I really like this Brazilian steakhouse. Its food is always good and we always have great service. We eat here every time we are in town.

Our party of 4 arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and it was about 40% full. We were seated right away but the food didn't start arriving for at least 20 minutes. I've never had an experience at this restaurant where our drinks were not kept full (non-alcoholic). I did order a sangria, our waiter never came back to ask if I wanted another. It was a minimum of 15-20 mins between servers offering different types of meat. It took 2 hours to be able to try all of the different meats. At almost $60 per person plus drinks, I was significantly underwhelmed at the service this visit. I was very much looking forward to showing family from out of town what a Brazilian steakhouse was like. I'm not a huge fan of the Brazilian steakhouse concept on the pay top dollar and get all you can eat assortment of meats. I've tied it twice now and it's just not for me BUT if I had to recommend one I would recommend Gauchos. The restaurant is huge, beautiful and clean. Also located a few miles from Dollywood and other tourist attractions. They kept our reservation time and was able to be seated as soon as we arrived. They do require you to wear mask when not at your table and ask that you wear gloves when going to get your salads and side options. If wearing heels be careful as the food area is tiled and isn't the best transition from carpet to tile. Food: we did the Guacho experience for $49.50 that comes with all the meat options. Seafood is an additional price. They start you off with breads while you make your initial meat decision. The sides were pretty good and the meats were seasoned well and came out hot and on a quick rotation. My favorite was the leg of lamb and the chicken leg - Coxa de Frango. It was just too much meat for me so I def don't think I got my monies worth. You can't take anything home so if you really want to try something or really loved a particular item make sure you do that early. I also don't care for the idea of being served and serving yourself. I eat a plant-based diet and ordered the salad bar which had a huge variety of fresh bean salads, vegetables, hummus's and green salad. The white rice and black beans were also vegan. I was with a group of 120 where they reserved the back room. The staff was awesome and did an excellent job. They were prepared mouse the table situation.once that was worded out- they got to work. I give a four bc the salad bar seemed like an after thought. And the side dishes were all a bit overlooked. All the meats that I tried were delicious. The sangria was also very tasty. I did have a scary experience as they put cinnamon on the pineapple. I didn't get a dessert- I had my heart set on the chocolate explosion cake and they ran out. We have been to many Brazilian steakhouses so we have our favorites from many different ones and this did have some really good meats, however, the salad bar was smaller compared to the other places. I know you dont go to a Brazilian steakhouse for a salad but the other restaurants have a lot more options. If I had chosen this as a vegetarian strictly for the salad bar, I would have been disappointed in the price vs variety available. If you are just going for meats alone, there are better out there. The bacon wrapped filet was delicious. Probably top in its class. The ribeye was also tasty and cooked to perfection. The ribs tasted great however they did need some sort of sauce other than the chimichurri that is available on the salad bar. The plantains were also tasty. Served with a side of polenta that didnt really fit with it. The smoked sausage was also very very good. Some of the meats were overcooked. And some needed more seasoning. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Probably the most friendly at one of these restaurants we have been to. With the smaller salad bar and higher prices, we probably wont return. I went to the restroom, when I returned to the table my salad was gone, a full plate of salad. The staff made our meal miserable. We decided that we will never go back. This place is a traditional chain like Brazilian Steakhouse. Their Buffet area lacked good selections like NYC and Northeastern ones. No shrimp, no sushi, no fine pastries, etc. the meats were sufficient but on the over salted side. Both of us drank a lot of water that night after eating the food. I'm giving three stars for the nice interior, cleanliness, and nice bathrooms. Our waiter was just okay... we asked a question and he claimed he didn't speak English but was speaking it all night?!?! So we asked for the manager. He comes back and gives us the menu, why no idea. All my BF was doing was asking if they give a military discount as he served our country 25 years. And the manager was super nice and said absolutely and thanked my BF for his service which I thought was great. But honestly the pricing is steep to get some red meat and If your like us and can't eat a lot in one sitting it's overpriced for hear you can get. Great experience at this steakhouse despite the Covid chaos. All staff were very polite and wore masks, hand sanitizer was provided by the door, and the space inside is large enough to space people out. Masks are to be worn whenever you leave your table. To limit the amount of guest around the Hot Sides Station, the waiter/waitresses would serve them to us at our table. The salad bar was open for grabs, but each item was separate in individual bowls with Saran Wrap over top to prevent people's germs from entering ya food! I'm not going to get into a description as to what a Brazilian Steakhouse is, moreover, we all have our search engine of choice. But, we really enjoyed ourselves. With regards to COVID precautions, we also felt completely secure, which wasn't frequent while in the Pigeon Forge area. All staff were wearing masks, they offered disposable menus, all tables seemed to be spaced accordingly, & all salad bar items were individually wrapped in plastic wrap. They seemed to have gone out of their way to safeguard public health. Before I leave you to your experience, I want to talk a bit about the service at Gaucho - superb. All staff were prompt, courteous, & efficient. Our host Joe was also very special, moreover, I don't think I've ever experienced better service in my entire life. Great experience, basically you choose your experience on which variety of meats you like to eat , you have a small sign on your table to alert servers when you want a meat. Salad bar is unlimited to include sides. This place is actually VEGETARIAN/ PESCATARIAN friendly, I enjoyed the salad bar and the self servesides by itself. If you don't want beef, chicken, lamb, or pork then try the salmon. Cooked to perfection. Service is very good. You'll also get fried yucca which is lime a dessert banana and crispy polenta which tastes like the batter of a funnel cake. Also fresh bread & water. Price will range from $75-$120 for a couple. I have been to Brazilian steakhouses around the country including Utah,Massachusetts, Tennessee,and Colorado. I would consider this the best of the best. The meat was not oversalted. The only issue I had was they did not have chicken livers. The Buffay was not as large as some of the others I have been to but it is very fresh. We were never out of meat or drinks, the staff was very attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. An amazing surprise in Pigeon Forge! We happened upon Gaucho Urbano for dinner while vacationing in the Smoky Mountains. WOW! We are big fans of high-end Brazilian steakhouses and were a little skeptical of what we might find in a small town. It was outstanding! The hostess, wait staff, and management were incredibly attentive. The cold bar was very nice with lots of fresh options. The big standout was the lobster bisque. I would go just for that! The meats were all cooked to perfection with a great selection. There was always a new option being presented and items were cooked fresh if we asked.
