Boris is wonderful. Our Air conditioning stopped working and he came out within a day of calling them. Boris and his team spent over 2 hours assessing the issue and determined it was the control board. Boris quoted me $480. A few days later he and his team came out to install the control board (it had to be ordered) and they spent another 3.5 hours trying to determine why it wouldn't work and discovered it was a bad fuse and thermostat. Boris is the best, period, for so many reasons. Choosing one: It was a hot day in the summer and we were, of course, using the A/C. Had been for a while. And, it stopped working!! We also had an elderly dog who couldn't have survived prolonged heat. We also had a party scheduled for that evening! We were in panic mode! Called Boris and he was busy, of course, but he showed up and fixed the system. It was our fault! We hadn't changed the filter, messing up the whole system. I RECOMMEND GB HEATING AND BORIS 100% AND WITH 10 STARS !! Our furnace failed this last Monday morning. Where was I gonna find someone to fix it on a national holiday. I called the well-advertised service and booked a time because they were available, even tho they said there would be an $89 charge just to show up at my front door; then I read their multiple Yelp reviews of high-pressure tactics, bait-and-switch of parts, etc. and immediately cancelled. Then we dug further into the Yelp reviews and found BG Heating. They had only 24 reviews, but they were all 5 stars. Is that possible? YES, and now ours makes 25. Boris gave a two-hour window for an appointment that afternoon, and called about 15 minutes before he arrived, exactly in the middle of the window. I explained the situation - electric power up to the wall outlet, but none in the furnace itself. Boris took less than 10 seconds to open the main access door to the furnace controls, then closed it, and the furnace began operating. We now know the door has an interlock switch to cut electric power if it's opened and that interlock had somehow become "open" - perhaps jolted during the recent earthquake - and then worked it's way further open over the following days, and the furnace shut down. Boris simply reseated the door and interlock. Boris packed his tools and began walking toward his truck. I asked how much I owed and his reply was, "Nothing. I really didn't do anything". To my thinking he had, indeed, done a lot; he reserved time to come to my house on a holiday and he fixed my furnace. Yet I had to insist that he accept a small gratuity to show my appreciation for exceptional service. My headline above says it all: 100% AND 10 STARS. read more

I called GB Heating and AC at 8 am Tuesday morning and spoke to Boris about the fact my air conditioning unit was not producing cold air. He said he could come out between 3-4 pm. When he didn't show up by 3:30 I called and texted him if he was still on schedule. He did not return my text or phone call. The heat wave struck the Bay Area this week, and of all things, our A/C unit stops working! Isn't that how things always turn out? We were literally dying from the "oven" we call a house. I called several A/C companies, and they were all booked for weeks. I found GB Heating & Air Conditioning on the Tempstar website as an authorized dealer, and through Yelp. All the reviews I read about GB Heating, and Boris, were all extremely favorable. And, now, count me as another five star reviewer. Boris came out immediately to our house, despite being booked in advance. He placed customer service first, especially since he knew we would be very uncomfortable with the heat wave. He went to our A/C unit and promptly diagnosed the problem as a bad fuse, which he replaced with two new ones. He commented that our original A/C installer should have replaced both the disconnect box and the fuses, instead of using the original box and fuses. I think this reflects how he wants to do things right, as well as his honesty. We have used Boris at GB heating for a year now and hands down this is the best customer service we have ever received. First of all he is always early or right on time. Once we had him come by to replace all our thermostats but it turned out to be a more complicated fuse issue and he came by for 2 days and never charged us any more additional despite it being a much more complicated job than we had thought. His team recently replaced our furnace and spent an hour after the job was complete checking our dual zone home to make sure each vent worked for heat and a/c. And on top of it he charged us 10% less than quoted and insisted he couldn't take more. We will never call anyone else for our hvac system! read more

The technician Almaden asked where we lived and said he could make ours his last visit - driving to the east bay all the way from San Francisco!
