Not a single person was seen but the "open" sign was on so we walked in cautiously. It also smelled interesting in there so we were whispering about running out of the place. We stood around for a couple minutes, quietly debating if this place was actually open as well but someone eventually wandered out from the kitchen. We were warned that a good portion of the menu was out and later learned that the machine the makes hot drinks wasn't in operations. A Classic milk tea it is! It was super sweet and the caffeine wrecked me come bedtime but hey! I knew what I was getting myself into. Miss Dessert is brightly colored and spacious place with lots of comfy seating. I think the logo is suppose to be a mango inside a durian which is what their store name means. How fun! Even the color scheme reminds me of mango and durian colors. I'm sad that their Mesa location closed but at least this location still exists for the east valley folks.

I could have saved hundreds maybe thousands of dollars over the years. It comes out to be $1.75 plus tax for a 5 gallon water fill up. The water is reverse osmosis which is the same quality as the water delivery companies. Also, you can come in at your convenience instead of waiting for the delivery truck to drop it off each month. ANNND... if you really can't wait, there is a water dispenser on the outside of the store for 24 hour self-serve water-filling. These external fill stations are a little banged up from vandalism, but the spouts looked clean and still functional. This place is really clean inside which gives me confidence of its sanitation.They have all your water needs and even sell bottles, caps, dispensers, not to mention, little knick-knacks and random novelty items. ANNND... Thrifty ice cream and snow cones and other snacks! Yep, you can be healthy by getting your water and then be unhealthy at the same time by getting some sweet treats. It's all about balance, right? This store is like those little shops you grew up with as a kid and dipped into your piggy bank to get a treat. This is a family run business and I hope it stays in business, because it is tucked away in the corner at the end of the shopping plaza and easy to miss.
