Decent to very good food at fantastic prices. The place is a madhouse since it's always so packed which is a testament to their popularity. I like their tasty little chive rings, which are better than ever. Light, crispy, non greasy which is always tough to do. A very good savory donut. The latest name is Gagajiao Cafe. Pretty much the same menu and same setup.

Quick bite, cheap eats, authentic Fuzhounese food. Came with a friend and we got all our food for $16 - I was full. Peanut noodles were creamy, the wonton soup was piping hot. I enjoyed the fried taro cake too. Very good! Seating is seat-yourself after you order at the front. It's a no frills place but great spot!

Great classic peanut sauce noodles that are popular here but the regulars seem to love the hot noodle soups and taro cakes. PB noodles were good and standard classic. Things are moderately priced, so it's well-worth to stop by and try a couple things.

Love little fuzhounese shops like this. Fast service but helpful to customers who aren't fuzhounese. Got the standard peanut butter noodles and fuzhounese wonton soup. Added on a traditional oyster cake (seemly no oysters just veggies) and savory donut. The noodles were a little watery, but probably just not properly drained before plating.

As a fellow Fuzhounese, I have been on a hunt for the perfect peanut butter noodles or "ban mian" and "bien rou." This place offers both and they remind me of home. Super worth it for the price as well. I would say I've had better dumplings, but me and my FJ friend both agreed this place offers great peanut butter noodles and bien rou. So, if you are on the hunt for these things as well, would recommend this place over shu zhou fu zhou.

Great food at a great value, there's no way you're going home hungry or broke. Give it a try the next time you're in the neighborhood.

Chi Restaurant offers an extensive, authentic menu that's divided out by type of food - chicken,…read morebeef, pork, vegetable, etc. Everything is also labeled for dietary restrictions. Service is very fast and they kept the water flowing (spicy dishes really are spicy!), and the portions are huge. Though you have to pay extra for white rice ($3 a bowl), the overall value was reasonable for the main dishes. The restaurant is dark and elegant inside, with a large tv over the bar that was showing sports when we were there. It had a nice ambience.

The grilled pork spare ribs was good, but it was too little meat for the price. The scallion pancake was bland. The Peking duck was ok. The pork xiao long bao was bad. The skin broke easily with the included forceps and with chopsticks. It was hard even transferring it to my plate. The mapo tofu was bland. The la zi ji (spicy crispy chicken) was too spicy to eat. I have good spice tolerance, and I always eat la zi ji, but it was just too spicy. This was the only meat dish that was barely touched at the end of the dinner. The best dish was the cumin lamb. It was seasoned well and the lamb was tender. I wish they gave us more lamb though. The meat pieces were small. I've had much better Chinese food in dallas. I would not recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone.
