First Korean food in our new home

Wow this food was very good. We were downtown and looking for some Asian food for dinner. We saw this menu and wanted to give it a shot. Everything was delicious. We were easily able to get a table for 2 and the restaurant did not get overcrowded while we were there. There are displays of Korean television and music on the walls. We got the chicken with rice cake In gojuchang (can't remember the name) with added cheese if course. So flavorful. Spice level was perfect. We got the crispy dumplings and fried seaweed rolls. Both were so good and had a great crunch. You are able to contact your server from a button on your table which rings like a doorbell. We also tried their new melon soju and it was so refreshing. Definitely want to come back!

Oh I am so happy this was walking distance! I love downtown Spokane! I haven't been here in over a year or so, it's the second time I spent hours thrifting, and worked up an appetite. As you may know I LOVE Korean, and it's only right [for me] to start with soon dubu aka soft tofu stew- I got BEEF. It was simple and SO DELICIOUS! Usually I love a seafood blend, if they ever add this option it would be uhmazing. The egg was jammy, big chunks of silken tofu, I like how the beef was in small bits and not too many green onions. I ATE THE ENTIRE BOWL. The purple rice is dark and yummy, simple, classic banchan of seaweed salad, radish strips, kimchi and bean sprouts. I will definitely be back! 감사합니다

Cute somek glass! (Just water this time)

Tip: make a reservation Stopped by with a friend and her son for lunch on a weekday. We didn't think to make a reservation but this place is THAT popular so better safe than sorry. It's easy to do online! Simple and tasty Korean food! As someone who grew up with Korean food (half korean) I thought the rice and kimchi were excellent, which of course I'm going to critique ;). We ordered quite a spread and everything was deliciously prepared. Excellent friendly service from what looks to be a family run business. Our servers were so friendly. They had some computer issues at one point during the service which I thought they handled very elegantly. The interior is smaller but nicely laid out and clean. I can see them needing to expand in the future if they remain as popular as the day I dined!

Great portions of food, ate a ton and good variety of sauces/spices to add in, busy place with great workers

Everything was good, but not great. We got the Korean pancake, it was yummy but not fantastic. Little soggy, immediately fell apart. Then we got the snow cheese wings, which was recommended to us. They were okay. Not something I would get again. My husband got the bibimbap with added bulgolgi. He said it was "mid" compared to the others he has had before. Very sesame heavy. I got the spicy pork bulgolgi and it was yummy but I got quite a bit of meat cuts that were unchewable. The banchan was nothing special. Their purple bean rice was yummy. We got the dalgona latte and a boba. Both sweetened with a brown sugar syrup. Very sugary, but yummy. Service was also nothing special. The lady in the glasses approached our table multiple times with something in her mouth, which was kinda off putting that she was chewing something while talking to us. Ambiance was fun, clean, cool decorations. That was the best part. Overall it was good, but I don't think I'll be back. Glad to have another Korean spot in Spokane. I wish them lots of luck on their business!

My husband and I made reservations for 7 PM and arrived right on time. We were greeted by a waitress who asked us to wait in the waiting area while our table was being prepared. Another party of two arrived after us and was also asked to wait. After about 15 minutes, the waitress asked both parties to follow her, and she seated us next to each other. She gave us a quick overview of the ordering process (pressing the button at the table). After browsing the for a while menu, we pressed the button to place our order. The waitress returned to bring water for both parties, then stepped away to greet a new walk-in group without reservations, whom she promptly seated next to us. When I let her know we were ready to order, she reminded us to press the button--which we had already done--so she took our order then. The interaction felt a bit off--almost like we were an afterthought. Perhaps she was feeling overwhelmed or is still getting into the rhythm of things, as I understand the restaurant is new. That said, the rest of the experience went smoothly. A different waiter brought our drinks and seemed more experienced. Our food was delivered by the chef (I believe), who was incredibly kind and engaging. The bulgogi and pork belly were both tasty and well-prepared. I'm giving 4 stars because the food was good and the restaurant is still new. I'm hopeful that with time and training, the service will match the quality of the food.

