So if say the service was fine, I do hate ordering from Grubhub/DoorDash because those companies are just horrible, but besides that the service was ok. NOW the food on the order hand wasn't good. The meal tasted like oil, and butter I didn't taste anything in the FB sandwich, not any sauce,the cheese sauce nothing just oil and butter. My husband got the 3 piece chicken meal and the chicken was oily as well, we loved the fry's but they tasted like frozen fries,Lastly the mashed potatoes are lacking flavor and tasted instant, the gravy was flavorful but lacked salt as well. I will be back to try the food again, only because I went 2 hours before closing, so I'm hoping that it might taste better when they open.

Mayo all over chicken sandwich, after ordering no mayo

Simple as this, completely empty, I walk in, order a sandwich without mayo, wait ten minutes, get food and drive home, sandwich is covered in mayo. How do you mess that up. Also was denied a refund lol. First and last time I'm spending money there! :/

So let me start by saying the food that we ordered was very tasty but the lower score is for the time it took the food to be ready, for missing items that we ordered but paid for and for not answering the phone at 6:35pm while they close at 7. I ordered a take out order on the phone for my husband to pick up. The guy who answered the phone was very helpful and courteous. Since they don't have a website, I used whatever pictures that were online of the menu to order and I asked the guy on the phone to help me pick any additional items. I ordered the 8 chicken bucket which comes with 1 side, we chose waffle fries. I also ordered the rice with chicken and he suggested the 3 chicken tender sandwiches which are basically one order and I asked for the sauces to be on the side. I also ordered an additional coleslaw and the picture I saw of the menu said the bucket comes with bread on the side. The wait time was supposed to be 20 minutes. My husband got there 5 minutes after I ordered, so he went shopping at a store nearby in the meantime after he paid for the food. Even after spending 15 minutes at the nearby store, food was still not ready. He had to wait an additional 10 minutes or so. When he picked up the order, my husband did not check to make sure everything is in the bag. We probably will next time. When he got home, the food was relatively still warm. The sandwiches had the sauces on the side but they were not covered with lids so while driving here, they spilled onto two of the sandwiches and outside the container because that opened too, so the food was also a little cold. Also, there was no waffle fries or bread. The chicken tenders on the rice were a little dry, didn't seem fresh but they still tasted ok. The fried chicken pieces were really good, had a nice flavor. The sandwiches were also nice with some of the sauces they provided. I tried mine with the FB sauce which was good. After we finished eating, I decided to call the restaurant to let them know that the food was good but they missed a couple of items. I tried to call twice at 6:35pm but there was no answer. I am not sure if they don't pick up the phones past 6:30pm because they close at 7 but I would have liked to speak to someone regarding the missed items. Overall the food is good. Price for everything was around $45. If we have a better experience next time, I will definitely update my review.

Decided to see what the hype is all about! It doesn't appear they have a website, just a Facebook (with no menu photos), so I viewed the menu via the photos on here and placed my order telephonically. The menu may not be accurate as I attempted to order "The Flaming" and was informed they did not have it. Similar to "The Flaming" however, is "The Dynamite" as it was coated in hot Cheetos which is not per the description. Bf had "FB" which is a Buffalo chicken sandwich. We shared 1 large waffle fry. The order was ready within 10-15 minutes of placing it. Oddly enough when we picked it up none of the tops were on/sealed and the worker packing our sandwiches made no attempt to close them lol. The sandwiches are served on thick slices of buttery French toast- a nice touch. Rather than a patty the chicken in the sandwiches are 2 large tenders. The tenders were moist and juicy! The sauces appear to be made in house and come at no extra cost. The FB was supposed to be Buffalo chicken however it tasted more like honey mustard. We're assuming they mixed the sauces up lol. Aside from the minor mixups (we're assuming) I would definitely return!

He's the fried chicken king! So... Halal chicken? Heck yes! Got the eight-piece fried chicken, half regular and half spicy, with a bunch of sides! It was their soft opening (I know, I know, this review is two months late) and the lady with the pretty eyes up front hooked it up! We had all the sauces, mashed potatoes, Mediterranean rice, and some mac and Cheetos. Everything was good! I couldn't really tell which chicken pieces were spicy if I were honest but the chicken itself is amazing and had seasoning in the batter. I had heard the nephew of the owner at Green Corner opened up Fryd Bird with a friend. No wonder Fryd Bird is so good! Talent runs in that family!

