There were no other similar ones on the floor and my mother was not looking for a small unit due to the home layout we have at home. Maria had told us they didn't have anything else and told my mother that if she just didn't want to spend money and be more "economical" then she could've just told her that from the beginning. She offended my mother and she offended me. Assuming that we were looking for cheaper things because we "couldn't afford them", when all we wanted was to look for a solution. My mother was NEVER asking for money in return. My mother has never, ever returned or asked for a refund in over the ten years she has been with Curacao. Maria kept going on about how we probably did not assemble the unit correctly. She kept assuming that we did not know how to work an A/C system properly. Until her and another employees finally plugged in the unit to test it, and guess what happened? The merchandise did in fact NOT work. All the insults and time wasted just for her to finally realize that it did not work. In the end, my mother and I just wanted to leave, but we didn't want to go home with a broken item, so we ended up purchasing the small A/C unit.
