I've taken both of my vehicles here and have been very impressed by the communication and customer service. My first car I took to a local dealership and they quoted me $2000 for the repairs needed. Frontline was able to fix the previously identified issues along with redoing my winterization and replacing my battery for $1800. My second car needed a lot of attention and I was sure it would take some time to diagnose and repair, regardless I received regular updates on the process which made me feel in the loop about what was going on with my car. Overall I've had nothing but excellent experiences with this shop and plan on continuing to use them for future needs. read more

Transmission flush.....that's it....over 800$. Make sure you ask for a quote, because they won't tell you, otherwise. Was quoted 300$ elsewhere and thought that was unreasonable. Online sources suggest a cost between 130-200$. My Dad just paid 140$ in WI. I was told, that's part of getting work done in Alaska. Never again.... read more

Extortion for services not needed. Tried to give me An inspection when I DENIED It. I don't need to have my Vehicle checked when I work On it on the regular. Just needed coil swap to be done and nothing else. They tried charging me 800-900 dollars. I will NEVER go here. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My son lost the front wheel off his vehicle while driving away from school. Our insurance had us tow the vehicle to this shop & they quoted my son $250 for $150 worth of parts, 1.5 hours of labor for a 30 minute job, and an additional $75 charge for it being cold outside IN ALASKA! When we questioned their billing practices, they then said we had to tow his vehicle elsewhere, as they were not going to budge. Do not use this shop!!! They price gouge and are very disreputable! And you can see their response full of excuses below. We are having it towed to a reputable shop where the cost quoted out the door is $188, and they don't charge extra for the fact that it's cold in Alaska. read more

Great service. I needed a lot of work done to my truck. I was referred there by a friend who has the same kind of truck. My friend told me his truck hasn't had any problems since and that they do great work here. He wasn't wrong. They got all my repairs done very quickly. It was easy to get an appointment booked and they worked with my warranty company to get me the lowest price possible. Very friendly staff, very good service. You get the sense at this little shop that the employees really do care and that's very hard to find. read more

I called and initially asked them to do an inspection and alignment on my vehicle after doing suspension modifications, I did the inspection and re-torqued bolts myself and on the day of my alignment appointment I asked them not to do the inspection anymore and they agreed. I went to pick up my vehicle and they had billed me $220 for an inspection fee. They said they had to do the inspection to do the alignment, which is true but also would be included with the alignment at any other shop. I have always paid $120 in the past for my alignments but this time I decided to try and keep my business local and ended up paying $440. I will never ever do business there again, rather than dispute the charges I chalked it up to a lesson learned. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

First time using this shop. Severely over priced. Was told I needed a $135 inspection prior to a wheel alignment. I told them I just replaced the entire suspension and steering. Other shops include the inspection as part of the alignment cost. I have been repairing automobiles for over 30 years and have never heard of an extra charge for a pre alignment inspection. Then I was charged $311 for an alignment that took 30 minutes to complete. Told me it was a custom alignment since the vehicle had a slightly lower stance. Over $400 for an alignment!! Most shops charge around $100 for an alignment. I made an appointment ahead of time to have the alignment completed early. Dropped the car off at 7:30 in the morning did not get it back until 4:30. That will be my only time using this shop. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I've lived in Alaska for almost 40 years and am currently not in state. My sons wheel fell off, at a very low speed. The car got towed to here. My son calls me because he wasn't sure about what they wanted to charge him was needed. They where quoting him $243 for an "inspection" of the front end. No work was actually going to be done just an inspection. I asked them not to do the inspection and asked them to replace the studs and replace the wheel and put new lug nuts on, which can be done in well under 30 minutes. I was asked to pay $75 for the car to be moved inside the shop on top of their $135 hourly rate. The next day I was told the car couldn't be moved inside and so they wanted to charge me the $75 extra for the mechanic to go outside because it was cold outside to fix the car. I was quoted to replace a just a hub with labor would be $493. The parts came from Napa. So I called Napa and was quoted $141. For a hub, rotor, lug nuts. So when asked about the price I was told they had not quoted me for a rotor and with a rotor it would be more. The end of the story was they wanted to charge me $219 for a hub with no rotor, and two hours of labor for a part that cost $81 At Napa for entire job that should only take 30 minutes to do. Just so we are clear complete retail parts from Napa was $141 that included hub with studs, rotor, lug nuts. They wanted to charge me for an $243 inspection, $219 for just a hub, two hours of labor at $135 hour, plus $75 dollars for working in the cold in Fairbanks in the winter. So if I had let them continue with this repair it would have been $807+ for a job that should have been $141 in parts and 30 minutes of time. After explaining I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I was out of state, they declined to do any work because I was questioning their pricing. I had the vehicle immediately towed to another shop and was quoted $187 for a complete repair. read more
