I am paying for 1 Gig internet and consistently receiving around 90 Mbps download speeds. That is not even remotely close to what I am paying for. I contacted customer service multiple times and instead of troubleshooting the issue properly, I was repeatedly told that I "have to use their router." That is simply not true. Customers are allowed to use their own compatible routers. Being told otherwise felt dismissive and misleading. I requested that a technician come out to check or replace the modem since the service clearly is not performing as advertised. I was then told I would have to pay $150 for a technician visit. Why should I pay to fix equipment or service that is not delivering what I am already paying for? On top of that, customer service was extremely frustrating. Communication was difficult, and resolving anything felt impossible. There was no ownership of the issue and no real attempt to fix the problem. After this experience, I have decided to switch providers. I would strongly recommend researching other options before signing up. The speeds have not matched the advertised service, and the customer support experience has been very disappointing. read more

3 weeks ago they sent a contractor for installation who drilled 6 unused holes in my drywall, without permission. They sent another tech came patched some of the holes w/ putty, assuring it would be covered by Frontier. However the drywall holes weren't completely sealed or patched. Then they sent me a $150 bill for the second tech. After numerous phone calls, chats, and a damage claim, nothing was resolved. I'm still left with holes in my wall, risk of moisture and termite, and a bill, and several hours wasted. read more

Left debris post install on 3 occasions and finally after promising to leave the existing service live as it belonged to someone-failed to turn on the modem taking others off line for the day after three promises and notes explaining they where NOT authorized to touch the service. I ordered Frontier Internet on 9-23-25 to be installed on 9-25-25. On 9-25-25 I decided to check the status of the installer. My account showed cancelled. I called and spoke to about 15 different extensions and no one knew why the install was cancelled. I got about 15 different explanations. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they could not directly transfer me I would have to wait 48 hours for them to call me back. We had them a few years ago, now I know why I got rid of them, they are useless. I would give them less than one star, but Yelp does not allow this. read more

Frontier established my service just fine. Since then, they have been a nightmare!!! I opened a second account at a second address. They said I could not just add it to my current account - I had to establish a second, separate account. I thought fine, no problem. But, since my phone number and email address were already associated with my original account, their automated system will not take me to the new account. I tried for nearly two hours on the phone to get past their automated phone system and chat system, and finally got to a human representative. They told me they had disassociated my email and phone number from he original account and they took my payment information to set up auto pay on my new account. What do you know, I still cannot establish my online account, as it circles back to the original account, no matter what I try. But, I thought, at least auto pay was set up and I will get my $10/month bill reduction. Nope, I just got notified (by text, on my phone that will not allow me to get to the new account) that I had not made a payment and my account i now overdue! And that automated system will still not allow me to talk to a human representative! Frontier, your automated system is THE WORST. Your internet service is okay, but your customer service is HORRIBLE! read more

I have had frontier for about a month and it has never worked. I called for support and they wanted to charge me for a service man to come out and force me pay for more equipment. Frontier internet service is a scamming extortionist internet provider! I've been with this service since 2021, and while i've had minimal issues, this is why I'm giving them a 1 star, when I switched over to Spectrum due to bundle savings, Frontier tells me that I have to pay a $50 return storage fee for returning my router! What kind of nonsense is this? I have to pay to return equipment? Do not use this service period! When speaking to the manager, she tells me this is in small writing in the contract/ agreement. DO NOT EVER think about getting their internet service. It is unreliable & goes down sporadically. During the fires I didn't have WiFi for an entire week. I gave them 3 opportunities to fix the dropped signal I was getting and finally I had enough & cancelled. On top of that they hit me with a prorated installation charge, restocking fee & wouldn't prorate my last bill. I don't see how Frontier is still in business. Will also be reporting them to Better Business Bureau. I usually give every business the benefit of doubt but they suck big time. read more

I recently signed up for Frontier's internet and television services through You Tube television. I did not have a good experience. Technical support was horrible and the employees I spoke with on several occasions were either uninformed or rude. Frontier quite possibly has the WORST customer service in Thousand Oaks! Some water line workers accidentally cut the unlabeled Frontier cable two days ago and we have been without service ever since!! The worst part is that I have not received one phone call or email about the outage and they have not even been out to fix it! And don't expect to be able to get someone on the phone! Frontier cable came to my 80 year old parents house, to give them internet at 10am 12/21/23, 10 minutes later the internet went out. The man promised someone would come today, ASAP, nope their appointment is 12/28/23, maybe the 27th. In the meantime the man stole the old equipment from Spectrum, and left. Spectrum was understanding and cool and is coming to help my parents tomorrow between 8/9. Frontier guy hung up on me because he felt I was mad. They don't care, once the guy was gone I don't think they ever planned on helping until after Xmas. I know they shouldn't have gotten Frontier but it happened, and never ever again. They are a waste of time money and energy, they have absolutely NO customer service and they don't care at all about their customers. Don't do it. NEVER EVER GET THIS COMPANY!! Frontier linked my account to someone ordering new services to the address where I live and then they are having reactive my current services with them. Unable to get an actual life customer service rep on the phone to let them know that the new service was made in error!! Line was cut so we called to get someone to come fix the line. They made the earliest appointment which was more than a week away. Called to try to get an earlier appointment or to see if someone cancelled so we could get in, customer service had no clue what they were doing. Still haven't had anyone come out to fix the wifi a week later. They put a $20 credit on our account which is virtually nothing compared to what we pay. If your service goes out, good luck getting it fixed in a timely manner. 1 out of 5 stars. Get Spectrum or something else instead. read more

Fraudulent advertising alert!!!! Frontier promised me a $75 VISA rewards card for signing up for their 500 speed internet service. I signed up but wasn't impressed with the speed, so I contacted Frontier and they upgraded my service to gigabyte service, at a higher monthly price, and also advised that they would upgrade my $75 VISA rewards card to a $100 VISA rewards card for making the switch within the first month of service. I never got either reward. When I called them to resolve this issue today, they told me that by upgrading my service, I lost the right to receive any VISA rewards card at all. Frontier is a fraud so do not trust anything they say to you, even if it's on their website. read more

We have Frontier internet service for my business. Our phone are internet also. Unfortunately we kept them when we moved to a new suite. We moved to the new suite April 1st. We had talked to them last fall when we were first looking at moving. They started sending us bills after the first of this year for the new suite. My partner spoke to them on MANY occasions explaining no one was in that suite and no internet service had been set up. Finally last month it appeared that they had it corrected and have sent correct bill which was paid. This morning our internet was turned off with no notice. When my office manager called them they said it was because we owe them a ton of money since November! We asked them to look at the history and notes in their system. They said they had no notes or history info as each service rep handles the issue each time someone calls, no records are kept. After an hour of trying to get someone with some sense we were told around noon that the service would be turned on in an hour. As of 5PM still no service. read more
