THE WORST!!!!! Unfortunately a 0 star rating is not an option. This place doesn't have the best first impression, but that could be expected from a used appliance place so I am not knocking them for that. We walked in looking for a dryer and stove for a rental property. The stoves they have where filthy but the manager assured us that they had a cleaner coming to scrub the appliances clean. We, very hesitantly, bought the dryer and stove because the manager adamantly stated that they would be spotless and in working order. On they day of delivery, the guys showed up and installed the dryer first and when they where unloading the stove, cockroaches where falling out of it. COCKROACHES!!!! Needless to say, they where not allowed to bring the stove into the property. We tested the dryer and it worked once then broke. Long story short, we are trying to get our money back. I drove down here from Longmont to check it out. When I opened the refrigerators I was overwhelmed with the stench (you can't keep a frige door shut if you don't want it to stink). Apparently they don't clean them until they are sold. STAY OUT OF THIS PLACE...IT IS A SCAM!!! plus in order to get their way the owner Richard likes to intimadate others by becoming aggressive and disrespectful. My college daughter bought a used washer and dryer from this place, the dry has not worked since she bought it. She has to dry one pair of jeans at a time and put it twice so that it can be dried. At the point of sale they offer her a $89.00 additional one year store warranty that the clerk said it covered ANY possible malfunction within the next year. I asked again is this labor or labor and parts, he said EVERYTHING. I called today and spoke with the owner Rich, he said that because he knew the problem HAD to be a dirty ducts (he is a mind reader) he would have to charge my daughter $56.00 for the trip. When I asked why? and what was my $89.00 warranty supposed to covered he said it was not covering ductwork. I told him the apartment maintenance manager just checked the ducts and there was nothing wrong with them, but that he was going to be at the apartment at the time of the appointment just in case. Richard became extremely disrespectful and starting raicing his voice over the phone at me, and said he did not really FCK!! care what the maintanance manager had to say but that my daughter needed to be able to pay for the service. When I asked him to then postpone so that my husband could be there as I am not feeling confortable a college girl having to deal with a man that obvisuly likes to intimidate others; he became VERY uncooperative with rescheduling so that my husband and I could be there during the "service". This place just scammed us out of $89.00 dollars calling it a year additional warranty that obviously he does not want to owner . How can he be quoting and asking me if my daugther will be able to pay him for a repair that he has NO idea really what is wrong, and without EVEN be at the apartment in front of the appliance to demand payment? I have already place a complaint to the BBB, please do yourself a favor and stay out of this place. Possibly the worst purchase I have ever made and the worst people you will ever deal with. I purchased a refrigerator and it stopped working after 2 weeks. We attempted to set up a repair, pre-paid the $69.00, and the repairman called (I missed the call because my phone has bad service at the location) but he never attempted to find someone that could help, so he left. I called the office and was told that we need to pay $69.00 again to have the technician out or we could bring the refrigerator in for repairs. Who does business like this. Drive out, not do the work, and recharge again???? I bought a used washer and it broke in 2 months. I had it repaired by Mattress and Appliance center and it broke again in less than 30 days. Owner Rich refused to call me back. Spoke with Pete and was told they were not even willing to pick up the broken one and since I was past the 90 days of the original purchase date they were not obligated to to anything and I should be happy it at least worked for 60 days. I love to support small business whenever I can. So when the appliances in our "new" house were subpar, I went looking for used ones so I could replace all at the same time. These guys at Mattress and Appliances are the best! Yea so the store is a little dirty but they sell checked out, cleaned up and reliable used appliances! Support the local small business shop and save money on great appliances - buy your stuff from Pete! Hercules and Heman (not their real names) installed my amazingly priced, working, clean appliances with professionalism and speed for a fair price. They even took away the stuff that was no longer wanted. One of the worst places to do business with. Showed a picture to my rental property owner of a stack washer/dryer that was decent. The one that was actually picked-up was dented and very dirty. Tried to install and it was too wide, to it back and said that it was not dented when it left the store. The employee that helped load it in the truck also helped down load and said that it was dented when it left the store. Not only do they sell substandard products, they call customers liars. This Company sold me a BROKEN WASHING MACHINE. I purchased a used Whirlpool Duet Front Loader from Rich and his employees on Friday. I paid the fee to have the machine delivered