I was referred to Funk Bros through a friend. He recommended them because they are very fair! My first experience was with Hovig. He was very friendly and fair. He was very honest in my options and what it would cost to fix my car for each option. The second time I worked with Armen and he too is very friendly and fair! I am a single woman and at no point did I ever feel like either of them ever tried to take advantage of that. If they can't look at your car for an hour, they will tell you. None of this "it will only take 15 minutes". Don't get me wrong when they can get you in and out, they are quick! I won't go anywhere else! I would have saved almost $100 if I had just gone to the dealership. But I agreed to pay. So that means they can overcharge me! Yea! Great customer service! I found the place on Yelp, so I now use it to inform other Yelpers! There still is no explanation as to why the price of inventory increased between the estimate and invoice. The mgr just pretends to provide customer service. If you notice, nothing was resolved. No: hey, let's refund the $20 or let's get you a discount on the next oil change... No, just private messages asking why I didn't give 5 stars and taking issue with my casual use of the word "shady." That made me really start asking questions. I took my neglected 2002 Acura in here to diagnose a maintenance light. I told Hovig I planned to sell the car shortly so I wasn't planning to spend a ton on the fix. Within an hour, he had it up and had a list of suggested fixes, ordered by urgency and price. Ultimately, it wasn't going to be worth putting the money into the car just to turn around and sell it. He completely understood, reset the maintenance light (it was just an oil change reminder, which was up to date) and didn't charge me a penny, even when I asked. I've taken my car here about 3 times. They replaced an ignition coil in my car earlier this year. One of the cylinders was misfiring. Yesterday my car started to shake while driving & I pulled over and had the car towed to a mechanic shop. I got a call just now from the mechanic basically saying that the coil that was replaced was a cheap, crappy one and that's why the cylinder is misfiring. Now I have to pay the SAME amount I paid earlier this year for the SAME PROBLEM that should have been fixed PROPERLY. Also, took my car to Funk Bros and told them that the tire pressure light keeps coming on. They "fixed" it & when I drove off the light came on. They said "keep driving and it'll turn off". Nope. 2 months later, still happening. They also do not wear face masks or gloves during a global pandemic. DO NOT COME HERE. They are not pushy either, telling me to wait for certain repairs or what to watch for before I really need to bring it back in.
