This is a quick and convenient sushi restaurant if you are in the area or stopping in for a movie next door but the food is just average. The sushi rolls are fairly small so two rolls isn't really filling for one person and the food isn't of exceptional quality. On the plus side, the sushi is really cheap, especially at lunch time. I got a three roll combo that also came with soup or a salad and it only cost $11. The value is pretty great so I would stop here again for a casual and quick lunch but when I really want to enjoy a sushi meal I rather look for better quality seafood. I had the spicy scallop roll, the Alaska roll, and the squid tempura roll. Out of all three, the squid tempura was by far the best and I wouldn't really suggest the spicy scallop roll. read more

I typically only get sushi here, so I'm not a good source for some of their other meal options. Every roll we've received has been fresh and very well prepared. The flavor is excellent and never "fishy" which some places and sometimes lean towards. There's quite a bit of selection, every time we stop in we'll get our "usual's" as well as something new and different. So far we've never been dissatisfied. Service is always decent. They won't ignore you, nor will they hover. Just the right amount of attention. *sigh* Now I want some sushi, look what you've done to me. Give it a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Interior is very nice and the server was very patient with us when we couldnt decide our sushis!! We chose the fat lady roll and the sex on the beach roll! The food here alone deserves five stars. Everything is ridiculously fresh, and prepared expertly. I had the soft shell crab, and a bento box with teriyaki salmon. The soft shell crab was better than any I've ever had- so perfectly crispy and juicy. The bento box was excellent as well. Also, when ordering drinks, I HIGHLY recommend the Thai iced tea. It was legitimately the BEST iced tea I have ever experienced. It ha milk in it, and comes unstirred. After giving it a quick stir though, the tea tastes almost like creme brûlée, but manages to not be too sweet to drink with savory food. The staff was also extremely polite, and friendly, yet distant enough for me to enjoy my meal uninterrupted. The food was fairly cheaply priced as well. It was more expensive than fast food, but less pricey than most of the local restaurants. I DEFINITELY recommend giving this place a try. read more

Went here on a whim because my husband wanted sushi. We live close by and remembered that our last experience was good. This time that was not the case. The server was not very friendly not helpful. We asked questions about the menu... specifically about a certain type of sushi to where her response was to point at a 2-page spread of choices. As if to say you need to look for it yourself. After we ordered my kid received her salad which had bugs in it. My husband didn't receive the right order. My kid's meal had raw/uncooked meat, which once we returned the meal it took them over 30 minutes to remake it. At this time my kid and I just ate off my meal and we packed up the other meal. We had an awesome time here! We visited on a Saturday on a whim and it wasn't busy. How?! It was a total win! The interior was very nice and clean! They have a fish tank with a fish and turtles. My son was ecstatic. I saw they have the traditional short legged Japanese tables too! The service was good as well. No complaints! The food was super good and tasted fresh! I got the avocado, AAC, and veggie rolls. The rice tasted great and they didn't add too much. I don't like when there is a ton of rice and you can hardly taste anything. I ordered miso soup, a regular roll (eel and avacdo) and a specialty roll (spicy crab, avacdo, shrimp tempura, topped with scallop, roe and eel sauce). The scrap melts in your mouth and is the best I've ever had. Right proportion of rice, not overly done like some restaurants. Priced appropriately, so not bad, but I will come back on one of their special nights. They have a full bar, a few tv's, options for booths , tables, the bar or sushi bar. This has been my favorite restaurant for years now. The sushi is great quality and priced very well, and the service is always amazing. Through covid, we have been getting takeout and it's just as good as in-store, plus it's usually ready in 20-30 minutes. They have great lunch specials (bento box is a 10/10) and a variety of food on the menu so that anyone can find something. My family always orders the harumaki and shumai and I highly recommend the shrimp tempura, spicy crunch salmon, and pink lady rolls. Amazing sushi, friendly staff, great atmosphere and fair pricing. My sister and I were excited to see a new sushi place open up so close to and couldn't wait to try it! We both ordered a couple of rolls: Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, Panther Roll & Spicy Tuna. Each bite was better then the last. As we were waiting for our sushi to come out the sushi chef gave us both an appetizer "gift". It was strips of fried salmon skin on a green seaweed salad. It might not sound tasty, but it was one of the BEST things I've ever eaten!! And it's not even on menu! Try asking for it when you're there and see if the chef can make it for you. We have been going to Fugu since it opened. While it isn't the best sushi I have ever had, it is at the top of the list and definitely the best on the east side of Columbus. I like the original cozier side the best, but the new side has floor tables, many TVs, and sometimes live music. The one waitress that has been there every single time we have eaten there (probably near 30 times now) is a sweetheart and very fast with service. The others, you might be waiting a little bit... So you might not want to buy your movie tickets first. After trying various rolls in the beginning I stick to a fugu and Alaska roll every time. Seated and wait staff finally appeared to take our drink order which was only water and it took 10 minutes before they returned and scurried off before we could place our dinner order. Finally we placed a dinner order that started with miso soup. After 20 additional minutes our server returned stating they were out of miso and had to make a fresh batch. This is my family's sushi spot and it has been since they opened. We live just around the corner and it is very convenient. They are super friendly and very accommodating. The staff is awesome, as they cater to us and my kids as if they were their own. They are always happy to see us and very pleasant. One of the best things is that they always have some chop sticks put together with rubber bands for the kids, which makes eating out a little easier, plus I use them every once in awhile too. The menu is filled with fantastic rolls and specialty rolls, plus, let's not forget their Sashimi, Nigiri and some traditional dishes as well. For my wife and I the King Lobster Roll (Sweetness of the lobster and the fresh taste of the cucumber marries together and forms a great flavor) and the Pink Lady Roll (first off, spicy salmon with a pink seaweed wrap and avocado) once again incredible flavors. These are our 2 favorites and must haves every time we make an appearance, which is usually 2-3 a month. For our kids, they love the Gyoza (Pork and Vegetable Dumplings). If you are in the area and looking for sushi and something not from a drive-thru window, try them. We have never had a bad experience and the food is always worth the wait and price. read more

Our regular go to for Asian takeout was closed yesterday, so we thought we would give this place a go. I have to say my husband and I were thoroughly disappointed with our meals. I got the shrimp tempura and while the shrimp was OK (if overly battered with the tempura batter), the accompaniment veggies were soggy. Husband got paid Thai and said that it was simply not good and barely recognizable as pad Thai. I understand that this place usually serves sushi, and perhaps their rolls are to die for; I'd be willing to give those a shot. However, my husband does not care for sushi, and our experience with their non-sushi dishes was not good. I would suggest somewhere else, unless everyone wants sushi. read more
