On the way home from church we stopped at G - Boys today and ordered two smokin Joe g cheesesteaks that's ribeye with and imported sharp provolone cheese sauteed broccoli rabe and a touch of red pepper which was perfect. Came here from Philly 10 years ago and have missed cheese steaks from that time not anymore. G-Boys the best. Maybe they'll put in a Philly Soft pretzel factory next door. We waited on line with high hopes and it was well worth it. The ribeye was well seasoned, tender and overstuffed in a tasty hoagie that stood up well. Unfortunately they ran out of chicken cutlet, so I picked up the eggplant hero that will be dinner tomorrow. These sandwiches are substantial and easily shared by 2 people unless you are truly famished. I will update on the eggplant soon but I'm sure it would have been a better review if eaten fresh. For those interested there are 4 seat tables on one side and bar top seating on the opposite wall The wait was a bit long so hopefully when the new flat top grill is installed, wait time will improve. Wow! This place is amazing. I went to college in Philly and this is the real deal. We got two cheesesteaks to go plus fries. I weighed one cheesesteak and it was almost 1 and a 1/2 pounds! The fries are delicious too. I think they maybe had a light coating of cornstarch. There isn't a lot of seating so plan on getting their when they open or take it to go. read more

Our order consisted of G-Boys Signature Cheesesteak (BEST I ever had!!!); Cheese Steak Hoagie; and French Fries. Place was busy and took 45mins from time of order to serving but, worth the wait. Place was "way too hot" to enjoy eating there although we did and sweated our butts off. Food "totally" deserves a 5 however the restaurant being too hot gets a 4 rating. read more

ate here on Saturday, place is still very busy, we managed to get a table. the cheesesteaks are big and loaded with steak and cheese. my wife used a fork to bring the meat content down so she could eat it. the bread has a very good taste along with the steak and cheese. we also got fries, which did not measure up to the subs. counter staff was very friendly. due to volume of orders it takes 20 plus minutes to get the food but it is worth the wait. read more

I've had many cheesesteaks in Philly as I have family there. My nephew sends me cheesesteaks as birthday & Christmas presents. I went yesterday to GBoys and purchased one of theirs. This cheesesteak was every bit as good as the ones in Philly!!! However, this place is so popular right now and crowded that I hear they've run out of food a couple of times. Well had my first Cheesesteak at G-Boys today & the wait in line was well worth it , the sandwich was loaded to the point I don't need dinner. Felt like being back home in South Philly besides the very good sandwich the thing that impressed me was the patience of the workers dealing with the many customers, I was in that business working for Coca Cola so I know how tough the business can be .
