Do not get the Warranty for anything. It is $15.99 for the year but if a headset breaks you have to pay another $15.99 when you get it replaced. The warranty should be for the Year and no matter how many times you get it replaced not each time. They hardly ever have what you bought in stock so you have to wait 3-4 days for them to order it. I asked to upgrade to a more expensive headset so I didn't have to wait and was told No. Zero customer service with these guys. Best Buy here I come. Lost my business. read more

Giving one star as I can't give zero. I came in this location to get a new PS5 controller on 9/12/24 and my son didn't open it until yesterday (he was with his mom). So we noticed it was damaged in the package. Right around the ring for the R3. When I took it back today for an exchange, 9/28/24, I was told it's past their 15 day return policy. I had no idea they only offer a 15 day return on new items. I was one day late. If I would have known, I would have returned it last night on the 27th (the 15th day) Everywhere else offers at least 30 days. I only wanted to exchange it. Not a refund. I'll never shop at Game Stop again. I will now go out of my way to tell people Walmart is better and offer better prices too. read more

Although we have another GameStop close to our home, we use one at 7950 W Tropical Pkwy Ste 130 because of a few key reasons. First, the staff are friendly and offer their assistance. Second, the store has larger floor space which means they have more selections. Third, their displays are placed where you can easily find what you are looking to buy. I honestly don't know why this location has so low we rating but I know we all have different opinions . We had visited other locations but this one is the one we come back to . The employees are always super nice and helpful , we have nothing bad to say on this business . They have memberships for discounts and they also do trade for games . Just call and ask or go in person . They have an online website to make it easier to purchase games and stuff you might need for your consoles . I stopped by Gamestop for my son's 12th birthday gift - a steam card. This location was the first one that came to my mind to stop into. Gamestop is located at the 95/Ann or 95/Buffalo - Centennial Plaza. It's right next to the Maxim Comics and Payless Shoesource. There is spacious parking. Gamestop has certainly evolved through-out the years. As I walked into the store, I was greeted to a good amount of clearance and sale items of Funko Pops, Nerf Guns, Fortnite toys, and a variety of on sale board-games. To the right was there used and new PS4 games. As you walked further down, it turned into the XBOX One, and their older console generations. In the far right hand corner of Gamestop had their Nintendo Switch/3DS selections. In the middle of the store is a variety of off items such as stuffed animals, board games, video game cards, [etc].. They even have a cool glass casing of video game themed decorations. I almost picked up the Knight Solaire (from Dark Souls) and Tails (from Sonic the hedgehog series). It was pretty high priced though. Knight Solaire was $90 and Tails was almost $60.00 for the figurine. This location was stocked and organized, for the most part. I thought their clearance section needed a little more care. Price is a little bit more expensive here for games as well. Otherwise, if you're good with spending a few extra dollars on games, Gamestop is a good place to stop into. Customer service was okay, but nothing stellar. Update 08/26/2020. Ordered the Last of Us Part II and expected a great experience like before. Opposite. Despite the email receipt and phone line for the store both touted pickup at the door like before, the employee inside the store refused to come outside and explained via phone "they aren't doing that anymore." No hand sanitizer at checkout, either, and hake was handed over as-is with no bag or anything. Call to customer service lead to nothing; no apology. Hope the employee I had the positive experience with a few months ago has moved to a different store. If you value your safety and customer service, go to another location. read more

This is my first time buying a game here for my son and I won't be returning. I purchased a game for my son and within a few minutes of him playing the game he said it was boring and didn't like it. The very next day I went back to try to return it and they said no. If the game was used you can return it but new games you can't. I will just continue to buy his games from Walmart or Target since they have a better return policy. They should tell you when you buy the game it's a final sell!!!! read more

