Pickles and Chow-Chow relish was only good, baked beans very good, famous slaw very good, fried okra good, collard greens good, small corn muffin good, draft beers good, service very good, no view, no scenery, fast-food ordering and format, ranking Good 4/5. Got the pulled pork nachos. The chips were pretty soggy, but the pulled pork had a decent flavor. Paid like almost 9$ for just the nachos, no drink and no sides. So for the price, I'd say it's so so. Either way I'd maybe visit there again to try a sandwich or something. read more

All the service at Full Moon is horrible. First of all, we ordered a 16oz Coke and a 16oz Sprite, but got charged for a 32oz. ($1.99 vs. $2.39 the drinks are already expensive). The Sprite tasted like Club Soda. We also ordered a turkey sandwich and got a pork sandwich?? We noticed that the order was wrong as soon as we got the receipt. Fast food meets bbq joint with a fairly large menu with many choices. They also have beer on tap, in the bottles and wine too. After going over the menu I got the brisket nachos. They had a good bbq sauce , extremely large serving and all the fixings that would go on nachos. The brisket was moist and full of smokey flavor. I also had the green fried tomatoes and the fried okra. Both were down great and fresh. Downsides to the place my brisket was cold, getting a beer can be a pain and workers not liking their job. Last trip for me. Today was approx my 6th time eating here and every time I order the Big Baker potato. It is never, EVER hot - so today I asked to please make sure it is hot. The mgr behind the counter immediately said "it's because you put the butter and sour cream on it, that's what makes it cool down". I looked at him bewildered and said "no, it's never hot and I don't use sour cream". (I also do not use their cheap margarine). He piped up with "it is kept in the oven at 34 degrees". I'm thinking he must have either said or meant 134? I ordered it with extra cheese (I got 1 tsp extra, not Tbsp) and sat at my table hopeful for a hot potato, because room temp baked potatoes are never appetizing. In 10 min, here comes my lunch on 2 different plates. I'm baffled. The potato is laid open and bare with my meat in a side bowl, bbq sauce in another. The other plate had my toppings in individual mini cups. I sat there dumbfounded! How does this solve that fact that their potatoes are NEVER, EVER hot??? Felt the potato and no surprise, room temp. Took a bite of the meat from the cup, cooler than room temp and was almost powdered meat, more like sawdust. I was so mad I asked for a to go box, scooped up my over priced potato and took it back to work where I microwaved it. This place is overpriced, the food is low quality and they are too cheap to offer any coupons or lunch deals. No point in downloading their app, all they do is send you ads about how great they are - no deals, no rewards - like 99% of all other apps offer (take notes Full Moon). I used Yelp in the decision to eat here initially because we were traveling through so figured I would leave my thoughts here after our experience. Maybe it will help someone else's decision to eat here. First off let me say that the staff were one of the best things about the restaurant. Customer service was very good. We were greeted with smiling faces and friendly staff. They offered suggestions and offered help wherever needed since it was obviously our first time there. When our meal was done, manager was present and asked how everything was. This was nice to see. Food was pretty good. Nothing extremely overwhelming. I enjoyed the sides that I got, the Mac and Cheese and Collards, more than the pulled pork or the moon dog. I enjoyed their "special" chow chow and BBQ sauce. I wish there was a tad more variety as far as sauce goes ,but they also had an Alabama white sauce which was quite good. It wasn't a deal breaker for us. We finished off the meal with a piece of chocolate pie. It was fair at best. Crust was a tad soggy and tasted like chocolate pudding with whip on top. Overall if we were in the area and wanted BBQ we would most likely return. read more

I hate yo give bad reviews but the service at this place! Wow! We had a catering order and they had us sit in the dining room to wait for it. They said they would bring it to us when it was ready. 23 minutes later, I check with them and it had been sitting in the back. WTH?? It took them forever to ring it up and the line was out the door. The full moon in tiger town is... okay. The best thing they have going for them is their vast menu,chow chow and white sauce. The actual bbq sauce is sweet and sugary and not my taste. Out of maybe 15 visits, only twice was I disappointed with the meat portion of meal. Once my ribs where way too salty and one time way too tuff, as if they had been quickly grilled instead of smoked. The best things on there menu are items that complement the BBQ. I have had maybe 75% of the menu. The bbq salads, bbq stuffed potatoes and Thier non bbq meats are best. If your not a bbq snobb are haven't grown up in the south eating a variety of Pitt smoked meat, you should enjoy it, but to me it's average food. read more

This place must be named Full Moon BBQ because their horrible service makes customers show their a$$. First, my beer glass had a bug smushed to the inside of it. Second, the burger they brought me was not what I ordered. I sent the burger back and they brought me the wrong burger AGAIN. They only have three types of burgers, so the third time they brought my burger out it was the correct one. All we got was a insincere "sorry" and shoulder shrug. By the way, don't order the pimento cheese burger unless you want a kids meal size burger between two pieces of white bread. It was our first visit here and we will never be returning read more

I've only had their BBQ nachos and their coconut cream pie, but both were delicious. I will say that their prices seem high for what it is. I can go down the interstate and get better BBQ Nachos at Jim 'N Nicks. read more

I have eaten here numerous times that were good (even at other locations), but yesterday was horrible. I don't normally even write reviews, but it was so bad that i felt others should know. First, they advertised the side of the day as butterbeans, but as someone who grew up in the south, mostly in Alabama, those were anything but butterbeans; instead, those were grossly overgrown and overcooked Lima beans (nasty). The BBQ was bland and tasted like it had been held in reserve for way too long (mealy tasting as the overcooked mislabeled butterbeans). The last straw was when I had ordered two beers with my dinner (and I understand Alabama's ABC laws that I can't get both at one time), but when i went back to get my second beer; one of the cashiers who was there when I ordered, exercised his Napoleonic authority to demand my receipt when only one other couple had come in since I ordered and there was no way he forgot I had ordered two beers unless he was an absolute idiot. I doubt my wife and I will be back anytime soon and we used to eat there weekly. We are very disappointed in the management of this location; it keeps getting worse. read more

I usually do not do reviews but I am beyond disgusted how the general manager Mandy just handled my complaint call. I called to inform them of the rude cashier in the drive thru; all she said was ok. I called back to ask for her manager and told her I didn't like how she handled it and not once did she apologize. Her exact words to me were "ok whatever" and she hung up the phone in my face. That's not how you run a business and definitely not how you talk to a PAYING customer! You have lost a customer! I will be informing everyone about your rude staff! read more

The chow chow sauce in the box was leaking. I wanted to replace it before giving it as a gift. I was disappointed when I saw it was closed but I did see an employee cleaning up and taking the trash out. I stopped and asked if he could help me. His name was Jacorious(spelling). He was very kind and professional. He immediately listened to my problem and helped me by getting a new box and making sure it was in good shape. A fine young man with great customer service attitude. Full Moon should be proud of this young man. I was impressed and it will for sure insure I return to eat there again when open. Visited within a couple weeks of opening. The BBQ was terriable, neither of us could eat it, the manager didn't give a sh|t and wouldn't do the right thing, and I took the 2 plates home to my dogs. Had high hopes, as convenient location with endless parking, but of of course things never seem to work out. Overpriced for very low quality food. Bad service. Poor management.
