Very spacious and cozy American brunch diner located in Concord right near Costco. They offer various breakfast dishes served all day as well as a lunch menu. I was craving a croissant breakfast sandwich so I got the egg melt sandwich. This comes with a side of your choice - hashbrowns or fruit. I got a bowl of fruit - which was a pretty good size and the fruit tasted pretty fresh! The sandwich itself was a decent size as well with it leaving me pretty full. I highly suspect they use Costco croissants but I could be wrong lol. I wished the eggs were a little less dry but overall it was a good sandwich. We got our food within a reasonable time and they did refill my coffee cup free of charge. Overall, a nice location to grab a classic average American diner meal.

Been here a couple of times, and this place hits the spot! After a Costco run, my stomach was making noises that could probably get me a record deal. Couldn't risk being hangry, so we stopped in for breakfast. The staff is super friendly and welcoming definitely a family run business, and I'm all for supporting local spots like this : ) Tried the chicken & waffles, and both were on point. The waffle was golden and crispy, and the chicken? Juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. Sausage patty was solid, and the bacon was crispy, just how it should be. Next visit, I went for the chicken fried steak with hash browns, eggs, and rye toast. The steak was crispy, flavorful, and smothered in tasty gravy no complaints there! Wifey had the "mini" breakfast, but trust me, it wasn't mini lol. Plenty of food, including crispy bacon and perfect eggs. Open for breakfast and lunch, with prices that won't break the bank (but won't make you rich either lol). Definitely coming back to try more. If you're in the area and need a solid breakfast, Gangnam Cafe is the move!

Even though it was busy we still got our drinks and food pretty fast. Servers made sure to check in with us.

I've been coming here for years when I have to wait for something in the area in the morning. They're always clean, friendly, and it's just a lighthearted atmosphere. I haven't been in awhile and got a Korean style burrito with bulgogo and rice, but had eggs. For $19ish I could only eat half, but it was really good. They have always been consistent throughout the years, and possibly have gotten friendlier and tastier food. Off Detroit street in a somewhat industrial area near Costco, and has their own parking lot.'m

Looking for a quick bite this morning and stumbled upon this cafe after visiting Costco ( right around the corner ) don't blink or you will miss it . Upon entering your greeted to have an open seat or grab a stool up at the counter . 1st time and I was by myself so I choose the counter . Menu has breakfast as well as lunch items available. My tummy was calling for that chicken fried steak and eggs . Lots of items offered but that's what I was craving this morning . Breakfast served with your choice of house potatoes or hash browns . English muffin instead of toast Chicken steak 8/10 fried perfect Eggs over easy and on point Country fried potatoes crispy was great . Enjoyed the hospitality and that it was family owned . Will be back to continue to support this hidden gem .

My first time here. I read reviews about it. A little hard to get to even if you're in Concord. The streets here are weird. But you can find it, it's a quaint little place. I have been looking for the chicken fried steak the best chicken fried steak in the area and decided to try it here. I was fairly impressed. The gravy is probably the best grade I've had so far out of all the places I've tried and I like gravy and biscuits. The chicken fried steak itself was typical but it was pretty good here the way they prepared it. I definitely go back for it. The staff was nice and attentive made sure I had coffee which I appreciate. The potatoes were a little bit awkward compared to other places of the country potatoes. They were good however I wish I would have had some more onions this place uses green onions which is kind of unique I like green onions The breakfast itself was all right, and the toast was nice. Good value for what you pay for and a comfortable place to relax They have a special price menu for a light eaters

4 out of 5 stars Hidden Gem with Big Flavor Gangnam Café is one of those places you kind of stumble upon -- tucked away in Concord, small, cozy, and totally worth the visit. Inside, it's quaint and welcoming, with a menu that definitely leans eclectic (in the best way). We ordered the beef stew, which was hearty and full of flavor, and this sandwich (pictured in the review) -- wish I could remember the name, because it was ridiculously delicious. One of those meals where if you just read the ingredients, you'd be hesitant... but then you take a bite and suddenly question your entire taste bud history. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were totally fair -- especially for the quality and creativity of the food. If you're in the Concord area and want to try something a little different that actually works, definitely give this place a shot. It's the kind of spot that surprises you in all the right ways.

The restaurant was quiet and pretty empty when we stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. The service was great and efficient, the man who took our order and then served us throughout our meal was very nice. There was another Korean lady who helped us with our leftovers and she was super sweet and nice as well. The food was wonderful! I ordered the Good Friends pancakes, eggs, and sausages combination and for the amount of food I received, I felt like it was definitely worth the price. My husband ordered 2 blueberry pancakes, country potatoes, and some sliced avocado. The blueberry pancakes and country potatoes were delicious and worth the price too. The avocado was an add-on so it was pricier, at $3.95 for half an avocado sliced. It was really fresh though, so we didn't mind and enjoyed it. Would definitely come back again to try some of the other things that they have on their menu! Overall, the atmosphere of the place was very cozy and there were lots of pictures of their food on the walls. I think we can safely say that we found a new favorite brunch place.