I placed an order online for the delivery at door program they were advertising. The product was in stock and available for pick up however it has been almost 5 hours and I haven't received an email stating the item is ready for me to pick up. You advertise that the items will be ready in 2 hours if it was ordered during business hours and it was but a day later, it's still showing "Processing". I've tried calling the store numerous times but no one picks up. I've called 15 times. What gives? Pick up your phone! My order is still not ready for pick up. When your main priority is to try and reprimand your staff for not throwing your up sell pitch for a membership, your main focus as a good manager is lost when you don't train yourself in natural or good customer service. I'd be open to your membership and thought about it once or twice when they talked casually about it. But when you enter the store and the 1st person you see is the taskmaster giving the evil eye and listening if his staff is going to say the pitch word for word, you kind of lose the initiative coming in to deal business with them. Probably would explain the hiring sign and turn over rate I've noticed recently. Anyways....some of the staff are awesome and gets the 2 stars. read more

As a whole, I find just about all Gamestop stores are average-ish. I mean, some have better service than others, and some have a more modern look. Honestly? Coolest Gamestop I have seen so far has been the one in the Universal City Walk in CA. That place rocked with props! I really don't normally come to Gamestop for anything but to peruse the box art for games that I want to buy in the future for a cheaper price. Yes yes, I am also a member of the Cheap @$$ Gamer website so I rarely ever buy a game on release for full price. My backlog of games is ridiculous, I buy them then they just sit on the shelf unopened for months. At the very least I have the comfort of knowing just about all my games were bought between 50-75% off retail. I also buy majority of my games from another store like Best Buy or online at Amazon (no tax baby!). It's just simpler for me. The only time I make an effort to go to Gamestop is when I see a collector's edition of a game go on clearance. It's rare when that happens and when it does I'll give my local Gamestop a go. Other than that I just don't see much appeal of going here. Trade games? Please! Gamestop makes a killing off buying most of your old games for pennies on the dollar. Then they go and mark it back up like 300%! It's like highway robbery! I don't think I've traded games into Gamestop since I got rid of my old Nintendo 64 stuff to make way for a Sega Dreamcast (that's old skool for you younguns'). Even back then I remember feeling ripped off. But I rarely trade games in and I'm not sure why (I probably love seeing my IKEA bookshelf full of games instead of books). The last trade in I made was to Amazon, and I actually thought I got a fair deal on the trade. Took a little longer to fill out a form and get a shipping box, but it was worth the value I was getting for my games. Gamestop just doesn't appeal to me much now-a-days. In fact, the last time I went in store I was actually looking for the latest release of the Walking Dead toys. And as such, no luck. But of course I was mildly harassed to join their PowerUp Rewards club to receive 'special offers' and 'discounts' not given anywhere else...BLAH BLAH BLAH. It's probably worth it if you're a hardcore gamer that only shops at Gamestop, but for me it is just a hassle. The best thing about this Gamestop is that it's located right next door to my local comic book store, Maximum Comics. My hubby is usually the one that comes here with the kids and that's usually just to make sure that they aren't getting ripped off when they go to spend their birthday or Christmas money. Or he is pre-ordering the next great game. I was only here to pick up a gift card for a birthday gift. What should have been an in and out task seemed to take forever! I went in and immediately got in line. There were two guys (which I hate to judge, but they were the total cliché gamer type. They both were in dyer need of hair cuts and they had that trying to grow facial hair stubble, that's just icky instead of sexy! One of them was all sweaty and just kept wiping his face with his hand..... EWE!!!!) at the counter and they were moving at a less than energetic pace. How hard is it to check people out? There were only two people in front of me but I waited in line for 10 minuets! So I will just have to leave this store for my hubby and the kids. They always seem to be understaffed there employees seem very inpatient like they are bothered they had to come to work today. I had an order for same day delivery from that store, they use doordash as their delivery service. The doordash driver took the order it says on the text confirmation,then canceled after 10 minutes. I called the store 9 times well before they closed and got no Answer, as well as no update on where my stuff is or even if they tried to maybe contact another driver to get my order sent to me. I spent 440 on those 2 items over the years I have purchased a ps4, a wiiU, 2 xbox's, 2 switch lites and a switch and countless games I go because my kids like the place and now that they are older and even they are over this place. Save your time and couple bucks and walk across the street to walmart or order on Amazon you will get it faster and maybe cheaper. read more