We dug in before the photo. LOL! Go now! Fried chickie at its best. Sweet, flavorful, moist and CRUNCHY. Waffle fries perfect. Tender but a crunch. Sauces are all the bomb. Variety is the key. The mediterranean flair of the rice is lovely. Slightly warm with cinnamon. And the sauce for the rice reminds me of another country where love and thoughtfulness run deep in families. Is that a hint of mint? My hubby loved his tender in the hot dog bun. Lots of drinks to choose from and tea. Such a thoughtful management. We will return.

Half my 8 piece bucket spicy with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Good buffalo sauce and ranch on the side.

Great fried chicken made to order, so it's nice and fresh! Stumbled upon this place near my hotel. Delicious house made mashed potatoes. Awesome Cole slaw, not too sweet or too much mayonnaise. I got the 8 piece bucket in spicy with my friend but wish it was spicier. Really clean and modern interior. Sweet staff. Nice sauces. Will be back

We were the only customers when arrived. Food took about 10 minutes to be cooked fresh. The original batter chicken was perfectly crisp and added flavor to the chicken. The fries and waffle fries were the best. The grilled chicken sandwich was made with chicken tenders with lettuce, cheese, mayo and dill pickle slices. Even the bread was perfectly toasted. I highly recommend eating here if you're hungry for chicken. The interior is a typical small restaurant and was very clean. read more

It was super delicious! Really nice service and made us feel welcome! We ordered to go, I love the garlic sauce!!! 3.8/5. Ordered a bucket of spicy chicken and side of mashed taters to go. Chicken was juicy and good. Great crisp. I didn't get any hint of spice tho. Mashed potatos and gravy was pretty darn good as well. I didn't receive a couple of itmes on my order but I never include that in my rating. All about the food only for me. The chicken is SUPER flavorful. We had the Dynamite and FB with fries and mozzarella sticks. Both sandwiches were 10/10 and for $8 a steal. These things could easily be shared. Fries and mozzarella sticks left something to be desired but to be honest they specialize in their chicken so I'm good with it. Can't wait to go back read more

Have you heard? Fryd Bird is the word! I finally got the chance to check this place out after seeing their signage go up a few months ago. The staff is incredibly friendly and the woman at the counter was kind enough to walk me through the menu and all the different options they have. I ordered the Dynamite sandwich with waffle fries. The staff also brought out a side of the mashed potatoes and rice for me to try. The sandwich was really good! the chicken was juicy and tender and the lettuce/tomatoes/pickles were fresh and crisp! I was so full! everything was so good, but the story doesn't end here... the staff must have known that I'm a bit of a fried chicken slut, cause the woman brought me a piece of the fried chicken to try... Sweet Jesus!! The fried chicken was AMAZING! its crispy golden skin had the perfect amount of crunch and the flavor was so good! the chicken underneath was juicy and flavorful. They also have a plethora of sauces to try with your food. Their garlic aioli added a nice twist to the fried chicken! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone that has a pulse and loves fried chicken. Fryd Bird knows what they're doing! read more

Very friendly staff and delicious food! We went during the soft opening and were given some sauces to try before picking our sandwiches out. We did wait for our food, but it's the soft opening, we understand. Once our food was done, we took it home to eat. They gave us a side of mash potatoes and sauces for no additional cost. I've been here 3-4 times and the chicken have been consistently good, consistency is always a win for me so I'm leaving a good review. Chicken is crunchy and piping hot as they seem to be fried to order. A three piece combo took 20 minutes to make but that's expected; so probably not a good dine-in lunch spot if you're on limited time, but can always order beforehand. I wanted to try their waffle fries but they were out. They are generous with their sauces and will give them out instead of charging for them like most places would. read more

Fryd Bird is pretty damn good! The staff is very friendly and prompt! The chicken is nice and crispy and flavorful. I ordered Sweet Teriyaki Roll, which was a fried chicken strip with teriyaki sauce and chopped peanuts. I also ordered the garlic chicken sandwich which had a good amount of flavor. This my second coming here. I came during the soft opening and it good. The lady was nice. The food was great! The only thing that brings it down it's cause of the wait time. You will have to wait 20-30 mins for your order. My first time I went here I waited for an hour to get my order. Yes, I understand they want it serve fresh but they should have some prepared already since it's a fast food restaurant. People want and expect their food right away. Not having to wait for a long period time. Please fix that. read more

