Loved the breakfast, it was pricey, BUT it was well worth it for the View of the water and the Golf Course. Staff was friendly and outgoing. All other 5 Star Reviews are right on! We had the ultimate burger, which was amazing because of all the toppings, but in the end the burger was slightly overcooked (well done), which made it more cumbersome to enjoy and finish. We also got the spicy BBQ whiskey sliders, which were delicious even though they weren't spicy enough. By far, the onion rings are the way to go for sides. The onion rings are flavorful, light, and tasty. The salad is nothing special, though. Good view, but bring sunscreen if you're going to eat on the balcony. read more

I'm not the type to write reviews for a restaurant but this time I had to. After reading another comment about experiencing ageism or racism I wanted to share my experience as well. I got to the place with my friend to have breakfast we got seated and for about 20 min no one showed up to even offer a glass of water. After those 20 min a couple shows up and even the server came behind them to give them a menu all polite to them but ignoring me and my friend. Another lady passes by giving them water and sees us with nothing in hand and gives us a menu after and offers water. After that another 15 min passed and the couple who ARRIVED 30 min after us got their order placed. This is the awkward moment in which we thought there was racism or ageism happening in the place. The couple got their food and after that they came to us to barely place our order. I hate to say it but you could easily tell that there was a different treatment in between us and other people there. read more

The food was good and the views even better, but we had to wait 30 minutes before someone came to take our order. We waited 45 minutes for the food. The waiter said they were short staffed, but someone came twice to refill our waters and bring a beer, yet she could not take our order. Very strange... 3 sandwiches, a salad, and two beers cost $115. Like I said it was tasty, but not worth the wait when there is more Sightseeing to do. read more

A little steep for what you get, however, the portions were large and the service was very good. Excellent place for breakfast before a round at Pebble as it literally looks over the first tee. Their potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. Solid choice. read more

Stopped at Pebble Beach for lunch on my way down to Carmel. We'd planned to eat at the Lodge or Stillwater, but after looking at the menus and not being impressed, we decided to try the Gallery Cafe which had a much broader set of choices. We asked to be seated outside, and we enjoyed a wonderful view, though obviously a little cooler. My wife had the Kobe sliders and I tried the cheese steak sandwich. Both entrees were excellent, and I was glad I splurged on the onion rings for the side. They were light, crispy, and thoroughly yummy, as was the sandwich. We'd definitely eat here again, and also know that when you pay to enter 17-mile drive, a purchase of $25 or more at any restaurant will get your entrance fee refunded. read more

REALLY REALLY DISAPPOINTING View was FANTASTIC, Food was fine, but the service was HORRIBLE. None of servers working there came to us and ask if we were doing fine. I had a empty glass of water for a whole time. It was tolerable so far. After I put around 10% tip because all they did was bring us food, I kept receipt(I usually don't but I had a feeling that they will put extra tip on our check). and they did put extra tip of $10. So I called the manager of the store, and she said she'll give me a call back after she figures out what happened. It's been more than a month and I still hear nothing from them. They take advantage of tourists with beautiful golf course. I will never go back there. read more

if you park your car and start to walk towards the golf course, shops, etc, this is most likely the first cafe you see. there aren't a lot of options in the area. foodwise -- it's okay. quite pricey for what you get. lentil soup was not bad but a bit salty for my taste...a cup is plenty (you can order a bowl also). i didn't try it but mom and dad enjoyed the fish tacos. sandwiches come with a choice of side(fries, mixed greens, coleslaw, etc). club sandwich, reuben sandwich, chicken burger were all ordinary. eat here only if you happen to be in the area with few choices along the 17 mile drive. pricey diner food. maybe breakfast is better? read more

Three of us had breakfast here on Sunday and it was really good. I had the Par 5 which consisted of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The texture and flavors were perfect. The place is a little pricey, but considering where it's at, it's reasonable. I recommend this place! read more

My wife and I had breakfast at the Gallery on 3/17/19 before golf at Pebble Beach National. The service was unsatisfactory. We waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to the hostess station to seat us. We were seated outside at a nice table, but waited another 10 minutes or so before our server came by. The server had a less than friendly attitude and never came by after we received our meals to check on things. You can expect such service at a Denny's, but the Gallery is part of the Lodge at Pebble Beach, where we stayed. The manager did happen to come by, and in passing asked about our experience. Normally one not to complain, I took the opportunity to tell him how disappointed we were with the service. He apologized and gave us his card. Not a great place to enjoy a quick meal before golf. read more

My favorite breakfast and lunch place whenever we go visit pebble beach.. Food and service is great. Price wise, who expects cheap prices in Pebble?!?! So don't complain about the prices. read more

I like the environment but not particularly the food. We brought our dog since they have a patio and it's pretty nice - nicer than the inside of the restaurant. There are 2 other restaurants in the lodge but they are not dog friendly. read more

Unimpressed despite surroundings. Had tri tip sandwich. Very little meat (probably 2-3 oz), far too much commercial bbq sauce in soft roll that was overpowered and not balanced in flavor, whilst at the same time having slow and inattentive service. For the prices charged expect far more. Other members of my group had similar issues or cold potatoes. Go to Carmel where you have a plethora of great restaurants instead. read more

