After a while - (we had a hard time getting attention again) I ordered another round for us, and when I asked for another virgin mojito, the new bartender said. We've been to Fuego a few times now and their food is notably good! Birria tacos, posole, elote, no matter what you get it's full of flavor and always delish! The downside to Fuego is their customer service is subpar, at best. We've had decent service from a waitress before, but this most recent trip the waiter should consider his customers before personal conversations. Our order is taken, and ordered chips and salsa with it. 15+ minutes pass by and our waiter checks in to ask if we're good and I had to remind him about the appetizer. Not 5 minutes after bringing the chips out our food is delivered to us, and we have to ask him for napkins and silverware. My wife ordered posole, and he brings nothing but forks. I promptly ask him for a spoon for our posole, and while acknowledging it says he will be right back. Another 5+ minutes pass and he is just in the back corner of the restaurant having a conversation with a waitress. I had to leave the dining table and approach him to ask him where my spoon was. Fuego would easily get a 5 stars based on their food and atmosphere, but their service from the staff needs a lot of molding. read more

Twice now they have brought out my requested "no cheese" order WITH CHEESE. The first time, I recommended to my friends we eat here so we did. When I sent the order back, they must have put my order at the back of the line cuz it took FOREVER to come out. I was embarrassed. The 2nd time, my correct order was faster to come out, but they supposedly had a new bartender who used spiced rum instead of white rum in my drink. This is my 2nd time going to this place and I just walked out. My 1st experience was an awesome experience and the 2nd time is a total flip side of the coin. My observation is that there is a regular in-crowd and if you are not part of the in-crowd then you don't get the service and respect that you deserve. Wasn't a big fan of the carnitas but was still tasty. Wasn't as dynamic of flavors as the other two which were excellent. The rice and andouille sausage tasted like instant and I wanted bigger pieces of sausage. It was hard to find the sausage and the pieces were small and dry. The vibe was very casual and bar like. The food is excellent- my partner and I have loved the tacos and enjoyed cocktails as well. This place obviously focuses on making good cocktails and turning out delicious food. Waitstaff have been attentive and cheerful and manager was friendly. Obviously a popular spot- they've been packed all 3 times we've eaten there. My complaint is the volume of the music- too loud for comfortable conversation with people at the same table. Lively background music? I'm all for it. But if I want music blasting in my ears I'll seek out a nightclub. On our most recent occasion there I'd say the music choice was more for the kitchen staff than the customers and there was a clear lack of situational awareness when the rap song yelling at me at the end of my meal was aggressively dropping "F--- you" and "motherf--cker" all over the place. Very much an adults only scene, apparently. I listen to a lot of heavy music and my musical tastes are diverse, so I'm not dissing the musical genre, but enough is enough when I'm trying to unwind with my lady on a Saturday evening. The staff was dismissive and we did not receive good service. The place was dirty and lint flew from the ceiling into my sisters food. The plate I was provided had chili stuck to it along with some food. We ordered the shrimp ceviche lobster roll, three tacos, the chips with three sides and the posole. I went for the lobster roll, which lacked flavor and tased like it was red chili powder and honey.. needed salt and my sister took one bite and never had another. The roll itself was rubbery, and did not have a nice crisp like you would expect from a lobster roll. The only good thing about the lobster roll. Was there was a lot of lobster. It's just sad that it was wasted on subpar seasoning . Our waitress recommended the avocado taco, which was deep fried, but was not flavorful and crispy either. The shrimp ceviche was really sweet and also could use some salt to balance it out and even some more lime juice. The home made chips were thick, and we were hoping they would be light and crispy. They also were not seasoned. I had to get up a couple of times to request assistance because our waitress left after serving and no one was assigned our table. I'm so glad we went back here. The food is so much better than my first visit and the staff is excellent . our server Leah was so sweet and always checked on us during our meal. She let us know it was really busy so the food may take a minute and if we wanted an appetizer. This was very thoughtful of her to say. Cocktails are a bit syrupy and sweet. The food? Kitchen sink Elote was a bit overwhelming and needs more nuance.