A quiet Sunday visit to pick up a light lunch. My chicken tender sandwich and waffle Fry's (see what I did there), was a nice lite treat. The chicken had a nice crunch on the outside and good flavor. My wife's grilled chicken sandwich was also nice. The outside patio was nice and quiet and it is still cool enough to eat out there. Service was quick but expected as it there almost wasn't anyone there at the time. read more

Not sure how they stay in business. Dinner time 6:15 and I'm the only one here. 22 minutes before I get three pieces of chicken, and one piece is a wing. I'm sorry $12 for three pieces of chicken and one's a wing and a dozen waffle fries 22 minutes, it was spicy spicy and not sure how I was supposed to know that but it was edible if you don't mind spicy. read more

Let me just say I am a honey mustard guru, and this house made honey mustard is delicious, I even licked one of the caps clean lol. Overall I came on a Saturday around 4p.m and it was pretty dead so we sat on patio and enjoyed the lowering sun. All of this plus a fountain drink for $30 and some change. read more

We stopped by for dinner, and there were three things that stood out. First, the food is really good! Second, the service is also great, and third there's outdoor seating and it was a really nice night. We tried the chicken tenders, the spicy fried chicken, and the fries, and we really liked all three. The tenders were flavorful, moist, and easy to eat; the fried chicken had a nice spice to it; and the fries had a really good seasoning that we never did figure out what it was, but we ate quite a few in our quest for knowledge! We spoke to a number of different employees, and each of them was knowledgeable about the food, really engaging, and kind. We will be coming back for sure! read more

Not sure what all the rave is about. Some of the blandest chicken I have ever had. I chose the spicy and there was no flavor- much less spicy. Big pieces of chicken in the 8 piece bucket along with a pair of toasted small burger buns. The waffle fries were not bad but definitely not a reason to return. read more

Amazing! Move over Chick Fil A and Popeyes chicken sandwiches because there's a new place on the scene. The portion sizes are amazing the sandwich was amazing and the waffle fries a must. The sauces are so so good to dip both the chicken and the fries into. The owner suggest I get the garlic chicken sandwich and it was so so good, the only thing holding me back from coming back here more often is that I don't have any room for the carbs! Don't come here with anything but an empty stomach and hungry appetite! Oh and they serve halal which is a must for some! read more

When we walked in, it was already pretty packed, and more people kept coming in after us, so that's always a good sign lol. The service was also amazing and everyone was really nice. Obviously we had to order the fried chicken, and I loved that all the sauces came on the side so you could dip and try different flavors without the chicken getting soggy. And the biggest surprise for me was the cheesy corn topped with pork. I would have never thought of that combo myself, but it was actually so good. Creamy, savory, cheesy perfection. We went pretty late at night, so parking was easy for us, but I could definitely see it getting hectic during the day since it's in the same plaza as H Mart. So best to double check before going!

After deciding on fried chicken, instead of traditional wings, it took way too long to place an order despite 5 employees (not sure if they were actually employees, it just seemed like 5 people running a co op and hanging out or something) being near us. As we were waiting for our food, we glanced around and saw many odd things like a filing cabinet used to store chopsticks and other items. We wanted to sit at the bar but half of it was taken by employees, boxes of shoes, really random items. After about 15 minutes the chicken came out. No sign of the ranch that we requested, but at least we had food. After looking at the chicken, it became apparent that they had brought us wings. I asked the employee if they had made a mistake, but he let me know that their fried chicken is all wings, despite the word "wings" never appearing on the menu in the fried chicken section. The saving grace here is that the chicken WINGS were quite tasty. The breading was crispy and the sauces were good. I could see how this would get soggy for takeout, so I recommend dining in for fried chicken WINGS. Overall, super weird place but the chicken WINGS are good.

