Went here because the reviews were good! We'll never go back again! For two of us to have 3 tacos each and chips and guacamole was $35! No combo plates offered for this place and drinks were bottled sodas. The food was okay. I've had better tacos for sure. The chips were served in a basket with no liner, who knows if it was cleaned or not! The guacamole was more like avocado sauce! Salsa was like spicy ketchup! Now for the restaurant. Had about three people in the place. Tables weren't clean. But then you look up at the ceiling fan...disgusting! I don't think it has ever been cleaned. I should have taken a photo. There was at least an inch of dust/dirt/grime sitting on the blades. I was thankful we didn't sit under it. But it was right over the counter where they served food. I realized it had been almost exactly a year since i left a review full of suggestions, so I thought I'd get the same meal and see if there were changes. There were! I had the birria ramen (spicy). This time, it was served in a wide soup bowl on top of a plate. Tucked around the plate were lemon wedges and radish slices, and on top of the soup was a generous garnish of white onion and cilantro. It was colorful and appetizing, and the veggies were as fresh and crisp as they looked. Definitely an upgrade! The birria is still delicious, but I think I've noticed that the soup simmers all day, so the evening birria is much less ropey than the noon birria. I might be wrong about that. It was tender and savory and meaty. The ramen noodles were similar in quality and quantity to the previous year; I was once again out of noodles with half a bowl of meat left. That's a pretty good problem to have, but I do still wish they'd double the noodles. One of the stark white walls was painted ochre, and lined with red pleather booths that I find comfortable. The small black and white photos of astronauts and Supreme Court Justices have been replaced with larger color portraits of movie stars, the ones I recognize are from the golden age of Mexican cinema. Updated appearance, downgraded history, I call that a wash. I've gotten used to the wall mural, and that wall has plants on shelves now. All in all, they have put in the effort to make a good thing better, and I recommend this place without reservations. BTW, the tacos are good, the burritos are better, the chilaquiles were fine but should come with birria, and they still don't use any of the meat to make machaca, which is a tragic missed opportunity. I didn't love the nachos or fries, but I didn't regret anything, either. You really can't miss with any item that has the birria. Enjoy! read more

No customization or alternate options for the food you purchase. When asked to leave the chipotle sauce off of my sons shrimp tacos, we were told that they only come with that sauce on it. Couldn't change the sauce to a simple creama sauce. Ordered street tacos that were served with a brown processed type Guacamole. Ordered a cup of Guacamole w/ chips and received a half cup of gross processed Guacamole. Pretty sure we paid for a whole side and not a half. Their food presentation looks nothing like the pictures on their menu. Way overpriced for the quality of food that was served to us. Won't be giving them our business again anytime soon. read more

Super tasty food and friendly staff! Ordered the Birria Quesadilla, Birria French Fries, Surf N Turf Burrito, and Pineapple Aguas Fresca! The food was still really warm even though we drove 30 mins before eating it! Birria quesadilla was sooo flavorful and indulgent - cheese perfectly melty and tortilla perfectly toasty on the outside. Birra fries were loaded and they used steak fries which is just perfect. The burrito was also huge and also really flavorful! Their red and green sauces were great too - wish we asked for more. We have eaten Fuego a ton of times over the years and it has never disappointed until tonight. I am certain this is the first time we have had it since the new owners took over. We have always LOVED the al pastor at Fuego. Like it used to be TOP NOTCH better than anywhere else's. Not anymore. It used to be dark red so full of flavor and now it's light brown and lacks any flavor. Also, it was the only place to get quality aquas in town but, tonight my pineapple aqua tasted like I squeezed one slice of pineapple into a gallon of water. Fantastic food. It is a new building so it is very clean. The staff was friendly and responsive. I was attended too promptly and the wait was only about 10 minutes during my first visit. I called ahead on subsequent visits. We were visiting family in the area and staying at a motel a few miles away. Restaurant food can get old fairly quickly so I was searching for something different. I found a treasure here! It was 11 miles from our motel but I drove back 2 more times during our stay. I rarely take the time to write reviews but I have to give a massive shout out for this place. One draw back, it's location is a little tricky. I had to circle around a time or two the first time to figure out to get there but the persistence was well rewarded. read more

I've had the shrimp tacos, the shrimp Quesadilla. Both were great! The shrimp are huge. I placed an order with Door Dash. It was promptly delivered. It was delicious. The only problem I have is that you HAD to get a sugary drink. I can't have the sugar, and I don't like diet sugars. All I drink is tea and water. I'm sure their drinks are good, but I would really prefer not to have to have ordered one, or at least to have been able to get iced tea. read more

I ordered two fish tacos and my son 3 chicken street tacos. The Onion, cilantro and the juice was really fresh however, the fish looked and tasted dry and the tortillas were falling apart and dry as well.
