the exact same thing, and our total bill came out to $105. I honestly don't think we ate or drank that much to justify the price, though I can't say I'm completely surprised. Also, gratuity is automatically added to the bill. Not sure if I'll be back.

Love love this concept. Cute restaurant to vibe out. The parking was super easy as I found street parking right across from the restaurant. They have a huge bar and lots of seating inside. Happy hour is from 4-7p and they have a pretty decent selection of items to choose from. The brussel sprouts had a good char and honey to them. The sauce isnt needed, thats how good they were. Okay, and since Im trying to revert back to pescatarian, I tried the lobster risotto. It did not disappoint! Huge chunks of lobster, they didnt skimp on it at all. Our waitress came around and asked if we wanted anything else before happy hour ended. It was very mindful of her. Immaculate vibes, nice music and it wasnt very loud. I would definitely revisit.

I came here with a friend right after a Solidcore class (lol, don't judge us). On a Monday evening, it wasn't busy, so we were seated without reservations. We were honestly there for the hookah (which didn't disappoint), so I only ordered a lemon drop martini with some deviled eggs which were actually both delicious, so I will be coming back to try some more food from their menu. The service was great as we had a lot of banter with our server. And the entire restaurant was such a vibe with great music playing! Definitely a great spot for a girls night or a date night :)

Came here to try their new brunch menu. I got the honey butter biscuits & deviled eggs as appetizers. The honey butter wasn't really sweet so I ate the biscuits alone, which were pretty good. They forgot to give us utensils so we had to wait a while before we could find our waiter to let her know. I had the jerk lamb chop and eggs as my entrée and as someone who loves jerk anything these didn't taste like jerk sauce, but overall they were still good and flavorful. It came with eggs and potatoes which weren't really hot. My friend got the steak and eggs and she also said her food was lukewarm. For drinks I got the snatched piña colada, which was a 10/10 & I also got the ocean water drink, which was good too. The ambiance is really pretty if you're looking to get nice pictures & there's free parking, which is nice but overall I'd it's a pretty place & food was good but didn't necessarily give us that "omg we need to come back" feeling.

Came here for a happy hour on a Monday afternoon. It was relatively busy with a few scattered groups of two or three and at least two large parties of five or more during the three hours we were there. We sat at one of their table seatings in the middle of the restaurant, which was easy to chat even though the spacing is a bit more than I expected, so I found myself having to sit on the edge of the tufted seat to eat or hear my companion really well. The music was relaxing and at a comfortable volume that we were able to sit for hours and talk and still have our voices after. The happy hour menu is reasonably priced, although I think the pot stickers could come down slightly given that you only get three. We tried the beef and chicken potstickers - I preferred the beef because I also liked the accompanying sauce. The shrimp deviled eggs were a nice surprise-so good in fact, we ordered a second batch. The brussel sprouts were crispy and not too salty or soggy. I appreciate that despite it being a known happy hour spot, they had spirit-free drink options, and I enjoyed the "Thicker Than Water" strawberry mojito. This is a great spot and welcome happy hour space in Rice Village. I wish it had been here when I used to frequent the area more.

Came for food and drinks with some friends late Friday. We all ordered a variety of shareable! I really liked the brussel sprouts, and the green beans. Service and food was good and the ambiance is always cool. DJ played a good variety would definitely be back

I came for happy hour in a group. We sat in of the booths, and it was pretty comfy and spacious for 6'7 people. The small bites were very good, and the potatoe croquets were my favorite. Very well seasoned and the perfect texture. Service was okay, but a little slow. I ordered an old fashioned outside of happy hour and it was $26. Not sure I would come back outside of happy hour.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Later, when I found out it was a hookah bar, I became concerned, for my friends and I are definitely foodies with high expectations when it comes to food. However, midway through our appetizers, my concerns dissipated as the oohs and aahs floated across our table. We were a party of 7, and every one of us, without exception, remarked at the deliciousness of each offering. We had the calamari (perfectly tender and crispy,) the pasta (Al dente and oh so very savory!) the hummus (the accompanying pita triangles were incredibly crisp and the dish delightful,) and the rosemary truffle fries, which were, again, perfectly crispy, and incredibly flavorful. For entrees, a couple of us had the burger (wonderful, and the bacon jam is a GAME-CHANGER.) the Cajun Alfredo (packs a punch in flavor,) the Honey Truffle Chicken (outstanding.) the Crab Fried rice (I didn't taste it, but the person who ordered it loved it,) and the Kabobs. (Again, I didn't taste them, but the person who ordered the dish said it was excellent.) The cocktails were wonderful, as well. Back to the ambience: it's certainly beautiful, airy, with tall ceilings and abundant natural light from the expansive windows. The furniture is tasteful modern-eclectic and comfortable: something else we all noticed is it was void of any odors - very fresh and clean, which is huge for a hookah bar. Service, like the food, was outstanding. Every single staffer we encountered was gracious, welcoming, and genuinely warm. We appreciated the recommendations from our server and the visits from management. So, Confessions has it all, and we will definitely be back to try more of the menu. What an awesome find!

Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Now, we walked out of there and reflected thinking -- we just got robbed. $180 for a shared entree, appetizer, side & 2 drinks is fine I guess but the quality has to match and this wasn't it. The strawberry wings had no depth in flavor just wings tossed in strawberry jam. No seasoning, no spice, no salt, no thought. Stick to the regular flavors - and fyi the strawberry will be on in your nails for the next 24 hours. The lamb Rockefeller was innovative but just didn't hit for me. Maybe if the topping was a bit more charred but it was like spinach dip on top of lamb chops. The Mac and cheese was solid, but nothing boxed Mac & cheese can't do. You're there for the ambiance, not the food. While the food is edible, for the price point you can find way better food in Houston. If I return I'd sit at the bar & get hookah with 1 appetizer.
