This restaurant was selected by a fa,ily member to meet up at on Saturday at 6pm. Place was already very busy, it's located in the Delray Marketplace right near the NJ Turnpike. There is plenty of parking nearby. We had reserved and outside table, we waited a few moments and were seated as requested. Our waitress was very friendly and asked if we wanted to order any drinks. I proceeded to show her the yelp check in deal, lichee Mari ini, buy one get one free deal. She looked at it closely and said it had expired, it was only good for two weeks in December, it's the middle of March! We asked that she check with her manager to perhaps still honor the advertised yelp deal, even notified her that I was a Yelp Elite, she returned and said it would not be honored. We proceeded to place our order, decided to skip alcohol altogether. We ordered 3 wonton soups which were delicious, so good in fact, I forgot to take a picture, they were huge, delicious and plentiful. We also placed orders for a seaweed salad and Ghosh. All delicious. Their prices are very high for their sushi platters, so we ordered a few rolls a La carte. The other person ordered a pad Thai. My only roll was delicious, Over the Moon roll, a piece of art and was huge, more than enough. My husband ordered a California roll and a Rainbow Roll. He was disappointed in the rainbow roll, there was very little "rainbow" aspect to it. His California roll was to be expected, just more expensive than any other place he had ever gotten one before. When one compares my Over the Moon roll to his rainbow roll, which was at most a dollar or two difference , really cannot compare for the price. This was my first time here and it was a wonderful experience. The server was POW and he so helpful and suggested the house favorite dishes. The dumplings were incredible, the tuna flatbread was full of fantastic flavors with the avocados and shallot sauce. He then suggested the tuna and salmon rolls, well the fish was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and by the way it is owed by Lemongrass and I will go back many times. This is a nice, well run restaurant located in the Delray Beach Marketplace. I've been there twice, once for dinner, once for lunch. They have an indoor & outdoor tables. My wife, kids and I saw this place coming out of the theater. Sat down about 4:00 just in time for their HH menu. The server greeted us immediately and the place had a really cool interior. We started off with pork belly bao buns and their wok charred edamame. It was amazing. Kids ordered bento boxes with enough food for two meals. My son doesn't like cheese and he offered up his cheese stick. (I know I am lucky) Anyway ordered their HH Merlot and some sushi rolls as well. JB and spicy crab. Nothing disappointed. The only thing that was holding me back from five stars is they brought the wrong sushi roll to the table originally. However, the staff was attentive and fixed the mistake right away! Ganzo is an okay restaurant but.....some staff members are either a little rough or lack even basic social skills and Ganzo had an unwelcoming vibe and this was from the hostess (owner? manager?) to the waitress. The waitress was just going through the motions and to be fair I believe the restaurant was understaffed so she was working hard. We ordered quite a bit and nothing - I mean nothing was memorable. Steamed Shrimp Dumplings were pre-made and poor quality and inferior items like this just shouldn't be served. A Chicken with Garlic Sauce had no flavor and was just bland tired chicken that lacked any depth. However the portion was huge and a relative bargain (more so if you like it) and the chicken was better quality than I have had in other local restaurants. A better than average Shrimp Fried Rice as well as decent Raman Soup are the reason the place gets a three star. Prices are quite reasonable and portion sizes are large. read more

I wanted to have a special birthday dinner with my daughter for her birthday. It was only the 3rd time we've been together since COVID-19. Since she lives in Lake Worth and I love in Coconut Creek, we decided to meet in between. West Delray Beach worked. I looked on Yelp, and found Gonzo in the Delray Market Place. We both live Asian cuisines, do I thought we could give it a try. We arrived during "happy hour" and decided to order the Wok Charred Edamame, spicy, garlicy, with truffle oil as an appetizer. 1 order would be enough for 3-4 people. We found when we checked in on the Yelp app, Gonzo offered a free dumplings appetizer. We ordered the steamed chicken Gyoza. They were light and delicious. For dinner, my daughter ordered the Lobster Bomb Roll (like a Volcano Roll typed with Tempura Lobster) and I decided on the Thai Style Sweet Chili Fish, grilled snapper (you can have it fried) with a homemade garlic sweet chili sauce over steamed bok choy with a brown rice/quinoa combination. Both were most and even more delicious than they sound, and the serving sizes were large! No room for dessert after all that, but we did each take home leftovers. Their menu is extensive. Our table was all ready upon arrival, and our servers did a wonderful job throughout the night! This place isn't just for sushi lovers. They have an extensive menu, so there really is something for everyone. Our table ordered a bunch of different foods ranging from sushi, to rice, to ramen, to dumplings. Everything came out hot and fresh. We only had to wait a little bit longer than i would normally assume because of our large party. Service was excellent. Only rough part was that they couldn't do separate checks, so all of our meals were put on one (understandable, but frustrating.) The decor inside was super cute as well. We have come almost every week since Ganzo has opened just for happy hour. The service is always great, fabulous bartenders & quick service. there's an inside and outside bar & plenty of tables inside and outside. My only go to in S. Florida for chicken fried rice. I get at least once a month. It's so clean and the portion is huge that I can make 2 meals out of it. We had family in town and all of us wanted sushi. My husband remembered the Delray Marketplace and found Ganzo Sushi. They have both in and outside seating. We sat inside because the atmosphere was pretty cool. I would have given this place 5 stars because of the food. However, service was slow. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink. Also, my daughter wanted sushi, but she likes soy paper and not seaweed. Most places just sub it out and up charge for the soy. The kids menu had all bento box meals. So we asked for an Avocado Roll Bento Box and for it to be made with soy paper. The waitress said no substitutions. My husband said we don't mind if an additional charge, but my kid really wants soy. She checked with the manager and they stuck to no substitutions. She ended up getting the seaweed in the roll but totally deconstructing it. Not sure why they have the rule, but this is the first place we have ever encountered that won't sub for soy paper. The food was great though! All of our apps pictured were delish. We all cleaned our plates. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious! I would go back again for the food. If the service is still slow next time then I probably wouldn't go back again. read more
