Went there to try the new restaurant, ordered wings, poke bowl, fried Mongolian beef, shrimp wrapped bacon, ceviche. Wings were tough and super chewy Poke bowl was a mountain of fish and no rice, rice is the hero in a poke bowl. Didn't look appealing at all. Fired Mongolian beef, wrong rice, tasted like pudding, Shrimp wrapped bacon - was delicious but only serving of 5 shrimps. Odd number when a table is always 90% even numbers. Worst thing one can do. Ceviche - no acidity at all, if you don't know how to make ceviche, don't make it. You can seriously make someone ill. Overall the menu didn't make sense. It was all over the place, like what is your specialty, what are you trying to be? I will not be coming back. read more

Went with my wife for a date night. Ambiance was nice with good decor and music. Our waitress was great. She was new to the profession but she was very personable and just wanted to help make our night out without kids special and she certainly did. The food and drinks were very good. Had a Napa Valley Cabernet which was very nice and seemed to have a lot less mark up then most restaurants. For an app we had the coconut shrimp which was some of the best we've had outside of a coast town. I had the Cuban and my wife got the Korean BBQ bowl which we would both would order again. My personal favorite though was splitting bread pudding for dessert. It came out warm with a scoop of ice cream on top. Best bread pudding I've ever had. Nicely done, Fuse'd. We are all feeling the effects of inflation, I understand things cost more but I think this place just takes advantage of people. They offer a holiday drink for $11, it doesn't have alcohol which is unusual but I think I know why. They suggest you put rum in it and then charge you an additional $8 for rum in a drink that is only about 6-8 oz. So now the drink goes up to $19 and they don't tell you that until you get the bill. This is enough for me to never go back. I live within walking distance but I'm not going to give my money to a dishonest establishment. They also were out of menu items at 4 pm on a Sunday and their dessert menu composed of only 3 choices were dwindled down to one choice and this was before the dinner crowd. read more

We loved Fuse'd! We made a reservation for the first Friday night. It was open and to our surprise it was even better than expected! The decor and ambience was done so well. The service was excellent. Our waitress was so friendly and had many suggestions for us. We ordered some drinks and they were amazing even down to the glasses and the light up ice cubes. There were four of us and all of our dishes, came out to us and tasted amazing! We enjoyed it so much went back the following weekend and had just as good as an experience. Ambiance was great; comfortable seating, music was nice and the decor made sense. Service was also very good. Perfectly attentive. Food; The island shrimp app was very good. Cray cray chicken was good but the ratatouille was under seasoned. We also ordered the seafood pasta which was sadly underwhelming, barely warm and also under seasoned. Soup; Two on the menu but only one was a available at 6pm on Friday evening for some reason. Drinks; The naked and afraid was tasty, would order again. The IPA beer selection was severely lacking with only two choices. Dessert; Only two choices, neither of which contain chocolate, surprising. Would I come back? Yes, there are several other dishes that intrigue me and next time we'll see how well they make an old fashioned. read more

My husband and I had a chance to meet up with 5 friends last night at Fuse'd for dinner and cocktails. The cocktails were innovative and delicious, and the food was terrific. My short rib tacos were stuffed full of flavor and meat, and the accompanying corn and rice were delicious. My husband really enjoyed his Cubano and special beer made locally. Kaitlan's service was impeccable, and we never felt rushed or overlooked. The atmosphere was sophisticated with a warm vibe. The music helped to create the perfect environment for getting together socially with friends for an enjoyable evening out. I highly recommend, and will return. read more