to our home (they only do curb side deliver). Plus tipped the driver for his time. We got the machine into our home, hooked it up and to our unfortunate discovery, it makes the most incredible NOISE. You can't even have a conversation in the next room because it is so loud. It clearly is something inside the machine rattling -like metal to metal. I called the next morning to report the problem. They had sold me a broken washer. They claimed there is no warranty and if I wanted it repaired, I would have to get the machine back to them. I could pay MORE MONEY to have their guys pick it up and then they would take a look. SO, not only did this company sell me a broken washing machine, they are asking me for more money to "take a look at it". All I want is for them to own up to the fact that they sold a faulty machine, rectify the situation by either refunding me the entire amount and collecting the washer or fixing it at my home, at no charge. I spoke to Darren, one of the employees, before I purchased the machine and was told that if there was any problem with the machine, to be sure to call within 48 hours of getting it and they would "take care of it" but after that, I would have to pay to have it serviced. I called 24 hours after delivery and got the snub, the run around and finally on Monday around noon, after calling 3 times over the weekend, I into a heated argument with Rich, the manager over this. The point is that they sold me a faulty washing machine. The point is that I feel they should own up to it and fix it on their dime or pick it up and refund me $250.oo. Rich had the most disrespectful attitude toward this whole thing. It's bad business to claim something is in full working order and then take money for it and it not be what they claimed. I called for one one of my residents to help them understand the problem they where having with their dryer, and PETE was the rudest person I have dealt with, he did not let me speak would talk over me, at times he was raising his voice. I do not understand how someone could be so rude in that type of industry, isn't PETE there to give customer service. He was not helpful at all and did not resolve the issue. We have contacted them stating that the refrigerator isn't working however they need the sales number before they can do anything. We cannot find the receipt with the sales number.......they claim that they can't look the refrigerator warranty up without it. I have 15 rental houses and i use these guys for all of my Appliance needs I've bought a total of 30 machines from them, there were a few times where the machines didn't work but they acted fast to repair them lets be honest were dealing with used machines here i understand they cant spot all errors before selling the machines nobody is perfect but in my case they made everything right. they also do in home service on machines that were not even bought at their store for VERY CHEAP! overall I'm very happy they allow me to keep nice appliances in my homes for very little money. read more

My fiance and I were looking to save some money on a stainless refrigerator, but were worried about buying a used one. This was until I saw this company had a three month warranty for all of their used appliances. We paid $575 for the stainless refrigerator and delivered it ourselves. Two weeks later, the refrigerator wasn't getting cold. We started losing our fresh food. I called them and the soonest they could have someone out to repair it was four days later. Once they arrived, they told us that we just needed to disconnect the water supply to the ice cube maker and water dispensor because it was freezing up the refrigerator lines. We did what he advised and started getting cooler temperatures within a day. We never reconnected the water line. Three weeks later, the same thing started happening, except now the freezer also wasn't working properly. Keep in mind, this was all within the first 60 days of purchase. The coldest temperature in our refrigerator was now 58 degree and the freezer was 45 degrees. We lost about $350 worth of food. I called them and again, the soonest they could have a repair tech out was five days later. They did say they would need to take the refrigerator back to the shop, but they would bring us a "loaner" at the same time, so we would have a refrigerator. The reason for taking it back to the shop was because they said a lot of the time, they can't gets replacement parts for as long as six to eight weeks. Five days later, the "repair man" showed up with our "loaner" refrigerator, which was only 14 cubic feet to replace our 26 cubic foot refrigerator he was going to take. Unfortunately, the "repair man" cam to our house without any tools, so he wasn't able to take our refrigerator back to the shop because he would have to remove the doors to get it through our door. A repair man without tools? Are you kidding me? So the next business morning, they were supposed to come pick up our refrigerator and take it back to the shop. They never showed and never called. I took a morning off work to be at the house for them. I have had enough of this place. I have realized that I made a huge mistake by purchasing from them and went and purchased a brand new one. I wish I had checked Yelp before dealing with these people. First they quoted me $45 to put the washer and dryer in the basement, but then charged me $70 when I called back to change our driveway delivery to basement delivery. Then I went to install them (they are front load units) and discovered the feet had been taken off the dryer, making stacking OR leveling on the floor impossible. I would have been better off taking my chances with a private seller on craigslist. They don't answer their phone, either, or return messages. Avoid!!! read more

