This is been our favorite place for years now. The delicious food and the service everything is just amazing and the atmosphere is incredible! You get to cook your own food, the beverages are good and the desserts are delicious! Toddler APPROVED.

some of the lowest quality meat you will see in your life. it was a struggle for me to eat this, even dunked in sauce. that image is beef, but you can't tell because it has no marbling at all. the most unappetizing food and setting. our bbq went out three times, until the manager finally came to fiddle with it. meanwhile, the meat on the grill had been sitting there half-cooked for 10 minutes. i told them we are not eating it, and they tried to argue at first that we would need to pay a leftover fee even though their bbq didnt work and the meat was repulsive. i went here because my boyfriend wanted to go somewhere cheap for a gathering - but even for the price, i regret it. you are so much better off paying more in koreatown. bad, lazy service, horrible meat quality, and just a chaotic, tacky atmosphere with slippery/sticky floors. never again!

Sorry for the mess but it's was amazing food :) lol to hungry to take a nice pic :)

Constantly have to remind them about our orders. Portion is really small, the photo is one serving of brisket which is barely enough for even one person. So we asked for multiple servings but will only get one plate. Not as much side dishes

We love this place everything is perfect the food is delicious amo esta comida es un lugar limpio y organizado

A DEAD INSECT (already dried) on my potato salad.

The staff thought I was crazy and called me WEIRD because they said "they have everything packed in the back in "containers". The manager said "the windows are open". LOL. How can a DEAD insect fly if it's already dead and dried off? I already ate one whole potato salad before eating this one. I really don't mind paying on what's on our receipt but they gave us like approximately $20 off and we dined in as two people. Yeah my lunch was bad because I literally just started enjoying my meal and I was not even full but yet we had to leave because my appetite went downhill. Never going back here. Not taking accountability and calling the customer weird because of a DEAD FLY being on a potato salad? Like it's my fault that DEAD FLY that CANT EVEN FLY that's DRIED OFF is on there?

I had a great time going out to Gen with a friend of mine for my birthday dinner. We both had the all you can eat...we did! We started our evening at the bar for a drink before our table was ready. We only waited about 10 minutes until we were seated at the table to nosh on fresh grilled meat and seafood. We had a great time and only ordered cuts we wanted to eat. I can't wait to go again!

Thinly sliced brisket

Every time we come by it never disappoints! We had Aaron as our server again. He did amazing. Kept drinks coming and kept changing our grill when needed. Some of the meats come frozen or either thawed really good. Either way, food is always a hit. I wish I took more pictures of everything else we had but I was too busy eating. Place was clean and very well maintained. Also, Shout out to the bussers I always see getting tables cleaned and prepped for the next guest to enjoy! This place has really upped their game from when the previous owners managed it. Hands down one of the best Korean bbq places I've been to. Only thing I am bummed about is they got rid of the mango bites!! One of my favorites! I'll also add, they should start to serve steamed egg. If they can get that in, I will come more than 1 once a week!

We went during the week around 2 pm so there wasn't a long wait but I have seen people waiting to get in during the weekend. We were lucky and got a great server. The place looks clean. As far as the menu goes, you can choose the regular all you can eat (29.99 per person) or you can upgrade to VIP for $20 more per person. VIP let you enjoy more meats and a drink. Have in mind that as part of the all you can't eat, you aren't allowed to take food home. (If you need to take something home you can order a la carte) You will get full, so come prepared to eat a lot. Appetizers and the sides are included with both regular or VIP. If you enjoy wagu meats and steaks, you might want to upgrade for the VIP

Great Restaurant! I go here every once in a while! But the service by the waiters and employees are always, more than hospitable, the employees here really care for their customers!

Such a great concept..It was $1 wing night and let me tell you, Crispy, flavorful, and I couldn't eat them fast enough! We got a few other items that deserve jist as much praise! Smash burger, Sweet & smokey potato with pork belly YUMM!!! The smash fries had me in a good coma! The service was friendly and and our food arrived in a timely manner, which is important. The place is spacious and is in the Ventura Music Hall, were concerts, bands, and other music events happen. I most definitely will be back for whatever this place is selling!!! This is a MUST stop with family, or friends. Great for groups.

