Can I tell you how much I love the food here? I mean, it's so damn good! From the tacos, to the quesadillas, the birria, the burritos, the nachos, so many excellent choices to be had here. And their salsa is on point to boot. And if that weren't enough, their aguas frescas are pretty damn good too. The food alone deserves a four-star, if not five-star rating. But unfortunately, a rating isn't just based on the food alone. Their prices have gone up considerably since they've opened -- I don't recall when exactly they opened, but it was at least a few months before the pandemic hit. Prices of course have gone up nearly everywhere but their price increases hit pretty hard, which was unfortunate as FC is 100% one of my favorite places to eat. I get it, it's the cost of doing business but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Also frustrating is that when you order birria anything, the consome isn't included in the price. You pay an extra $1 for a 4oz cup of consome. On that note, they also charge a small fee (it was .50 the last time I was there) to use a card to pay. So take it for what it's worth. Fantastic food, but the prices are a little steeper than I'm accustomed to for Mexican food. Would absolutely be a four-star but the prices drive the overall rating down. read more

My 8 year old son and I went on a New Year's Eve date, and this was our first time coming here. There's some positive and some negative in this review. First, the front of the house staff woman was very helpful and nice, and second, most items on the menu were competitively priced, except for the kids very limited menu, it was over-priced. Third, I ordered the burrito especial, and asked for the beans and rice to be on the side instead of inside of the burrito, which they did for me. The burrito tasted great, but the rice and beans were cold and the rice was burnt. Fourth, my son ordered the cheese quesadilla, which had the perfect amount of cheese inside, but his rice was burnt and cold as well. And finally, fifth, the restaurant itself was a little shabby, and you ordered at the register, which I didn't like, that made me feel as though I was ordering something at a convenience store. This place is a good weekday lunch spot. A lot of working professionals come here. The food is pretty good and the staff is attentive. The restaurant is clean too. Here's a listing of what I've tried thus far and my assessment: 1) Quesabirria: super tasty!!! Messy to eat, but, well worth it. It's a cheesy, wet, soft shell taco with birria inside. Recommending this one the most. 2) Street taco: classic soft taco. The meat was good and overall it was a good buy. 3) Taquitos locos: not enough meat. They were ok. 4) Fuego fries: it's a meal on its own. It was a lot to eat with anything else and by the end, I felt like I had too much salt. 5) Aguas: really refreshing. I recommend you get a drink. 6) Beans & Rice: Don't get beans or rice and you'll be ok. They really ruined the experience. The beans were too salty while the rice was both over and under cooked lol. The first few time I visited I was very pleased. My hard shell chicken tacos were exactly what to wanted so this was my new spot. Picked up for to go once and saw less than an A on the window, needless to say that was the last visit for a long time. I gave it months to maintain the A status before I returned. The first visit back the service was awful. I felt like such an inconvenience. But the food was good and the green salsa is my favorite. Fast forward a week or so and did a to go order for my daughter and grab more yummy green salsa. She was very pleased. We go back this week, service was horrible again took FOREVER to just get chips and salsa and her carne asada tacos which she ordered last time were different. We tried to see what the difference was and all we got was, "well this is the same recipe for 30 years"....:my point is obviously there was something different one of the times considering she ordered the same thing. Today was our first time here. We ordered to go since we had groceries in the car. I got three carne asada tacos and one of birria. My husband ordered the carne asada torta. Everything was delicious! The meat is top notch. I was surprised that the tacos held up for a to go order. We only live a mile away, but this is the first place that we've come across that uses one tortilla for street tacos. As a relatively new local in Beaumont, I love exploring and supporting local businesses, especially local restaurants. Fuego Cravings has been a favorite spot for their birria, surf & turf burritos, and birria ramen. I have been coming here for almost two years now. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience overall last night. I ordered my food to go, and while eating my surf and turf fries, I felt something out of the ordinary as I started to chew on my fries. To my surprise, the foreign object I pulled out appeared to be a tooth or something that resembled a tooth. I immediately placed the object in a bag and called the restaurant. I spoke to the individual who rang my order, and she took my phone number and assured me that Edith, the store manager, would call me the next day because she did not have the authorization to give me a refund. I waited until noon for a response until I decided to go to the store to address the issue. When I arrived, I asked for Edith, and she offered me a new order of birria fries. However, I declined and requested a refund. Edith then spoke to the cashier in Spanish and told me that the cashier would help me, and then she went to the back. The cashier said the person who rang me up last night would have to call me to process my refund when she was available. I asked her why Edith couldn't handle my refund if she were the manager. I asked the cashier if she could get Edith to handle my refund. She went to the back, came back, and told me Edith had stepped out for a minute and would return later. Experiencing this type of customer service is genuinely unacceptable and disappointing. I won't return anytime soon to give my business to this establishment.
