I'm glad Delray Marketplace is stepping up its restaurant options with Ganzo, and hopefully attracting a younger crowd as well. The menu is Asian fusion and HUGE. I had a hard time deciding what to order but ultimately, tried the beef bulgogi bao buns, hotate scallops, Chicken pad Thai, and hurricane roll. Everything was tasty but I prob wouldn't order the hotate scallops app again just because it was small and I thought you got more bang for your buck with the other choices. Also tried the My Maria cocktail and lychee martinis which were well made. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so I would recommend this place for a fun dinner out with friends or family. Will definitely be returning! It was date night with my son Joey and we came here for happy hour before going to the movies. They have a nice sized bar in which you could sit inside or out. They had some tables also outside which was a nice addition. We chose to sit inside. The happy hour menu had many options to choose from. We had chosen the bao buns, k pop shrimp, the ahi tuna pizza and the spicy tuna roll. It was my first time ever trying bao buns and to my surprise I really really enjoyed them. They were quite tasty. The k pop shrimp had just enough spice to them. I actually felt that the pieces of pineapple in the dish or spicier which I liked that sweet and spicy flavor. The ahi tuna pizza was also good. The tuna was very fresh but was not too much of a fan of what they used for the crust. We arrived on a Friday night and I have never seen a restaurant in this plaza as packed as it was that night. I must say, it got us very excited. The restaurant is gorgeous! I wanted to get the omakase but on second thought, I wanted to personally select the sushi pieces I would be getting so I ordered the sushi ala carte. Their Japanese uni was $22 for one piece. Did I have to think about it? Yes. Did I order it? Also yes. It was delicious. Sure I swallowed $22 in one bite but it was worth it. Sushi is an art and Ganzo nailed it. My friends also ordered their jalapeno margarita (my first time hearing about it!), the curry chicken and japanese spring rolls. When the curry chicken hit the table, the aroma was so enticing! Says it is open, but it looks closed from the outside. I tentatively walk in and am greeted by a host. She asks if I am by myself and sits me at the inside bar. I was happy to be under the air condition, but just after I order my happy hour sake, the bartender opens the huge windows on the bar to the outside - its whole back side is now gone so that people can sit from the outside as well. I'm now getting blasted with the humidity from outside. Not ideal. There's two TVs at the bar. One is on sports and one is on a political news show, which is definitely not fun to watch. Luckily There are no other people sitting around me commenting on it or else that would have been awkward conversation. The food itself was amazing. I started with the salted edamame, although I would like to try the wok charred. I also got some shrimp that was breaded and came in a somewhat spicy sauce with pineapple. It was amazing. Pam most likely is the most energetic for me. I have ever come across. Not only is she welcoming, but she is turning to when it comes to serving not only the tables but the clients at the bar.. The most part we order appetizers or small plates it's so far everything has been delightful . This likely has been our fifth occasion here at the bar in season it becomes a challenge to get a seated bar, but most times we are very lucky. This evening we had a variety. We saw this place as we were leaving the movie theater and decided to give it a shot. When you first walk in there is a cute little hostess station and you are greeted immediately. We were sat at a nice booth towards the back with our two kids. Their kids menu is quite large and has lots of options. My kids really enjoyed how many things came with their dinners, and the portions were large. They were excited for leftovers. My husband and I looked at their happy hour menu and both tried a glass of wine as well as many of the appetizers. The K-pop shrimp, was my absolute favorite as well as the edamame. We also tried the JB roll and the spicy kani roll. Initially they brought out the wrong order, but it was quickly fixed once we said something. I always try to get a different sushi roll too. My son loves the kids bento boxes - the creativity is unique depending on the chef. Now I am a server.. so I know how it is working in the industry. The main reason for the low stars is our server failed to inform me it was happy hour, even after I ordered a drink, and waited to show me it until after I received my drink. Before I had even had a sip I asked her it I could switch it out or have it for happy hour price and she looked at me apathetically and said no. I even saw her ask someone but no one came to provide me accommodation for the server's mistake. I totally get forgetting, but if it was me I'd go the extra mile if I had made a mistake. It was like $7-8 difference... When I go out to other restaurants I'd like to be treated the way I treat customers when I work, otherwise it's not worth it. I am young and don't have a lot of money, and one of the few times I go out, someone treats me like that, it's super disappointing. The food wasn't great either. My udon tasted sweet?? Portion sizes were small for the price My drink was very weak. The servers came by with our check and it made us select very high options for tipping after that experience. We tipped well because maybe she had a hard night but I will not ever be going back here, I felt taken advantage of :/ I only like to solicit businesses if I feel they can provide me the same care I provide to people when I am serving. I've come here a few times. The food has always been excellent. The service has been excellent. Except last night. The food was excellent as always. The service was the worst. Here I was trying to impress my daughter who was visiting. Our waitress was also tending bar. Took our order and went back to the bar. That was as far as our order went. We sat and sat and sat. We had to inquire more than once as to where our dinner was. Apology after apology after apology. Finally our food arrived, some of it. My soup never came. The runner asked after my food arrived if I wanted it he'd get it. At that point I just wanted to eat my dinner. My daughter's sushi roll arrived just as my kids finished theirs. Dinner took twice the amount of time that it should have. Then in the end we waited and waited and had to ask for the check. The soup that never came was on it too. My husband said that this was the kind of sushi place he'd drive to -- from wherever he was! That's saying a lot. We had a favorite place in western Broward that was a ways away that we became regulars at -- not