I have had it with this place. First time they didn't have a pre-order I had made when it came out, and didn't have one for me for a few days. Ok, whatever, things happen. Meh. It just seems Gamestops in general have gotten worse and only worth it if you're trading in probably. We were the only adults in there and it was a busy Sunday with a bunch of parents and kids there...most older parents like that don't play games and don't really know about pricing and just want to do right by their kid. I remember a time where you'll see a bunch of gamers in here but the fact I don't anymore says a lot. More steals your money than deals. A pre-owned game is priced like $5 less than brand new so there isn't much of a savings. A used/refurbished PS3 stack on the floor had two prices on it $299 and $249 (assuming for a lesser GB or older body one)....seriously- for $299 you can get it new, with a game bundle at Costco or Sams Club. I rather just buy new in that case. We've gone back a few times but now always leave empty handed. That tells me that it's not what it used to be if before we would at least find a few games with a good price. I think this was our last visit. read more

I recently acquired a Playstation 3 and wanted some new games. As soon as we walked in, one of the guys who was working, Sean, came over right away to see if we needed any help. He assisted my boyfriend with all of his random questions about different games and the different systems. He was so helpful. He even recommended some games for us to try, although I didn't like the one he suggested, Family Guy. Game Stop has a 7 day return policy if you don't like the game, so I will be going there tomorrow to return that one. They have a big selection of new and used games for Playstation, Xbox, and Wii consoles. They test all the used games to make sure they work before they put them on the floor for sale. I usually come here to trade in my no longer needed games. If you are a rewards member you can usually get an extra few bucks for used games and get used games a bit cheaper. If you do a lot of transactions this way the membership pays for itself and it comes with a video game magazine subscription. You can sell recently released games on eBay and usually make a few more dollars. Selling older games usually will land you the same price as a trade in, when you factor in shipping and the fee eBay charges to sell their stuff. As a rewards member they will have a lot of promos and sales exclusively for you. If you're patient you rack in on some great deals. The employees have always been nice to me and they know their games. The store itself is packed with as many games and accessories as they can allow. As most of my friends and nephews are hardcore gamers a gift card from here has always helped around birthdays and holidays. read more

Well, the reason why this place doesn't have 5 stars with us is because the manager that was there at the time we went, had no clue what she was doing. She was asking an associate all of the information that kind of seemed like common sense that a manager should know. Not only that, but there was no way to know where the lines formed! There were people everywhere, even the cashiers were confused on who was there first. But, if this place fixed those issues, then I'd give them 5 stars. We love going here. Every single time we go, we always find a decent amount of games that they offer, and walk out not spending less than $40 a visit. The only game con is that they don't have any regular Wii games. They have every other console it seems like, except for the original Wii games. Like I said though, they have a great selection, they're clean, and in a good area, they just need to fix some of the unprofessional customer service. read more

I was in this store yesterday and if I were the DM, people would be fired. There was a ladder sitting in the middle of the store, no organization, and 2 lines of people who were just standing there with no one taking care of them. I am an avid Funko Pop collector and was appalled at the way they treat the boxed. They are literally being man handled and thrown around. Do NOT go here for Funko Pop's. So naturally I decided to stop in and check out the location. I was looking for a specific product this fine day and when I asked the guy at the counter if they had it he seemed very disgruntled that I wanted to know if they had this used product in stock. I know they were a little busy at the time, but a vague knowledge of their inventory could have saved a little hassle here. So I have been calling all day and no one ever answers the phone called about 16 times throughout the day and finally got a hold of somebody asked them if they are still doing the South Park game release at 9 pm they said yes and I asked twice if I would be ok as long as I get there before 9:30pm they said yes twice. This Gamestop is a joke. I bought a new game from this place, but they only had an open-case game, so they put a sticker on it to tell if the case was opened or not. I decided that I didn't want the game without even opening it. I made sure the sticker was intact. I go back to return the game, they open it right in front of my face, and they tell me that I can't return it because the sticker was ripped. I tell them this is a joke, and I did not open it and they did. They still me after a couple minutes of arguing that I cannot return it, only trade it in. I got tired of arguing and I just traded it in. I did not want to deal with them. I walked out of the store disappointed. Moral of this story: never shop at this Gamestop, ever. read more

Went in today, because online it showed Xbox with 6 games for $99.00 but when we got there it was much more and no games and we were told they don't honor what's online.
