I like Fultano's. In fact, I (we) like Fultano's so much that we make sure to hit it every time we're in Cannon Beach. Which, until recently, has been twice a year like clockwork. I like simple pizza. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I don't NEED fancy artisan meats, cheeses and vegetables. Fultano's introduced me to the combination of ingredients that I enjoy most on a pizza - Canadian Bacon, seasoned ground beef and fresh, crisp, cold slices of tomato. I believe it's called the "Michelangelo" on their menu. Their crust is thin, crispy and coated in cornmeal which I, personally, really like. We bought a pizza stone a while back. My favorite crust at home is after drizzling the stone with olive oil and dusting it with cornmeal. Yum. They've got a fine selection of cold craft beer, too. If you don't like cold beer with your pizza you're a communist, by the way. Just sayin'. The interior is... "quaint". Actually, it's tiny. We make an effort to go during off-hours because it gets downright cramped in here when they're busy. They do deliver, so that's an option to consider. We personally haven't had any of their pies delievered to whichever hotel we happen to be in (ordinarily the Inn at Cannon Beach). Don't ignore your impulses when you walk by and smell the oregano, garlic and whatever else is wafting out of this pizzeria at any given moment. They make a good pie! read more

I'll start this review by saying, Good Food. For most folks, Fultanos is a decent, low-key place. However, I'm writing this as the mom of a food allergic kid. Because it's not only extremely difficult to take a child who can't eat nuts, dairy or eggs out to dinner, but it's even harder to find reviews of restaurants so you know what places are generally accommodating. Fultanos is not one of those places. The place is run by a bunch of kids--high schoolers or possibly college age. And service-wise, they're terrible. The girl we dealt with (blond hair in a bun on top of her head) was surly and unhelpful. When I asked for anything the least bit unusual, she pursed her lips and almost rolled her eyes. I asked a guy (dark-haired, heavy-set) what kind of chips they served. He said, "Tim's." I asked if he knew if they contained peanut oil. He shrugged and said, "Probably." I asked if he'd go check for me. And he did. Grudgingly. (Tim's chips do have peanut oil, btw). We decided to take the risk and let our seven-year-old eat the BLT they served (we asked for no mayo and they did get that right). But I was really nervous the whole time he was chowing down. All ended fine, but I do hope that the kids who work at Fultanos one day have to experience the terror of taking a severely food allergic child out to dinner and dealing with similarly unhelpful and rude food service employees. This may be the absolute worst pizza and calzone I have ever tried. Ordered bc they deliver to hallmark resort. $26 later, I have a truly inedible calzone and marginal pizza. Pizza dried out, covered in burnt cornmeal and lacking cheese. Calzone didn't even taste like it is made with pizza dough, but rather bread or biscuit dough. Donna was super friendly and we felt at home in this fab pizza joint. They have a great selection of pizza and I recommend getting a small side of pizza sauce to dip your crust into. Did I mention how incredible the crust is? The salad bar is functional, but a little limited. I think that with the new health craze, more salad choices should be considered, like a made to order bbq chicken salad or a asian chicken or a Thai peanut salad. I love the variety of beer and wine! And the music here is right up my age zone. This is the worst pizza place in cannon beach. Our family ordered here the first time and the guy on the phone was so rude and not helpful at all. Wrong pizzas were delivered. Decided to give them a second chance when we came back to visit. Their website clearly says they deliver after 5pm, called at 6:15 and they told us they aren't delivering and said to come pick it up. Waited 45 minutes, picked up the pizza, got in the car and realized it wasn't even close to what we ordered. will not be going here again, staff is rude and pizza isn't even great. read more