Located currently inside the Ventura Theatre, you will find parking in the rear parking lot. Only open on the weekends, I had to plan my visit and stopped by on a Saturday 20 min after they opened. They had a line out the door! I took this as a GREAT sign. After waiting in line for 10 min we placed our order. We got a 1/2 pound of Tri Tip and Brisket, one sausage link, a side of Mac and cheese, brisket gravy mashed potatoes and chili beans. This ran us $70 bucks and it WAS WORTH IT. The brisket was the star of the show as it was very flavorful and smoky and cooked to perfection. The tri tip was good, just needed a bit more seasoning/salt for my liking. But it was cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was phenomenal as well along with gravy and mashed potatoes. Over all, would have to rate this place a 8 out of 10. Make sure you stop by and support this local buisness. Every penny spent here was worth it and I already can't wait to come back again. Thanks Ruff House BBQ for the great lunch, till next time.

There are no fancy contracts, no drama, and no surprises--just a handshake, a date, and a headcount. I tell Wayne when we're eating and how many mouths we need to feed, and he shows up on time, fully prepared, and ready to deliver. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means everything when you're feeding a large group. The food is consistently excellent, the service is smooth, and the whole operation reflects pride, experience, and family values. You can tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about doing things right. When you find people you can trust completely, you stick with them--and that's exactly why we'll continue to use It's in the Sauce for future reunions. Highly recommended without hesitation.

We probably wouldn't have dropped by it if someone hadn't told us about it. The staff was kind, friendly, and gave suggestions when we asked questions about the various meat options. The cash register is right straight in as you walk in. There are communal benches outside and a few high top tables inside, but the restaurant seemed to get a lot of pick up orders. Food came out within 5 minutes on a Saturday at lunch, which I was weary about since it's BBQ - but everything ended up still being hot and juicy. We ended up going with the 3-meat plate for about $30 total. It was enough for 2 people (or 1 really hungry person!). We ordered the brisket, burnt ends, and hot links which came with garlic bread and two sides of our choice - the star of the show was for sure the burnt ends, which were juicy and deeply flavorful. The brisket was moist, which I feel like is hard to find, but I do wish it had more flavor. The hot links were also good but didn't have much nuance either. Next time, we'll definitely save room to try some dessert, which was only $5! If you're in the area, definitely check this place out!

Well, passing through town again staying for a few days to visit friends and family from my old…read morestomping ground here in Ventura, California. I crave some barbecue tri-tip.. I read somewhere across the street where this Location used to be in that food court is another barbecue place that I didn't get to try unfortunately because I'm pretty loyal to Buster's . it was about 730 on a Monday night and they close at eight so I figured you know what I'll give them a shot. Upon entering the business I could smell some of the meats we're still cooking on the grill so that's a good sign. I need a quick take on the pricing and wow unbelievable that this place at one time sold a tri-tip sandwich for 7.99 and a tri-tip dinner for about 13.99. now the sandwich is 14.99 and the dinner is 19.99.. there's a picture included. You can zoom in and see the prices for yourself but not sure how much I would get. I was starving. I got the dinner and I also got the sandwich. I can also eat the next day or simple some of my was not full. I opted for the potato salad, the coleslaw and the beans on the dinner and the sandwich just comes with tri-tip French bread and a barbecue sauce of your choice or you can get hot version which I avoid. So about 35.00 and I'm headed back to my hotel. I dug into the dinner first and yes, the tri-tip was kind of dry, but would you dip it into the barbecue sauce? It was OK. The beans were OK. I needed some seasoning potato salad. It was great and the coleslaw was just average coleslaw. nothing to write home about the butter. Bread was pretty good portions was it fresh it was warm. Could've been better.. I was given about 4 to 5 slices of tri-tip, which isn't really a lot so I attacked the language and took a few slices off of there and then put the rest away for tomorrow. Overall, it's decent maybe I should've went when it was fresher in the afternoon, but I probably wouldn't recommend going late in the evening as things are being put away and food tends to sit around for a while. can't really blame the price too much because we all know. Beef prices are insane these days but I think you should at least get more portions for the $$$$ you're paying for. on my next visit I head across the street and try the new place if it's still an existence cause we know that food court turns new places over left and right and it could be vacated on my next return..

The house-made chili beans were also flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The potato salad was solid and the coleslaw was delicious if you grew up enjoying KFC coleslaw. The meats live up to the high expectations we have for BBQ and it draws large crowds at lunchtime. The cashier at the counter was very friendly and helpful and the meal was brought to the table fairly quickly. The interior 2 dining rooms are spacious and the standout decor is comprised of large TV screens playing an eclectic selection of cartoons, sports and home improvement shows. The focus here is definitely serving up the best BBQ and fixings. We'll absolutely be back to try the ribs, and chicken.