Tried Fuse'd on their second night open. It doesn't appear too much has changed from the last update The Tap House gave the inside - it's still a very cool vibe and definitely has an upscale, urban feel to it. Played good music (IMO) but not too loud. Love what I think are new light fixtures and barware! Our service was really good - our waitress had tried everything on the menu and was able to answer our questions and make recommendations. Our food came out quickly and was served hot. Started the meal with the lamb meatballs as they were out of the conch fritters, which I was really hoping to try. That tells me, I think, that the conch fritters are popular! The meatballs were the tiniest bit dry, but the tomato sauce they were in was absolutely delicious and more than compensated for the SLIGHTLY dry meatballs. I had the Cubano sandwich, which was full of flavor and tender pulled pork. Loved the contrast of the spicy tender pork and the crunchy sweet/sour pickles. If you like a Cuban, I would recommend it. My fondant potatoes were fine, nothing special about them in my opinion. I'll try a different side next time! The star of the meal was, for me, the bread pudding! Let me be clear - I am a bread pudding SNOB, so I was skeptical about it. But it was fantastic! The bread was thoroughly moist all the way through, the caramel sauce was buttery, rich and gooey, no raisins or weird fruit mixed in. Giant ball of vanilla ice cream on top. HIGHLY recommend the BP if you are a fan. I also concur with another patron who was disappointed there was nothing chocolate on the dessert menu... I agree that could be addressed. My second time to Fuse'd. I had the Cray Cray sandwich. I usually eat half and take home for tomorrow. Not this time. I couldn't stop eating the sandwich. I highly recommend Fuse'd. Our visit to fused for lunch was really good. Our server Carly was very nice and recommended a salad that I asked about an apple caramel salad, which was delicious. My husband had a Wagyu burger that was done just the way he likes it and we both had a bowl of corn chowder. It was very, very good.. The ambience was very nice very clean and bright and cheerful. I would recommend fused to everybody because they have a little bit of everything it was nice to spend an hour in a cherry place on a rainy dreary day. read more

We ordered the crab cakes, Korean wings, chopped salad and peach cobbler. The crab cakes were healthy portion--could make a meal and they were delicious. The wings, in my opinion weren't crunchy enough to warrant the title, but the sauce was good. The salad was great! The Peach cobbler was excellent, more like French toast, but good and hot. My only contention was the prices--I feel they are overpriced. Especially for Plainfield, all the above were appetizers and without drinks and with tip the total was $98 (20% tip). I hope they do well, I know they have other sister restaurants, the ambience is nice, but the venue is large, just hope it isn't too large. read more

Had a reservation for two and we were seated at a six top which was awkward. Drinks were fun and great. Food was OK. Had the Korean beef which had good flavor but was drenched in sauce. We visited the 1st Friday of opening weekend with grace & understanding. We were promptly seated & our server quickly introduced himself as Doug, poured water and allowed us time to look over the menu. We decided on the Flame Fusion & Miserable in the Midwest. Both were amazing! We ordered the Island Shrimp appetizer & since the Mojo Empanadas were sold out & beef tater tots marked "coming soon", we opted for the Wagyu Bites. For our meal we ordered the Fuse'd Molcajete to share. The Wagyu arrived quickly but was hard to chew. We left 1+ of the 2 skewers uneaten. A bit of time passed with a few stops in from Doug to let us know the Island Shrimp should be out soon. The molcajete came out 1st, followed a few minutes later by the shrimp. Doug apologized again for the appetizer's delay. The molcajete was delicious! I ate beef, shrimp and rice. My partner ate all 3 meats & enjoyed all. The Island Shrimp were exceptional- the shrimp are a nice size with the perfect amount of batter. After we were satisfied with our food (which we had left overs), Doug asked if we needed anything else to which we said the bill was fine. After, we thought a dessert would have been nice, although I see now they didn't have much to offer at this time anyway. In the end, while we never met a manager, one was kind enough to comp the Wagyu from our bill. Overall, the service was great. Doug was friendly, answered all of our questions, made recommendations and was very attentive. So many dishes look interesting - we will be back to try more! I personally look forward to trying the empanadas, beef tater tots, citrus pop and hot to handle. Once the hiccups of this new establishment are worked out, I have a feeling this restaurant's ratings will be nothing less than great! read more

First. The vibe is amazing. The menu is diverse. Fabulous wine selection. Now I realize they just opened and had the manager stopped over I would've given them the review instead of posting online. I ordered soup and pomegranate salad with salmon. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. I never received my soup. The salad came out and looked fabulous. Unfortunately the salmon was undercooked. I sent it back. It came back out and was still a little undercooked so I only ate part of it instead of complaining again. All of the sudden the runner came out with my soup and was surprised I didn't want it. My two other friends food came out and both dishes were cold (the steak bowl was very cold). but they didn't send back. She said the steak bowl was delicious and the chicken bowl was very good as well. My two friends finished eating but I was still eating when the server asked if we wanted dessert. After we said no she proceeded to take payment for our dinner. We asked to have the bill split so my two friends paid. While I was mid fork in my mouth she came over to me to ask me for payment. I asked politely for her to come back when I had finished my dinner. The server never acknowledged me not receiving my soup. We felt very rushed like the server wanted us gone. Overall this place has potential! But the staff is young and inexperienced. I think management should walk around and check in with guests. The only way to get better is to get feedback! I'm disappointed this was a miss there are so many things I want to try on the menu. I'll let them get some experience before coming back. read more
