Great pizza, friendly staff, wonderful owner, just a great place to pop in for lunch if your in Astoria!

Great pizza, kind and accommodating owner. My son doesn't eat melted cheese and they made us a pizza with some slices that had no cheese and cut them perfectly so there was zero cheese on them. A great experience!

I wasn't planning to get a huge container of pasta today but here we are. You can create your own bowl which is what I did and they have A LOT of different options you can add to your pasta. It look about 15 minutes to get the food because we were one of the first customers and they had to warm up the oven. They have some inside seating but we decided to sit outside for a while because it was a nice day. The staff also brought my dog a bowl of water which he was highly satisfied with.

The photo cannot do any justice to how great this pizza was! Perfect crust, seasoned just right, but the CHEESE PULL was out of this world and cannot be matched for the price! Thank you for a lovely meal, in a clean establishment with superb service! Mac n cheese was light and splendid and was so good it didn't make the photo op oops!

The fries are nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy. P said his burger was good. Between us it was just the right amount of food and prices are pretty reasonable to boot.

The cooks and the drive in person and everyone waiting for a takeout order knows how she feels: She is saying it very loudly. We know how she feels about her sidework (she's not doing it.) we know how she feels about the phones. (She's not answering them.) We also know how she feels about the woman who is opening in the morning. (She doesn't like her) The woman at the front counter does not care that I have never been here before or that I still have 42 minutes before their 9 o clock closing time or that a menu is not readily available- she wants to know what I want to order NOW. I am waiting for a "pizza" as I was rushed into ordering something and am not sure what they have available without the menu she is unwilling to give me. I hope there is pepperoni on it, but I was scared to ask. I am giving this place two stars before even trying the food (not sure I want it if the food mirrors her attitude) because she is terrifying and I am scared what will happen if I only give her one. Hey lady, I get you don't want to be here. Everyone gets you don't want to be here. But chill. And give the sweet young man who brought my pizza to me the 30% tip I gave you on a carry out order.

Add in the incredible views of the Columbia River, and it's easily one of the coolest places in Astoria to relax and enjoy a drink. The cocktails are creative, beautifully crafted, and absolutely delicious. Their clam chowder is fantastic too. Thick, hearty, and loaded with meat, with a great consistency and a rich, classic chowder flavor. There was also a subtle hint of fennel that gave it something a little different without overpowering the traditional taste. After doing a chowder crawl and trying 10 different restaurants around Astoria, I would confidently put Inferno Lounge in second place, just behind Portway Tavern. Between the amazing river views, fun atmosphere, inventive drinks, and outstanding chowder, Inferno Lounge is definitely a place worth visiting!

Beyond the rolling fog of the Pacific and tucked within the historic charm of Astoria, lies a sanctuary of pure and unadulterated (maybe a little bit of adulterated) perfection. It is called Xanadu, and it is quite possibly the most beautiful display of queer community I have seen in years. I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own. Imagine a world where the staff and the patrons exist in a state of authentic joy. There is no drama in sight. There are no pretenses. It is a place where people gather for the simple pleasure of a shared laugh and genuine connection. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but it is the people who truly make it shine. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like they belong to something meaningful. And then, there is the pizza. It is genuinely quick, thicc and fantastic! It provides the perfect fuel for an evening of celebration. In a world that often feels fractured, Xanadu offers a beautiful symphony of community and warmth. You might just find the secret to happiness hidden right inside. Special shoutout to Josh and Brandon!!!

I ended up ordering a half pound of proscuitto (0.52 lb for $17.67). This was carefully sliced thin, packaged, and wrapped carefully, which was duly noted and greatly appreciated. We paused at window counter seats and had to sample the purchase before departing. Absolutely delicious! Helped elevate a meal the next day too. I may have to return to indulge in one of their Italian sandwiches. Update: we did return to dine onsite at the same window counter seats (6/22/25). The Homie had the Hot Meatball ($14).