So we decided to try it out. Boy was. I glad I stopped here! Now this is in a strip mall. Almost at the corner, Next to a Circle K or 7-Eleven. I can't remember which. Pretty big restaurant with several tables and booths. Clean and well lit with a large menu board. Service was prompt, and we were immediately helped by what I presume to be one of the family members and owners. This looks like a complete family operation with mom and dad and family working in the back. Definitely my kind of vibe. We decided to try a little bit of everything, including the traditional wing sauce, and the lemon pepper which is wet. That's something you usually won't find here in Phoenix and their version was fantastic. Really tangy and lemony. The traditional hot wing sauce was also notable Because so many people get it wrong. You have to have that right Balance of Vinegar, which they definitely have. Wings are decent sized and the price is actually pretty on point. I also ordered the JC burger and two of their hot Dogs. While they weren't Sonoran style, hot Dogs, the owner referred to them as Homestyle Mexican Hot Dogs, they were still really good, and as you can see from the pictures, full of fresh ingredients. I do prefer the Sonoran style though, so I would love to see them add that to the menu. The burger was decent, but I didn't find the Patty to be that substantial. Again, the toppings and the avocado were really fresh, so no complaints there. The only thing outside of that is I really wanted to try desserts, but we were headed to the pie place down the street so I decided to pass this time. But I definitely am looking forward to grabbing a banana split on my next visit!

Of course, had to wait for the hype to die down before checking it out. Once there, the server explained the process - basically you just place all your orders through the iPad that's on the table. Very convenient to scroll through the different categories and everything has pics to help you decide what to order. Once you have your selections in your cart, you just send your order to the kitchen. You can do this for multiple rounds, basically just small to medium sized orders until you feel like you're at a good stopping point. The first thing to select is the broths. You can choose 2 broths or 4 broths. For our group size, the server recommended 2 broths so everything can heat up and cook quickly. We got the tom yum soup and the three delicacies soup base (seafood, mushrooms, jujubes). We also got an assortment of meats, veggies, etc. The tom yum soup was by far our favorite. The other one was too bland. Honestly I didn't know what all meats we ordered, just that they were delicious. Some other highlights were: pork dumplings, potato noodles, etc. We also got the signature dancing noodle, which I thought was purely for show, but the noodle itself was really great - super chewy. Haidilao is great for groups, especially so you can try a little bit of everything. It's not exactly cheap, but it's for the experience and meats are naturally on the more expensive end. Our total per person ended up being around $50. If your group orders more high end option, it could easily skew closer to $75. Had a great time here, would come back!!

By the time you order your broth, proteins, vegetables, noodles, and extras, you're spending the same amount you could spend at a James Beard award-winning restaurant, yet the quality of the food isn't even anywhere near equal. What Haidilao is really selling is the experience, not the flavor. As an Asian woman who regularly makes hot pot at home with family, I came in excited and left sooooo underwhelmed. The ingredients were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The broths lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and overall the meal felt more focused on presentation and service than creating memorable flavors. And even then, the service wasn't great. I frequently had to flag down the waitress for a refill or help. If you're looking for a first hot pot experience, celebrating with kids, or want the novelty of the noodle show, you may enjoy it. But if you're already familiar with hot pot and are coming primarily for the food, you may find it hard to justify the price. For us, the experience was memorable (and only because it was our first time trying this place). The meal itself definitely wasn't.

We were pleased to see Fryd Bird was finally open cos we've been curious as to the type of place it was gonna be... The first thing we noticed upon entering was the hip decor and the wonderful aroma! The menu is designed well and easy to understand and with some suggestions from the counter girl and the owner, we decided on the garlic chicken sandwich and a 3 piece tenders combo. The place was pretty busy on a Friday night and there was a positive energy. We grabbed the only open booth and started to check out the take-home menu in detail. I was just starting to think it was taking a little too long to get our food and our number was called. I immediately noted the size of the portions and how good it all looked and I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and hot everything was. I would have waited twice as long to get this quality! It only got better from there, everything was so amazing. The waffle fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. The tenders were so hot I had to let them cool down a bit but OMG, well worth the wait! They were WAY bigger than I expected and picture perfect. The coating is incredible....light and crunchy and very flavorful and the chicken is hot, tender and so moist! We can't say enough about the sauces here too, they really tie everything together. The garlic chicken sandwich was AMAZEBALLS as well! Chicken sammiches are kinda the thing right now and I would urge everyone to try one of them out here. The woman who we believe is the owner, was very friendly and came by our table and said she was going to bring us some rice and salsa to try and IT was so very delicious too! Needless to say, we are very blown away by everything that is Fryd Bird. This is a very smart place. GREAT food, cool digs and the owner's energy/hospitality is totally making this the spot to be!!