Food-"I only waited 5 minutes" for my meal! "It was already prepared"! And it showed. The owner suggested the pork bellies as apposed to the plain pork, because he said they have more flavor. The meat had very little flavor!, and the meat was tuff. It was stale. The sauce over powered the flavor of the meat. Lots and lots of sauce!! I'm sorry to be so blunt but, the kimchi was bad. There were 4 or 5 kinds. I've had good Korean food in California. -Not trying to be a snob-, but jeeez. You expect kimchi to be spicy...some flavor, at the very least. You call what I ate Bulgogi! I didn't know they made it with pork. So I tried it; mistake. I could have had a feast a Taco Bell for that price lol. Didn't give one star because the guy was really nice. I had to give this review "to be honest". You guys are a business. Each customer should be just important as the next. I may have gotten a bad meal. Maybe not all are like that. But I'm saying, you can't expect to serve "ready made meals" that have allegedly been sitting for hours in the pot. Then expect your customers to pay full price. When I pay restaurant prices, I expect for a restaurant to cook up the meal, not to be a fast food experience. I paid almost $25 for that meal and it was no more than a fast food entrée. And it was stale.

The food is made with incredibly authentic intention. They serve purple rice, and make all their own banchan. The banchan was so so good - the kimchi alone was the perfect spicy and fermented. Truly well done. I ordered the mackerel and the spicy tofu soup - extra spicy. The fish was IMMACULATE. Perfect sauce with onions and radish to accompany it and served over crunchy cabbage. This fish was a highlight of the entire meal. Spicy tofu soup is highly rated in my book and I am very particular with this soil and this place nailed it. Lastly I have to shout out the service. Such a wonderful service with Brandy and her brother in law Caden serving me up like I was in their living room. It felt so cozy and like home away from home eating here. Can't recommend this place enough. I wish I was staying in town longer so that I could go back again!!

I came here on a weekend and there was quite a long wait, given how popular this place is. It took about 45 minutes to get my food. On first glace, it did not appear to be an authentic Korean food just looking at it from outside, but I would say that my opinion changed when I got my food. Ambiance-wise, it is lively and busy and there is not much to talk about in terms of the decor and what the inside of the restaurant looks like. I will have to say that parking is tricky given that both peripheral roads to this place are one-way, so getting in can be tricky unless you make long loops, so just be aware of that, especially on the weekend when there is not much parking in front of the restaurant. Service is friendly but a little bit slower I ordered a Beef Gimbap and a Beef Bulgogi which came out to around $45 before tipping. This place is definitely ridiculously overpriced in my opinion. Now on to the food, the best part! The Beef Gimbap was decent, but not the best I've had. It was peculiar getting purple rice, but I was not against it. It was just....different. As for the Beef Bulgogi, it was also pretty decent. It was not too sweet, and was seasoned and cooked well. The banchan was not the best I've had, but also was enjoyable. Overall, I would say this place is very similar to many authentic Korean places I have been to, and is a place I recommend visiting. However, I don't think this is among the top Korean places I have visited.

I decided to order the Pork Katsu curry with rice which came out to ~$20ish. The spice level was pretty mild, but the flavour was spot-on. It was cooked well, seasoned well, was not oversalted, and the balance of the dish was impeccable. The rice went great with the dish, as it should. Definitely not Coco's Curry, or anything you would expect to get in Japan, and no add-ons or anything special, so you cannot just add cutlets or potatoes like you normally would be able to at a Japanese Curry place. But this was obviously a ramen place so as long as the dish tastes good, there is nothing to complain about...which is exactly what I experienced. Service was very friendly, and ambiance was just what you would expect. I cannot comment on the ramen or any of the other dishes, but definitely endorse their Pork Katsu curry with rice if you are in the mood for a Japanese-style curry.

My husband and I ordered Spicy King Ramen and shared the kaarage chicken. The kaarage chicken came with a homemade Japanese mayo dipping sauce. The kaarage chicken was better than the ramen. The spicy king ramen was just that, spicy but no depth in flavor. There wasn't many toppings, green onions, ginger and eggs. I wish there was bamboo, bean sprouts, extra garlic, black garlic oil, veggies, etc. i wouldn't order the spicy king ramen again.
