    New 2019 Kia Optima
    Dana P.

Sine I bought my first new Kia in '15 from JTs Kia, I knew I would never buy a car from them again and went straight to Galeana. Jts gave me nothing but problems. After 3 years I FINALLY brought my old '15 car to Galeana Kia and they impressed me big time. It was nice to have someone FINALLY listen to me, and not only believe me instead of thinking I'm crazy, but work to FIX the issue my car was having instead of blowing it off. I was very impressed. So when I got in a wreck in 2019 and needed a new car, I knew I only wanted another Kia Optima. I loved my first one. And I went straight to Galeana. My salesman was great- he knew everything about the car and was extremely patient when I asked tons of questions about the car and about the price and about the warranties, etc. Even when I told him I was going to go look around at Carmax he was super polite and never once got pushy or rude about it. I was at Carmax maybe 10 minutes before I went right back to Galeana and bought a brand new '19 Kia Optima. Can only say great things about this place!

Technically, my recommendation is largely directed towards one employee named LeVarus Reaves. I will be the first to admit that I typically drive from Columbia SC to Kia of Augusta GA because in previous years, my experience with Galeana KIA was below average, well below average. A few months ago, I had an emergency situation and couldn't risk driving to GA so with hesitation, I visited Galeana KIA on Greystone Blvd. With low expectations and high anxiety, I walked in and happened upon LeVarus and just like that, he managed to ease my anxieties. Due to previous dealings with this dealership, I truly had very little faith that my issue would be resolved or that I wouldn't be grossly overcharged. LeVarus carefully explained the issue, reviewed the diagnostics with me, answered my many questions, and most importantly, he exhibited a level of compassion lacking in so many others. Fast forward, my KIA was experiencing serious issues while I was traveled for work, it was getting dark, wooded area with no road lighting, and my car was in distress. I immediately called KIA and thankfully, LeVarus was on the other end of phone. He literally spent 10 minutes talking me off a ledge, calmed my anxiety, and stayed on phone with me until I was in a safer location. He kindly offered to remain on the line until I made it home but here's the good part, the dealership was closing and I couldn't make it there in time but he was willing to stay late to stay on the phone with me to ensure my safety. Let's be honest, there aren't too many people willing to sacrifice their Saturday night, even a short 30-45 minutes to stay on the phone with a distressed driver but he didn't hesitate to make the offer. I've taken my fair share of business classes and one thing is very clear to me, a company's greatest assets are its employees. Sadly, the phenomenal, hard working, and compassionate individuals are often overlooked but I refuse to let LeVarus' good deed go unnoticed! I'm indebted to him for calming the fears of terribly frightened woman traveling along dark roadways at night. I vividly recall his words, "You will make it home safely!" and he just kept repeating the phrase until I joined him which ultimately helped to both distract and calm me. In the end, my engine seized but I was close to home. In LeVarus, Galeana truly has an invaluable asset, please uplift him for going above and beyond. Thank you.

After calling to go over price and speaking to the manager Holly, she went over all the pricing and the discounts the vehicle had and after was satisfied with the price of the car went through with a credit check. After the credit check, the price went up $1995. For a "MVP NAS Theft Protection" which I already pay insurance for. I asked them to take off this MVP protection package the was unneeded, and unwanted. I was told that every new car has to have it through them which was not expressed when going over price of the car before the credit check. Holly is now telling me that it's a required "dealer fee" another lie. This is not a dealer fee it's an optional insurance package for theft and glass protection which again is already covered by insurance. The dealer is very untrustworthy. Don't take them for their word even if they are a "manager". If you do decide to use them get everything in writing before they run your credit and good luck as you were warned.

On December 30, 2025, I brought my vehicle to Classic Lincoln for two open recall repairs and an additional maintenance issue. Under my new vehicle's bumper-to-bumper warranty, I am entitled to a loaner vehicle while my car is being serviced. At the time of drop-off, my service advisor informed me that the repairs would take no more than one week. I was also advised that no loaner vehicles were available, but that I could obtain a rental vehicle and would be reimbursed for the cost. Relying on this assurance, I secured a rental vehicle. However, the dealership retained my car for 24 days--significantly longer than the timeframe initially communicated. During this period, I received little to no proactive communication regarding the status of my vehicle. I had to make multiple phone calls and in-person visits simply to obtain updates. The service manager at the time, Kara, personally assured me that I would be reimbursed for the rental expenses and instructed me not to worry. I provided my rental receipt directly to her on January 23, 2026. As of today, March 4, 2026, I have not received reimbursement for the nearly $800 expense. I have since contacted Lincoln Headquarters and have worked with Taliah and Wes, but unfortunately have not received consistent follow-through or clear communication regarding the status of my reimbursement. Today, I connected with a new Customer Relations Manager, Rachel, who reached out to the dealership on my behalf. I was extremely concerned to learn that the new Service Manager, Danny, stated he was unaware of the rental arrangement altogether. It is both frustrating and unacceptable that more than two months later, I am still awaiting reimbursement for an expense that was clearly authorized and incurred due to the dealership's lack of available loaner vehicles and extended repair timeline. Given today's financial climate, an $800 delay is not insignificant. I am respectfully requesting immediate resolution of this matter, including confirmation of when I will receive full reimbursement. I would also appreciate a written explanation of the delay and the steps being taken to prevent similar issues in the future. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

The following evening after purchasing this vehicle, starting to drive 1.5 hours home on the highway my brakes were grinding. Thinking this was dust I purchased a can of dust spray specifically for brakes from Walmart. Started to drive again and the grinding was even worse. Jim then went and looked at the brake. And there saw a BOLT MISSING from the CALIPER. I called at 11:15 in the evening on a Friday night to Jermaine Rawlinson on his cell phone and his voicemail was not even set up to receive messages. I was in an emergency situation that had to be addressed. I sent him multiple texts and an email. I was too afraid to drive the vehicle.the next day back to Enterprise which is 40 minutes from my house, so Jim did. Jermaine Rawlinson apologized to him, but still never picked up the phone, never sent a text, or never responded to an email apologizing to the one who purchased the vehicle. I felt like he made his commission and didn't care about me as a human being. (Enterprise uses NTB for their brake and tire service work.) Luckily, the head manager, Kyle Thomas made it right! Made an appointment in front of me to get the entire car checked out with all the paperwork handed to me. Also giving me a rental until the following day. He said he would get me my legal copy of the brake paperwork this week. I will in the future always check the work cell number before doing business of this nature with someone! That was very telling about a person....Even after the fact.

You'd think a service advisor would take some time to clearly explain the need for a $360 service item. Examining the maintenance schedule their is...nothing...anywhere remotely related to the "fuel cleaner" for which the charge was made. Of course, with a video one can hardly hear, and a service manager "talking fast" in "urban slang" tones and accents I can't say ...fairly...what the video actually shows. All I can say is it makes no sense that I would have let the request to pre-authorize a $360 upcharge at an oil change/scheduled maintenance go unnoticed. I remember very clearly during each of our conversations...struggling...to understand the service advisor. I really wonder now if all of that "fast talk" wasn't cultivated to further failed understanding. The service manager had the nerve to tell me, "Don't threaten me" when I "threatened" to buy a Rubicon at a different dealership.