Phenomenal! The service is great, the ambience of the restaurant is perfect, but mostly the food is phenomenal! I personally love to get the fried rice scramble. The burritos are always good as well. I always recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a good restaurant around.

Very cute traditional hole-in-the-wall style diner! Food was delicious and affordable. Perfect for a relaxing sunday breakfast and there is plenty of parking. Very berry waffle was so cute and delicious.

Great pit stop before or after Costco! Service is fast. Kids like the Mickey Mouse pancake with fruit. We didn't like how dirty the seats and walls were when we are sitting in the booths - this is because of our OCD with the kids while they're eating! There are clean restrooms outside to wash hands though, which is convenient!

Our orders were taken in a timely manner. The waitress was nice and helpful. We waited about 15 to 20 mins for our food. We were told that there were issues with the kitchen staff, new staff being trained, etc. Honestly, she stated it was a bad day for them, so we should have been told that prior to ordering so we could have decided to go somewhere else. When the food came, my bacon was burnt (I asked for crispy, not burnt), and my French fries were cold. How does food that takes so long to find out come out cold and wrong? My wife's biscuit was together in the top and broken up on the bottom AND served on a dirty plate. We sent all the above back. He country potatoes had no seasoning on them, and the omelet looked on cooked on the egg portion. The food and cheese that was supposed to be cooked in the inside because it is an omelet was not put together as an omelet. It was like the egg just served as a blanket. She did not eat the majority of her food. This does not happen often. The biscuit was good the 2nd time. My bacon came back the same way, I ate around the burnt areas. The bacon was salty. The manager or owner (I'm unsure of who he was. He did not introduce himself) walked around asking how everything was. I was very honest. He took off 20% from the bill. We will not be going back.

If you blink, you might miss it. Service is still 10/10! This time around, I ordered a hot matcha latte, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much (let's be real, some places can mess up matcha). But surprise, surprise -- it actually tasted like real matcha! It was delicious! For my meal, I tried the cowboy scramble, which I swear was everything but the kitchen sink tossed in a pan. It was hearty, satisfying, and totally hit the spot. The only hiccup? The melted butter they used on the toast had a weird aftertaste. I can't quite explain it -- like if butter went to a weird party and came back a little off. But hey, it didn't ruin the whole meal, just a little side note. All in all, I'm into the new look, and I'll definitely be back for that legit matcha latte and hefty scramble!

I originally went out looking for a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and Googled "good breakfast…read morenear me." This spot came up, and although my wife and I have driven past it many times, we've never stopped in. Today, I decided to finally give it a try. After looking through the Google photos, I changed my mind and ordered a breakfast plate instead of a sandwich. Parking was a little challenging. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and had to circle the block a few times before finding a spot directly in front of the diner. When I walked in, I wasn't sure whether I should seat myself or wait to be seated. All of the waitresses appeared busy, so I stood near the entrance. Once she was available, Marianna greeted me. Initially, I wasn't a fan of being asked whether I was picking up food rather than whether I was dining in or taking out, but I quickly realized they may be accustomed to regular customers who already know the process. Since it was my first visit, I explained that I wasn't sure if I should seat myself. Personally, I think a sign near the entrance would be helpful for first-time guests. Since I was dining alone, I chose a seat at the counter and ordered the Sugar Plum Special with cheese grits and sourdough toast. While waiting for my food, I noticed something that concerned me. The staff did not appear to be wearing gloves, and I observed food being handled after touching various surfaces, including condiments, plates, glasses, and trash areas. While I understand that food service relies heavily on proper handwashing practices, I personally felt uncomfortable watching bread being handled directly by hand. I requested that my toast be handled with a utensil instead, and my request was accommodated without issue. When my food arrived, my eggs were cooked exactly as requested--scrambled hard--and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The bacon was a little saltier than I personally prefer, but that's more about my taste than the preparation. Overall, both items were flavorful. Now, let's talk about the grits. I come from a strong Southern background, and we take our grits seriously. The presentation was fantastic. The butter melting on top and the cheese looked absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the texture wasn't there on the first serving. The grits were noticeably gritty and undercooked. After a couple of bites, I sent them back and requested they be cooked a bit longer. One of the waitresses explained that customers typically need to request the grits "well done." That was surprising to me because I've always believed grits should naturally be cooked until smooth and creamy. In my opinion, that's how they're meant to be served. Thankfully, the second batch was much better. While they still could have been stirred a bit more, the texture improved significantly and was much closer to what I expected. I also want to recognize Marianna for her excellent service. She was accommodating, attentive, and handled my concerns professionally throughout the meal. Overall, I would return. The restaurant has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and an old-school diner feel that is becoming harder to find these days. It reminded me of the kind of place you'd visit after church on a Sunday morning or somewhere you'd go with your grandparents for a comforting home-cooked meal. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the welcoming environment and friendly service left a positive impression on me.