Just went and dined at this restaurant today, if I can even say dined. First of all we entered an empty restaurant (first bad sign). Then the man standing behind the counter seem incredibly disinterested and a bored. The pizza was no better than a burnt frozen pizza. Yelp users let me ask you a question. HOW DO YOU SCREW UP PIZZA?!?!? I think that with some adjustments to the over cooked crust, flavorless sauce, there might be some charm to the place. We stayed in a local hotel this weekend and ordered 10 wings and a large salad for delivery. The order taker specifically asked what kind of sauce for the wings, ranch or blue cheese and we said ranch. 45 minutes later, the delivery man showed up and we paid and he walked off. Then we realized there was no ranch for the wings, and no forks for the salad. I was able to run after the driver at his car and ask if he had the ranch or forks and he said no... Luckily the front desk was able to supply a plastic fork for my salad, but we were out of luck for the wings. As for the food, the wings were plain and flavorless (oven cooked) and definitely needed ranch to cover their lack of flavor. The salad was clearly from a bag, and the dressing squeezed right from a generic Italian dressing bottle. We called the restaurant to let them know they forgot the ranch and forks and we were told they only supply forks "upon request" since hotels usually have them. Is the worst most disgusting pizza I've ever had so gross that I ordered two slices and had half of one slice out of hunger. The rest went right into the trash. There salad definitely came out of a bag (not fresh). The pasta was disgusting. Cute little place mere steps from where we were staying. Son was sure he wouldn't like it but loved it. So did wife and I. Wife, my mom and I loved Pietro's (NW chain) when we were growing up and this was closest we've found since. Visiting from out of town and wanted to grub on some good pizza. Sadly, surfside doesn't delivery on Tuesdays and we were somewhat reluctant to order Fultano's because of the reviews. My craving outweighed it all and we delivered to find our pizza at our door within 20-25 minutes. Super fast! The pizza was really tasty and totally worth the try if you like thinner crusted pizzas. I still love this place just as much as I did 4 years ago when I first reviewed it. We have noticed that the Cannon Beach location has the best food out of all of them. I had to update this review because I just had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. It was sooooo good. The spaghetti was slightly overcooked to my taste (I prefer al dente) but the sauce was just perfect. Flavorful, not too oily or sweet, and the meatballs had great flavor too. I would like to try the alfredo too but haven't yet. I had a tiny piece of my husband's pizza, and yeah it's still amazing! I like extra cheese on mine though. I wish they had an air conditioner. Old fashioned pizza at its finest! I'm a sucker for old school pizza. Reminds me of being a kid and going "out" for pizza with your parents or having a Birthday at a pizza parlor. This location of Fultano's has got it down, and I love it here. It's nestled in with many shops an eateries in an old brick building that makes the most of its space. Perfect after a long day of walking on the beach! Veggie options are plentiful here. They have the ubiquitous standard veggie with onion, peppers, tomatoes, but the real treat is the Greek for me. It's spinach and feta goodness on my favorite pizza crust, the cornmeal classic. I've stuffed myself here a few times! Negatives? It can get busy in a hurry, and with everyone in the kitchen working like made to keep up, the dining area can get pretty messy. They could use a person to take care of that more often. I love Cannon Beach, and I sure do enjoy a good pie. Fultano's is right off the main beach entrance from the city (a short block or two from the visitor's center on your way to the stairs down to the sand) and the pizza is pretty decent, so that nets a starting A-OK review. There's not a whole lot going for the place beyond the location and convenience... but I don't know that I can really call that a complaint. They didn't knock my socks off any of the times I've eaten here, but I've gone back and continued to give them my business. Sometimes it's OK to simply provide decent food at a hell of a convenient location. And that's what's going on here. If you're looking for a fine dining experience and care about ambiance, a personal relationship with the staff, or wine parings... well, I hate to tell you this, but a coastline pizza joint isn't exactly what you should be reading reviews about in the first place. Not impressed with this place. I ordered a half and half pizza. One Taco and the other Teriyaki chicken. \ Both were made with a red sauce. Which I thought was weird, and madet them taste funny. Terrible service all around. My husband and I stopped here for lunch one Saturday while in town and we were dying for a good slice of pizza. The place was not very crowded, a family outside and one in the dining room. We ordered a small pizza ($18!?!) and the very rude cashier threw our table number at us and told me to put my card in the machine. She slid our water cups across the counter and walked away. We found ourselves a seat and waited. And waited. And waited. Four large families had ordered and received their large orders before anyone came to our table. An hour went by and we finally asked what the hold up was. The same lady up front looked back into the kitchen area with confusion looking for our order, slamming around pans and yelling for the other employees. She turned and said "Well I guess it was never made. If you want to hang around we will make it for you." Um no thank you. I used to prepare gourmet pizzas early in my life, so I'm a stickler for pizza places. I like to see weird stuff, showing that the place is willing to be fearless and take a chance. After all the pizza dough is a vessel to carry whatever you want on top of it. Pepperoni, cheese, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc. are all fine and well, but FAR TOO COMMON. We got 1/2 Jose's Chipotle and 1/2 Haystack. My GF wanted the haystack which is a typical "mound of veggies and sausage on top" kind of pizza, which was really good, but normal, and but the Chipotle pizza was unique and super tasty! We also had a trip to the salad bar, and if you do go there, get the pasta salad, HOLY CRAP!!! I haven't had a better pasta salad. For whatever reason it was really REALLY yummy. I'm not sure if it was the vinegar they use or what. But it really stood out. Plus the salad bar has a lot of options and I think you'll be pleased. read more

Every time I've tried Fultano's Pizza in Cannon Beach, I've been quite happy. It's not the best of the best pizza that I've ever had, but it always hits the spot after a long day romping on the beach. My favorite aspect of Fultano's is the fact that they deliver to your hotel, beach home, cozy inn, or wherever you may be staying. They obviously know the hotels and houses pretty well because the pizza is always hot and there are never any problems locating the spot I'm staying in. This summer, I stayed an extra night in Cannon Beach with my parents at the Hallmark. I was originally staying with my better half and his family, but they were leaving a day earlier than my parents, who just happened to be staying in Cannon as well, so I stayed an extra night. Moral of the story is that my dad hates pizza. Somehow, my mom and I convinced my dad that Fultano's pizza was worth a try and after a short time of ranting and raving, he agreed. The pizza arrived about twenty minutes after ordering and was absolutely amazing! My dad and I ate up the canadian bacon and pineapple like it was our last meal on earth, while my mom enjoyed her long awaited coffee crisp dessert pie. Coffee crisp is my mom's favorite, and being such a hard treat to find, she was in dessert pizza heaven with her pie. A trip to Cannon Beach is never complete without a visit to Fultano's Pizza! Or at the very least, asking them to take a visit with some pizzas to your doorstep! read more

The toppings were generous and not terrible, but the crust was HORR-I-BLE. Like crackers that were left out on the counter overnight, and you bit into one before you had time to think. Maybe they can't get yeast out on the coast? Seriously, this crust was more like a dry-textured cracker than something fashioned from a living, breathing ball of dough.
