Don't come here. Approximately 20 minutes after the first plate was served for our party of 7, 3 of us were still waiting for their orders. They didn't inform us that they were out of pesto for one of the orders until the food was being served. The last meal was delivered over 45 minutes after the first one. We were never offered refills for soda or water. This all occurred when the restaurant was not busy.... only 4 parties. Ordered Italian and found out Gabby has been cooking for years at our other famous Italian restaurant uphill in Arnold Sarafinas's. Price is reasonably great and we will be frequent customers. Stopped in for lunch with the wife and we were quite pleased with the service and food. We assumed it was Mexican food but they also serve Italian quisine. We dropped in in saturday around 4pm. It wasnt busy at all. Staff was super friendly! I'll start with the fact they had chicken strips on the kids menu which is great because my 13 year old nephew has the palate of a 6 year old. He LOVED them. Also they had italian food option also! So my 15 year old was able to his HIS favorite food. So we all won today! The home made chips and salsa? Fantastic But the main reason I am taking the take to write this yelp? The FAJITAS! We were there for an RV Golf event and stopped in on Friday, to enjoy Murphy. My husband and I went to Gabbys for brunch, and had great service by our waitress on 9/11. It was so enjoyable and the service was so good, we opted to go back for dinner. Still exceptional service, food and ambience. Very clean, safe and all covid safe practices in place. I come to Murphys quite often to visit my parents and I've been to Gabby's a few times now. The service is always very great, the girls working are very attentive, and nice. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing the other night. I ordered the fajitas which were $19.99!! and they were so salty, It was hard to eat. The chicken and veggies were swimming in oil. They give you rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream on the side. They gave me less than a tablespoon of each. So, I barely even had enough for even one fajita. Also, they only give you two flour tortillas on the side so, I had to pay extra for more. So expensive for what you get. I will stick to El Vaquero up in Arnold. It is very awkward when the server comes for you to pay your bill, they have a handheld credit card machine, and when you go to sign it and add the tip, there is no 15% tip option, only 18% or more. No matter how good the service, some people do not like to tip more than 15%. They should change this and give a 15% option. read more

In town to pick up my wine club, and do a little shopping on Main Street. I've not tried this place before, but I am *so* glad I decided on Gabby's. The menu board listed Chile Relleno and I thought, 'mmm, sounds good'. The young lady took my order (for take away) and I asked if this was her place, and she said, well, it's my Mom's. Such a nice, family business. Food was made to order, yet only took a few minutes, and to my happy surprise, when I opened it up there were 4 gorgeous shrimp on top of the relleno. It came with rice and choice of refried or whole pinto beans, and a small garnish salad of shred lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. The sides are typical, right, but the quality and flavor were above those average taqueria. The unexpected "wow" were the chips! Crispy yet firm, I think they were flour not corn? The releno was perfect, cheesy and flavorful, and overall, the meal was very good. read more

Gabby's offers a nice atmosphere for dining in, however most of my food orders have been to-go and never has one order been wrong. I usually get the super wet carnitas burrito and while waiting I indulge in the chips and salsa both are very good and if I time it just right I can enjoy one of the many imported Mexican beers available. Many folks enjoy the chicken burrito and it's good but the carnitas are my favorite. They serve italian food on the weekends and I'm going to try it and see how that goes. My husband and I eat at Gabby's on our trip up to see the Big Trees. It was a great experience; the waitress was friendly and efficient, the food delicious and the patio area was very pleasant. We had the bruschetta which was excellent. Then my husband had the Burrito Supreme which he thought was delicious. The salsa, chips and red sauce are homemade and great. I had the Chili Relleno which was also delicious. We will definitely go back next time we're up in that area! read more

Food is not good. Who puts mozzarella cheese on Mexican food? On every dish on the menu?!? The retried beans were especially horrible. Tasted like they took a can of cheap beans and watered them down. The service was good. The only thing that tasted good was the chips and salsa. Don't waste your money here. read more

Ok, we are pretty picky and test a first time try at a Mexican restaurant by the quality of their Chile Relleno. Wow...so crisp and fresh! We ordered it with green sauce. I wanted to love this place, I really did! We got the kids chicken strips and fries, the two taco steak plate, a molcajete, and a classic margarita. The molcajete was very expensive ($35 for 2) and really lacked flavor. I found myself eating the onions (and I don't even like onions) to try and get some flavor for the dish. The kids chicken strips were a great portion size but again a little dull. The two taco plate was the best thing that we had but still had very little meat, rice, and beans for the price ($12). The margarita was strong but lacked the acidity that you find in all margaritas. Service was slow, but I do want to give them credit as they did their best and were sweet. When checking out I was asked to use their tablet in order to leave a tip and add my signature as we were paying with card. I was sad to see that in the midsts of Covid the device was very dirty and had crusty particles where you are asked to tap. Sadly, I don't think we'll be back. read more

Don't be fooled by the unassuming name and location... make sure to give Gabby's Cuisine a try if you are a fan of fantastic Mexican food - or even if you're not, Gabby may well be the chef to turn you into an enthusiast! I can't resist ordering a dish with shrimp (which is cooked to perfection every time), but the Camarones con Crema is my hands down favorite. Rice = fluffy, beans = creamy and delicious, guacamole = heavenly. The house made chips and salsa are great, but if you're alright with a little spice, do yourself a favor and request the green salsa as well. You can thank me later.
