It was the perfect amount of food for lunch and I opted for noodles instead of rice, which was definitely a good choice. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a very nice flavor. Arrived with six friends. Right away, they put two tables together and sat us down. The sushi was beyond fresh and delicious. I had the Crazy Girl Tuna. My friend next to me had the sweet potato sushi and the friend in fro.nt of me had the Threreturn. The names of the sushi are pretty provocative, which makes it fun to decide which one to order. We came for dinner on a weekend night expecting it to be very busy and they were! We lucked out by getting an empty booth fairly soon. Meanwhile they were setting up for a large group at tables in the middle of the small dining room. So we were also happy to get our food order in before tat group. As they were so busy, the staff was a bit harried. It took awhile to get utensils, chopsticks and napkins. We did get our drinks fairly fast, however. I have to say that I liked this restaurant in spite of my not ordering correctly -- that is I didn't love my food, but looking at the rest of its menu and there are other items that I'd like to try. I got their soft shell crab appetizer. I didn't care for the very heavy and overcooked breading. There was no crab taste. In fact. I questioned the server thinking she'd given me chicken tonkatsu. Oh well, won't order this again. I also had their krab and avocado salad. I've had this in other places where it's been served over lettuce. Here it was mixed together with a lot of mayo and a bit gloppy. My husband had a very good dish, however, he had their rainbow Naruto roll (no rice). It was pretty to look at as well as tasty. From the moment we walked into Fujisan Asian Bistro, we knew we were in for a treat. The restaurant was clean, the Hostess was charming, and the food turned out to be amazing. The traditional Japanese menu offered something for everyone. I had the Seafood Miso Soup, the spicy Tuna roll and the BJ Special fried roll. All three dishes were terrific! My date had the Hibachi Chicken w/Vegetables that came with Miso Soup. She, too, enjoyed her meal. The portions were huge and neither one of us came close to finishing. Had lunch there today after too long an absence. The food is as good as ever as is the service. Luncheon specials provide very large servings at extremely reasonable prices. I had chicken pad thai and hot and sour soup - arguably the best I've ever had. My daughter had the amazing rock shrimp appetizer and the luncheon chicken hibachi. The place is organized, pleasant, immaculately clean and comfortable, although small. Going back next week to enjoy different entrees. For starters, I got the chicken teriyaki for almost $13 which doesn't sound like a bad price but the food portion was ridiculous; it was like a portion for a toddler. Crazy, I spent almost $50 for 4 items(including a 20% off coupon) . I also got the hibachi chicken and the flavor was awful it quite salty and very tasteless, in my opinion I think a food drive could serve better food. By the looks of the paper it seems good, but trust me it is NOT, please don't waste your money. We were pleasantly surprised by Fujisan Asian bistro. I have often driven past the establishment but never stopped, now I am sorry I did not. We arrived and all the tables inside were taken, so we just shifted to one of the outdoor tables . We were well taken care of and the food arrived on time and well prepared. There was a wide variety of Asian food available on the menu. Our daughter and husband ordered a"boat dish". And it actually was an assortment of sushi dishes and it was very tasty. They also had an active take out clientele. We will definitely return to sample more of the expansive menu. read more