just for the food, but the ambiance. They closed after it was sold when the owner retired. It's been a long time since my husband said anything similar about even one of all the sushi restaurants we've tried. This place is located in the popular Delray Marketplace. Parking can be hard to find (it's located near the theater end not far from the packed Oceans restaurant). But we circled around a couple times and lucked out into a nearby space. It's worth the effort. We sat inside -- and the booths are separated by plastic dividers. But there's also a large fan-cooled patio area if you want to dine outside. They honored our free gyoza from checking in on Yelp. You could choose chicken or pork and steamed or fried. I thought it would be one dumpling, but it was one order! We got the fried pork which came in a bowl with scallions atop a dipping sauce. Very good. I decided to take most of them home (my later dinner). Service was pleasant and the food came out -- all at once -- surprisingly very, very fast. In addition, we took advantage of their happy hour prices and "bites" offerings. These are from 12-6 pm so are perfect for lunchtime, too. We had their pork belly bao buns. Two to the order so perfect to share. The grilled pork was not fatty, and came with some crunchy marinated veggies inside the soft bao wrapper. Loved them. After that, I had their kinisu roll (from their regular menu). This is a non rice roll around krab and avocado wrapped with cucumber. It was perfectly made, held its shape (the "tell" of a good sushi chef) and refreshing. My husband had one of their classic rolls ($2 off) -- a hamachi roll. Very fresh fish; nice ratio of hamachi to rice; and a good sized roll. He actually took half home for dinner. He also had sushi of two pieces of salmon and two pieces of tuna selected from their "gansushi a la carte" on the happy hour menu. Sometimes a sushi restaurant that has a happy hour will give you smaller portions or skimp on the quality of items, but here everything was their regular orders just at a reduced price. We were pleasantly surprised. They have a very full menu of many other items. One of the other things that are a very good option are their combination bento boxes. They are reasonably priced and give you a chance to try several different tastes at once. The table behind us were enjoying some of their ramen bowls. They looked quite good, too. Can you tell we will be back? Lots of other things we wish to try here -- not only their happy hour, but their regular menu, too. So very glad we came here to try them. I ended up meeting some girlfriends here for dinner the other night and they were accommodating with sitting us outside on a reservation that a friend of mine had. We were seated and the waiter gave us time to look at the menu to decide on drinks and food. The menu offers a fun variety of cocktails, wine, and beer while having a wide selection of ramen, sushi, and izakaya to choose from. We put in our orders and I redeemed a check-in offer off the app for a free dumpling. The Kiss me in Kissimmee is a creative name for the cocktail I enjoyed there. It had blueberry and pomegranate vodka, lime juice, syrup, rum, and blackberry. The dinner pick was miso ramen, which had grilled chicken, a soft boiled egg, corn, bamboo shots, nori, scallion, broth, and miso paste. I enjoyed the food, but I wasn't thrilled about the service. The drinks came out quickly and then it went slowly from there. We waited almost 45 minutes for our meals to come out. It wasn't busy, so I wasn't sure how come it took that long for our food to come out. Our waiter or any of the staff members didn't come over to even say sorry for the wait or explain why our food wasn't coming out in a reasonable amount of time. When we got our food, the waiter forgot the dumpling. I reminded him again and was surprised that wasn't brought out as an appetizer. Either way, we were happy to get our food since we were hungry. There was a friend of mine that ordered brown rice with her sushi and got white rice instead. It was mentioned to the waiter and it was handled unprofessionally. She ended up not getting the switch and complained to one of the managers about it. The manager was shocked that it happened and just apologized for it without really even offering a substitution. So that's the experience I had there. I can't say I will go back based on what happened. At least come out and say something about why our order is taking longer than expected. I would say Ganzo Sushi is definitely a higher grade than the average Sushi restaurant. The interior is definitely beautiful, the service was good and the menu is easy to navigate which is problematic at many sushi places. The sushi fish is very good quality. I wouldn't put it up against Pubbelly in Miami or Hamachi or Zabb in Broward but I can definitely see how they would hold their own in this area for sure. I'll be back again to try some other menu items because like I said, I was definitely impressed. We also had a Japanese Curry, which the aesthetics of the plating was tremendous, the flavor was good and not too strong, although I prefer robust flavor on Japanese Curry, this was a nice flavor with subtle accents of each ingredient. I've given Ganza three stars, trying to be balanced. We ordered food and waited for 1 hour 20 minutes. The food came out slowly and often 10 minutes apart. The waitress, kept apologizing and checking. Kids were done well before adults food came out. We sought manager 2x's and asked the waitress to get the manager. He never came out. A good manager never ignores a customer with a problem. I've given three stars rather than 1 star as the food was tasty, but I will never return to this establishment. Phone number to call is posted on a sign on the passenger side about 3 inches off the ground requiring getting out of the car. I order take out 1x a week sometimes more... they get overwhelmed easily so if the phone line is busy just wait a bit and call back or place the order in person and go to Publix for a quick food shop! We came by here this past weekend after reading some Yelp reviews from my favorite Yelpers and they did not disappoint us! We made reservations and were seated immediately in a booth with plexiglass portions which was a nice touch. I love the look of open kitchens and this one was partially open. The decor was modern and very pleasant. Our server Bobo was friendly and very attentive and made us feel very comfortable. We started our dinner with the Korean Ribs, Chicken Wings and Acombo of Salmon Skin and Tuna Sushi rolls and they were all very tasty! For our main course we tried the Shrimp Fried rice, Crispy Beef and the Katsu Chicken with noodles. The flavors of all the dishes were spot on but we found the rice a bit dry. The dishes were well spaced apart and we did not feel hurried or rushed.