Bought a fridge used. Paid the extra to have it brought inside. They do not hook up ice machines, the delivery guy had to take the doors off to get it in the house. Now the doors dont swing properly. And they dont shut correct. Plugged it in, turned it on. Got cold, then held temp about 60 degrees. Called them, they made an appt, then broke the appt twenty mins before. Then three days later a "tech" came out to diagnose the issue. He looked at it for two mins, took temps and ordered a part. I had to call them to get them back out to finish. A different tech came, and found that the part that was "diagnosed" was fine, and a separate part was needed. Ordered, had to call again to get an answer. The part is at the wrong warehouse, wont be here till this afternoon. Tomorrow I have school all day, they want me to leave a key. Seriously? What about my experience so far would make me want to let you in my house alone? So now, two weeks after buying a "working" fridge, we have lost over $100 dollars of food, a third of our monthly budget. They wont hook up the ice machine as compensation, or reimburse for lost food. My suggestion, go anywhere else. Craigslist cant be any worse than this place. bought a refrigerator from them and plainly expressed that the ice maker had to work for the purchase to happen. got it home, paid delivery for it, and it didn't work. had a plumber come in and he couldn't fix it either. emailed and called mattress and appliance center about it and they promised to replace the ice maker with another unit. have voice mail from them telling me they would take care of the problem. they sent the wrong one despite photos i sent them showing the specific plug required. they called to tell me they had the unit and to stop by. i did and there was no unit. they took the original ice maker "to match the plug" and now have not returned any of my calls or emails. this has been going on since May 2014. it is now December 2014. This place is undeserving of even a one star review. Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had by a long shot. My husband and I bought a fridge that the sales rep promised was inspected and in great working order. I paid for it and that week the fridge was delivered. Not 5 minutes after we had hooked up the water valve to the water and ice dispenser our kitchen was flooded with water. The tubing in the fridge was in horrible condition and definitely in no working order. We immediately called the service department to have them come out and resolve the situation. That was over a month ago and we still do not have a working fridge. I have called weekly for updates (as they never like to return calls and are not generous enough to stay in touch with their customers) and keep getting the same bogus story that the part they ordered and need to fix our fridge still hasn't arrived. I spoke directly with the manager and was informed that he was unwilling to help rectify the situation in any way and was even unwilling to pay for overnight shipping. The manager seemed uninterested in helping me, was unapologetic and was even slightly argumentative. I would absolutely NOT recommend anyone purchase anything from here ever and will absolutely not be a return customer. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience and am making it my mission to make sure that no one I know has the same experience with them. Stay away! read more

bought a "reconditioned" fridge on 4.21.14, that broke down almost immediately, lost $200 worth of food, got another that broke and lost more food. Found an add of his on Craigslist for refrigerators, said "All has been tested by our master technician and comes with our free reliable warranty." I went to their store, Rich, the owner said, some are marked that the ice/water doesn't work and some are not. I picked one out for $375 that wasn't marked defective. setup delivery for that afternoon from 2-4, no call no show until 5:30pm same day. Delivery crew was unprofessional and showed no respect for my hardwood floors and cracked and scratched them. I hooked up the water feed and it none of the water/ice dispensing systems worked. Called they said they don't cover it and that it was never checked, that's why it wasn't marked defective even though it was. Then after we restocked the fridge a few days after delivery it quit working and we lost about $200 worth of items. They came out for a service call and said both of it's circuit boards broke and instead of fixing it they want me to pick out another unit to swap for. Went back in, picked out another unit. Delivery crew was still dissappointingly unprofessional. This one the water/ice dispenser works, but had an old/bad filter. After restocking the fridge again, it stopped working and I lost another $200 of items. Came out for service call, said cold controls went bad, then he came back with the wrong replacement parts, then he came back and replaced the right ones. Then it stopped working again. Sent out a different technician who said it was the fan and replaced that. Now the fridge is working but the fan must not be on