Our experience here was just lovely. We stopped after having driven the 17 mile drive. If you spend over $30 and give the waiter your receipt, they will reimburse you the $9.75 you paid at the gate. We were seated right by the window so we had a fantastic view. I ordered the quarter rotisserie chicken with rosemary garlic fries and coleslaw and my husband ordered the fish tacos. I had Eggs Benedict this morning and it was amazing! Cooked perfectly! We sat with Isabel at the bar and she was so nice and helpful. Great service! I'll give them one thing: the waiters were nice and tried to rectify the problems, albeit with little success. That's about it. They also got to us pretty late. We were sitting for a full 15 minutes before somone responded to us and took our order. Dont really seem to know what theyre doing. The latte and mocha cappuccinos tasted like drip coffee-flavored water. It was utter swill. The hot chocolate just tasted like someone had quickly ripped open a packet of Hershey's and mixed it quickly. Nothing special. We tried to give their food a chance, so we ordered the loaded baked potato skins. Tasted pretty flavorless and very bland indeed. They had only a single vegetarian option: grilled cheese. We stopped here to get some coffee as name cafe suggests...but this is basically a restaurant..we ordered the strawberry tea, flatbread with hummus and fries..the strawberry tea was horrible with stale pieces of strawberry on top not what you from a place like this..the flabread with hummus was highly disappointing for the price you pay..its just a simple thin bread almost like a cracker with hummus and some cut veggies on top..really highly disappointing...its like a very light appetizer one could eat..the fries were good..that was only thing we liked...I would give them 2 stars for food..2 for customer service and 3 for the views..I wouldnt go here again..its too expensive for what they offer... read more

We were coming here after our 17-Mile drive through Pebble Beach looking at the spectacular views of the ocean. Apparently if you hold on to your receipt from the drive (ours flew out with the wind), then you can get a discount, but ONLY with a receipt. Really? You paid to enter here, give a dog a bone people! Anyway we came for drinks and appetizers. We ordered the chicken spring rolls and the Jalapeno Popper dip. I got a stormy something or other drink, I can't recall the name. Dark brew with a nice smooth finish. Delicious. The dip was tasty as well. I didn't try the chicken spring rolls, but my friends enjoyed it. Their only complaint was the soy dipping sauce wasn't thicker as it didn't cling to the rolls like it could. The sweet and sour sauce was thicker in consistency and clung to the rolls better which made it taste better. We enjoyed the view of the golf course, actually 2 people in the party actually golf. We were making many jokes, being loud and fun on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe the place is a bit pretentious as they were quick to give us our checks once we were finished. Literally, the waiter had it once it appeared we were done and he could hand it to us if we were ready. He was polite about it, but we ALMOST made a scene just for giggles. Still, the experience was pleasant and the food was good. A fun time, but yes it is a bit extravagant to be there, but what can you expect at Pebble Beach? read more

We had hoped to have a quick lunch while running business errands in the middle of a work week. I ordered the fish tacos - the itty bitty piece of tilapia had no flavor and got lost under the small amount of cabbage and cheese layered on top. The guacamole was store bought at best - the salsa okay. They were the size of street tacos, but not at a street taco price - $16! My husband had a Cobb salad - almost no bacon and nothing to write home about - also a whopping $16 for iceberg lettuce! Ice tea was $4.95 - really?! To top it all off, it took forever to get the bill and get rung up - after a while they said that their machine was acting up and could I pay cash?? They eventually wrote up an old fashioned credit card form for me to sign, but that took another 20 minutes. The view is pretty, but that is about it. Next time we sneak out for a quick lunch during a work week, it won't be here! read more

Easy five stars for Gallery Café and our amazing server Raquel. In Carmel on my honeymoon, doing the 17 mile drive and along the way my new wife and I come upon Gallery Café, so we stop for lunch. I admit that initially I was disappointed because, after ignoring me, while my wife was using the restroom when we first sat down, a busser came over to take our drink order and was so abrasive and cold. I was on my honeymoon and it just rubbed me the wrong way... Raquel to the rescue. When our server Raquel greeted us, immediately her great energy and friendliness won us over. I joked about the grumpy guy the first came over to us, and she said that that was just his personality. I later overheard him greet another table much the same way that he greeted us, and I realized that Raquel was right, he's just a little curmudgeonly. No harm - no foul. I want to reiterate that Raquel was outstanding. She described the special, a Chicken Philly Cheesesteak made with their house-made rotisserie chicken and I got that. My wife got the Crab Mac and Cheese. Both were awesome, and the quality of the food was apparent in everything on the plate; from the green, red and yellow bell peppers in my cheesesteak to the Romaine in my wife's Caesar. There were Kalamata olives in my mixed greens salad and juicy tomatoes also, along with their house lemon-herb vinaigrette, so freakin' good. My wife's Mac and Cheese was so good too; it had this great baked flavor to go along with the fresh crab, but it was also pleasantly light overall. we both loved it. Aside from the great food, the place is like a Shangri-La, perched above the Pebble Beach putting Green, it has a great view of the ocean and the nearby mansions. You can sit outside or inside, the place is really pretty and yet casual I would love to go there again the next time I do the 17 mile drive, but I would suggest going on a week day, I can imagine a view like that would make that place a madhouse on a Saturday or Sunday morning. read more

it was surprising to have such poor, slow service at such an expensive restaurant. the staff meant well but failed to bring out silverware till asked, mixed up the omelets so we started to eat the wrong ones. the cinammon bun was excellent and decadent. nice spot overlooking the putting green. read more
