There's lots of sushi in the valley but not lots of QUALITY fish. This place has the quality I look for when it comes to sushi. Fresh, flavorful, tasty slices of fish on top of good sushi rice. The yellowtail was my favorite but the salmon and toro were good too. I got the "mekishiko roll" and it was spicy as hell. Be warned! This roll is for people who LOVE spice, not just like it or can tolerate it. Service was very friendly.

All I have to say is... AMAZING! We ate on the Chiguacle Sabor Ancestral side but ordered from both kitchens. Service is great. Wasn't my first time here, however my first time trying their sushi, and oh my !! Whoever came up with these signature rolls did an amazing job of combining flavors from Mexico & sushi. Very fresh! My son loved the Crunchy tempura roll & my husband and I had MEKISHIKO ROLL, SINALOA ROLL, spicy yellowtail roll & MAZATLAN ROLL. 10/10

    nothing was fresh unfortunately

aww unfortunately the taste and fish quality wasn't the best . just bought three of their rolls. when I arrived I knew that the fish wasn't going to be that fresh, just know when your fish taste like nothing or water, it's not the best fish quality. makes me think that they should not be in the sushi business. I definitely wanted to like this spot on I just spent 60 bucks in here and my experience was that the best.

With my husband not liking sushi or Asian cuisine, this place is perfect for us! I get to have what I like and so does he. The food was absolutely amazing, so flavorful and tasty. The miso soup can use some help with a bit more flavor but the soy sauce helped me out. The Edemame by far the best flavor I have tasted anywhere. Great service and everyone is very kind. The place is always clean and is a comfortable place to enjoy a peaceful meal alone or with company. I recommend this place 100%

I'll start with the few negatives because, honestly, there weren't many. With how popular this place has become and the number of regulars that come in every day, parking can be a little difficult. Thankfully, they have someone outside helping direct cars and navigate the parking situation, which definitely makes things easier. The interior is also a little outdated and could use some updating, but once the food comes out, you quickly forget about it. Now for the good stuff. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Great service always makes a difference, and the staff here really added to the overall experience. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Rice Cake, Crispy Shrimp Roll, Mula Roll, and KB4 Roll, and every single one was a hit. Spicy Tuna Rice Cake -- Easily one of the highlights of the meal and an absolute MUST TRY. You get four pieces of crispy rice that have the perfect crunch on the outside while still being light and fluffy inside. They're topped with avocado and some of the best spicy tuna I've ever had. The tuna was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and creamy. I could've ordered another plate of these by themselves. Crispy Shrimp Roll -- Another must-try. This roll has so much flavor and the perfect amount of crunch without being overwhelming. At only $10, it's honestly hard to pass up. I can definitely see myself ordering this every time I come back. Mula Roll -- This one is definitely on the pricier side at $28, but it's worth it. It's loaded with premium, incredibly fresh fish, including unagi and tuna, along with avocado and savory sauces. The fish was buttery and fresh, with a subtle kick of heat that brought everything together. Definitely a roll for anyone who likes richer, more flavorful sushi. KB4 Roll -- A great combination of spicy tuna, yellowtail, albacore, and salmon. What I really liked was that the fish was served chunky rather than finely minced, so you could actually appreciate the different textures and flavors. The fish was incredibly fresh and practically melted in your mouth. Absolutely delicious. Overall, Chiba is a hidden gem in the Valley and easily one of the better sushi spots I've tried. Between the quality of the fish, the flavors, the portions, and the friendly service, it's a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 -- Highly recommend! If you're in the Valley and looking for a new sushi spot, put Chiba on your list. You won't regret it.

Service is great, very attentive servers kept our waters full and came by often. The sushi itself is very good, we ordered several rolls with a few standing over the rest. The carwash roll was absolutely delectable, not on the menu, probably my favorite of the night. The crunchy shrimp handroll was amazing. We also ordered a shrimp tempura cut roll that comes with a unique sauce that stole the show. Overall great quality sushi, we were very happy with all our choices. The dedicated parking lot is a decent size, no trouble finding parking. Check this place out if you're in the area and in the mood for good sushi!

I also don't have time to be writing reviews these days. I hope that sets the stage for the weight of the words I am about to say to you So yeah.. sincerely was not expecting much walking into Shiso Sushi. In fact, from the outside, this place honestly looks kinda closed down? Scratched, tinted windows, maybe some graffiti, barely any sign of life except for a faint "OPEN" sign doing its best. I swear I *almost* turned around and went home. Inside doesn't change that first impression tbh. No presentation to the menu design, dated decor, very old school neighborhood sushi joint energy. Then the food hits The fish quality is legit. Clean, fresh, and clearly coming from a strong supplier. The preparation is thoughtful and balanced. This is the kind of place where the food completely outperforms the room. (Only real knock: the rice. It's a bit dense / tightly packed. Missing that airy, delicate texture you'd expect from top tier sushi in Japan) Service was attentive and warm throughout. Honestly, this place is a hidden gem trapped in the wrong wrapper. With a proper redesign makeover... branding, exterior, interior, menu... it could easily punch way above its weight. Until then, just trust the fish 彡

I ordered the Shiso Tempura Roll, which I was expecting a normal roll. Instead the presentation of the plate was spreading out each slide of the roll. For $14 it's not too bad, most specialty rolls would cost significantly more at other sushi places so cost wise this was a pretty good value.

The restaurant was also very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Everything was fresh and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back because I think I just found my new go-to sushi spot!

I drive by Fuguya so much but have never bothered to actually try it until tonight. I have to say - what a refreshing experience it was! The portion sizes are generous! Yes! The quality of the fish is also quite nice and the flavor is not tiring. Not like Octopus, where I can get tired of eating because the same flavor profile is consistent across all the dishes. No. Fuguya might have just become my new favorite spot for AYCE. In terms of price it costs the same as Octopus but the value is bigger and the quality is better! The fish to rice ratio is on point. The service is spot on. My only gripe is how small the dine in area is. Luckily there was one booth available in the corner when I arrived. But what a gem of the Valley! I am definitely coming back. The best AYCE experience I've had in 13 years! Fuguya beats out a lot of the other AYCE sushi spots. Hand down. And trust me, I've been to almost all of them by now.
