Communication was good, and there were no unexpected surprises. The employees come roughly around the same time and make sure to let you know that they've arrived. They also let you know when they are leaving for the day. The technicians worked hard and addressed any questions that popped up. At the end, an employee made sure that I knew how to operate the thermostat to control both zones. A staff member was present for the city inspection and for an inspection for HERS (Home Energy Rating System). Mark made sure that I had all necessary documentation to apply for a rebate and for another rebate, Mark was able to apply directly for that and forward the rebate to me. A minor question/issue came up after the installation and Mark replied quickly. I feel that they will address any problems. Some companies forget you exist after doing the job, but I don't feel that way with Compare Heating & Air.

Paul, the owner from MechPros HVAC came over the weekend to do the assessment and consultation. It was very helpful be able to do it over the weekend so I didn't have to take time off from work. He was on time, communicated well, and very thorough. Among the half a dozen vendors I contacted, he was among the few that truly listened to my input instead of trying to upsell or push options I wasn't interested in. After comparing all the quotes, MechPros' quote was very competitive. I decided to go with them and scheduled the job which was able to start quickly in about a week after signing the contract. On the scheduled day, Will and Kieran, the two installation crew members, arrived right on time. They were courteous, personable, and professional, and did a good job. They kept the job site clean and neat with drop clothes with minimum disruption. After two days of work, the installation was done. They cleaned up nicely, took away all the disposable materials, and restored everything back to where things were. The installation job was done very neatly in the attic and backyard. I can tell they are proud of their work too. The new system is much better than the system it replaced. After the system started up, I noticed some issues. Paul was very responsive and sent a technician immediately to check it out. After a repair that wasn't successful, he personally came out and concluded that the issue was related to the equipment. Paul took responsibility and ownership of addressing the equipment problem under warranty with the manufacturer. He sped up the resolution by fronting the cost of providing replacement components and dealing with the warranty replacement parts separately to reduce the system down time. I appreciate MechPros HVAC and Paul for taking ownership and having customer service as a top priority. After the problem was resolved, MechPros also helped coordinate the city inspection to secure the final permit approval. Barberio came out on the coldest week of the year, after hours, to make sure my household did not go without heat. Since then, they have done honest work and advised me appropriately - some ductwork needed to be changed, others didn't. They totally could have swindled me into a whole new duct system but they didn't. He even told me I have maybe 5-10 years left in our attic which does absolutely no benefit to their company. Since my experience in November, I have had them back out to replace additional ducts, clean the older ducts, reinsulate the return in the garage, install dehumidifier/ exhaust fans in the bathroom, and replace rolls of insulation in the attic where needed. Great owner, nice workers. I trust them in my home which is far more than just delivering a service.
