Half rack of spare ribs
Whitney B.

This was my first time coming to this location and I was not disappointed. The restaurant has inside and minimum outside seating . The ribs were good and tender. The half rack of spare ribs had 6 pieces which is not bad. Also, the meal came with bread and BBQ sauce. The customer service was good. I went through the drive thru and waited about 10 minutes which was not bad. Overall, I am satisfied.

Waited 25+ mins in drive-thru only to find they ran out of chicken BBQ bakers. Disappointing.

Visiting from out of town and I was all over the place with what I wanted. Jada was amazing!!! She was patient, took time to discuss and explore the menu with me. As the only person working the register she calmly took care of everyone coming in and delivering food to the dining room. I certainly plan to visit again before we head home.

Albeit I am not from Alabama, nor do I know barbecue as well as some people, but I genuinely thought this place was great. We had a group of seven walk in 40 minutes before close (I understand we're those people), but the staff were still very kind. The food was delicious and had me finishing everything even though I knew I was going to puke later (because of the portions). Did I still finish the plate? Hell yeah, and it was worth it too. Food was fresh, even for the end of the day. Fried green tomatoes are have a nice vinegar/pickled flavor to them, and probably my favorite side. Don't forget the hot sauce & you'll be more than satisfied. -A California Man

Kickin Cheese Burger

"Not enough, overpriced, and no flavor and a HAIR in my burger." Despite reading the reviews for Full Moon BBQ I decided to try it for myself. We started with the pork nachos. It only had enough BBQ to only eat with 2 chips. And the cheese and toppings were underneath the chips in the paper. I then ordered the pimento cheese burger. It was dry, small, and didn't even come with a side. I got the fries to go with it and it was the store bought frozen fries. Only like 7 friends in the container. The only flavor was from the Alabama White sauce they have available. When I brought the hair in my burger to the attention of the lady I believe to be the manger, I was given a refund. She was very professional and kind.

Horrible do not apply here! The assistant manager is nasty and has the worst attitude and auro for his ripe of an age it's sad!

Went in for a interview at 4 and walked up to the front to tell the Assistant manager "hey I have a interview at 4" he's said "well your gonna have to wait" I said "ok I'll sit over here" 20 minutes go by I go back up to the front and say "hey my interview was 20 minutes are we still on for the interview" He looks at me in disgust and rolls his eyes like I'm the problem and walks off. So I'm I'm like um ok that was odd so im waiting at the front still for him to come back im trying to ask again he walks off again I wait some more he keeps walking off like im irritating him! So finally the General manager comes up and is like "sorry for the wait if you can just fill this out I'll get to your interview" so I walk back to the booth and thought about it and I just walked out. The Assistant manager was beyond rude I don't understand how you can be so nasty at that ripe of an age it's sad I couldn't believe how he acted towards me it was completely disgusting and bad behavior for as old as he is you should be nicer. I thought this was going to be a great job the food smelled great and the girls at the front seemed friendly but that Assistant manger was very disgusting and rude and unbelievable. He could of simply said "hey I'm the assistant manager but the general manager will be right with you to do your interview" that would of been way better because I completely understand it's 4 and people are coming in for dinner, but the way he acted just turnt me completely off he shouldn't be working there or anywhere that involves customer service he has a nasty auro.

Blegh. That's about all I can say. The sides were tasteless and the BBQ had way too much fat. I was not impressed

Hog Daddy’s BBQ

Hog Daddy’s BBQ

Took the family to a water park in LaGrange and was desperately seeking real food…read more Now I am from GA and love BBQ. I do a bit of my own as any true Georgian does. And my BBQ is pretty darn good. When it comes to eating out I have a rule that the place has to make something or do it in a way that is either cheaper than I can do or make better than I can make it. Hog Daddy's nails both of those points. My kids are quite picky eaters. They tend to gravitate to the typical 6-year-old habits of chicken strips and other fried foods. My girls were not pleased that I chose Hod Daddy's at first. Then they tried it and asked me to go back the next day and get more. The girls loved the pulled pork sandwich which they said "needed nothing else, it was so good." He even chopped up a 1/4 chicken leg for my twins that wanted chicken instead of port. That was not on the menu but he obliged as he saw I had my hands full with these picky girls. They loved the chicken sandwich! My wife and I got the Pulled Pork and Ribs platter. Between the two of us, we had Brunswick Stew, Potato Salad, and Baked Beans as sides. As you know, you can judge a place on it's stew. Hog Daddy did not disappoint. His Brunswick Stew was FIRST RATE. The pulled pork was top notch. Juicy and did not need sauce. The ribs were perfect. Fell off the bone and were also juicy and full of flavor. My wife and I were stuffed about half way through the platter. It was a TON of food at an amazing price. We stopped in the next day and picked up more food for the drive home. Stop in here if you are in the mood for BBQ you will love it. The kids will love it. This is some great BBQ. PS: I sampled the Chicken and Dumpling Soup. OMG if you have the opportunity to get some, do it.. you do not know what you are missing. I don't care if it is 95 degrees outside, this soup is worth it. Bummed I did not get a bowl while I was there.

I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. You can tell the owner really takes pride in the food quality and provides very friendly service. A place you'd want to grab and go and don't forget to get some extra sauce (about $2), it's clearly made in house and very delicious depending on the style you might prefer. You will want some more of it. We tried the brisket, chicken, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and some great sides especially the beans and potato salad (good spice flavor balance). My family all enjoyed making sandwiches from our various well smoked meats. One thing I would consider is a bit more heat, but I'm sure every area and individual has their own preferences. All around excellent value and deliciousness!

I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.

One of our neighborhood ladies printed out the menu, from their website and put a copy in everyone's mailbox, so that everyone could get an idea of what they may want to order. Well, when the food truck arrived the owner informed us that he did not know where we had gotten the menu, but that he did not have those items. Said he only had sandwiches. Then one of our sweet neighbors wrote down all of the items available on an easel. This should have been done ahead of time by the owners. The owner proceeded to start taking orders ever so slowly. And we waited......it took an hour for my husband and I to get our order. And then when we got home realized that one of the sandwiches was not what we ordered. Several families left because they could see it was taking way to long for them to take orders and produce the food items. Then, as there were still people in line waiting on their orders, the Dad and the son who were in the food truck making the food got into an altercation. The son came out of the food truck and the father followed. They proceeded to have a fist fight with offensive language beside the truck. The father told his son that he could walk home. So, not only was the food a disappointment. The personal behavior of the family who were operating the truck was very unacceptable! They will never be welcomed back to our neighborhood and we would not never recommended them to anyone.