right because it runs all the time and it vibrates loud enough to hear over my tv in the other room and even in our bedroom, Rich, the owner didn't want to fix it because it was just loud, he said it is working. Regardless I got him to agree it was not working properly and setup another service call for him. Setup for yesterday 6/27/14 and told him I will be working but my wife will be there. He called me while I was working, I couldn't answer, so he left without doing the service call. I called him back and he said he left the area because I didn't answer and said he would not be coming today and we will have to reschedule. I have spent over $800 in total since April, countless hours of frustration, scheduling, and having to eat out for more money because we can't trust the products/services he sells. Completely unprofessional-basically stole our money & cost us hundreds more in losses. Purchased a used washer & dryer & paid the delivery fee. We put the very first load in the washer and immediately it made the loudest banging noise like gunshots. Ran in to see what happened and the inside barrell was agitating so hard that it was banging on the outer shell & was actually making dents in it. We called right away & told them there was a problem. They scheduled a technician to come out & fix it and Said they would call a half hour before they arrived. They did not call first & this guy just showed up & acted extremely "put out". He said that the washer did not have 2 major coils attached inside that keep the barrel in place & "that should never have happened". He said he couldn't fix it at our house it would need to be taken in. He scheduled for a pickup & we were without a washer again...mind you, we have 7 people living in our house & we had gone days already without a washing machine-Mountains of laundry accumulating. They came & picked it up a couple of days later & luckily we have an old washer in our garage we brought in to use in the meantime. They did not offer to give us a loaner. So, now we are using just the dryer. about 2 weeks into using the dryer, it became so hot that it actually melted the plastic part of the dryer on top that has all the knobs on it. The clothes inside were burnt & actually melted! We had to throw away all the clothes, and new comforter, hundreds of dollars worth. This is definately a fire hazard. We then only did tiny emergency loads & kept a fire extinguisher next to the door just in case. We called and let them know what happened & they set up an appointment for a technician to come out the next Tuesday. Our washer was to be re-delivered on the Monday prior. The delivery guy came on Monday to bring the washer and told us that he was told to look at it by his boss while he was there. He admitted that he is NOT a technician, did not know how to do it, but he still had to follow orders from his boss. He looked at it & sent a picture to his boss & said it is clearly a fire hazard & needs to be replaced. His boss told him to bring it in with him & they would bring us a loaner the next day. We were not prepared to have it looked at on Monday, let alone taken out on Monday when our repair appointment was supposed to be Tuesday, we had to clear things out. We asked the delivery driver if he could just take it on Tuesday since he would be coming to bring us a loaner that day anyway, so it would be just as easy to exchange it then, & he said yes, that would be fine he could pick it up the next day when he came to bring the loaner. We were left a phone message later that said "the driver was going to take it today and since you refused this service, you will have to bring it in yourself or pay for the pickup fee". I was LIVID at this point & called the store. I spoke with the girl there & she was extremely rude, talking over me, & when I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager. I explained that the driver told us it was fine to wait till he came back to pick up the dryer, & we did not "refuse the service" at all, if we had been told that if we asked for him to wait one day till he was coming back anyway to take it would result in them claiming we "refused the service" we would have cleared everything out and let him take it, but, we were told it was fine. She very snootily said "Well it;s NOT fine." & was raising her voice to talk over me. (how dare they ask someone to PAY a fee or bring it in themselves when they are supposed to be under warranty still, & it is completely their fault for selling broken junk that never worked right in the first place!) I then asked if we could just get a refund & return the merchandise, we didn't really want them anymore anyway because nothing worked & they sold us pieces of junk. She said they do not do refunds. I had to hang up. She was over the top rude & I was losing my temper. I finally got a call from the owner, who is the same guy who came to our house to fix the washer. He made me explain why we didn't send the washer with the driver that day. Since the driver told us it was ok, he said they would schedule for pickup the following Monday between 9-1. He said we would not be charged, & they would be bringing a loaner to use. He also advised us that we were not to be using this dangerous dryer anymore. So, behold, the shocking surprise that we stayed home and waited all day for them to come, & they never showed up, & no call. We are out hundreds of $$ and they are complete FRAUDS! read more
