Mood- During the Week Adventure I have seen this place on my feeds for a little while now. I have not been able to entertain it sooner as they are only open during the week. So this day I decided to jump on the opportunity and make it a plan. Upon entering it was already busy. There were several people waiting for their orders. I walked up to the counter and placed my order for a Hawaiian Sun Drink, Garlic Chicken bowl and Hurricane Chicken Meal to go. The chicken on both meals was very flavorful. The bowls are standard and come with Mac Salad and Rice. Everything was packaged well for the drive back to my house. Interior has several table and chair arrangements. Everything was clean and music was playing in the background. So many people were coming in and out on their lunch break. Would recommend - Pricing is typical for the items ordered. The tables were absolutely filthy and then when the girl came to clean our table, she used the dirtiest towel I had seen in a while. And then she just swiped it half ass. Terrible! 1 star only cuz I had to rate it or else I couldn't finish. Small portions and the poke is sweet. Why?! My plate of garlic chicken came with the chicken on a bed or rice, a side of bland mac salad and a second side of rice. What?! Can't rate service because there was no service. They take your order and charge you and ask for tip. After you sit down to wait for your food you have to then get up and pick up your food from the counter where you ordered. Ordered quarter lb of spicy poke and a mini loco plate. the girl on the phone didn't seem like she wanted to talk. Sounded a bit irritated to take my order. I didn't think anything of it, no big deal. I wasn't greeted when i walked in. I walked up to the counter for my order and didn't feel acknowledged that i was there, lol. For a first timer that was excited to try this place, it was whatever. Food - I looked at my poke and realized that it was the wrong one. I ordered spicy but i got the Hawaiian poke. No big deal either, i love poke. It tasted fresh and nice compared to the one back home. Just wish i got the one i ordered lol. I travel between California and Nevada often for work. I was really excited to learn about a new spot to eat at near work so my co-workers recommended we eat here. I am just going to keep it a buck fam, their Garlic Chicken (in either bowl or plate) is really fucking good. I pretty much get that honestly. I did venture out and try their Poke Bowls and those are fire too. They always got that fresh Hawaiian Sun on deck so I gotta have that with my meal all the time. As for important information, the lunch rush is not bad at all. They crank out the food at a fast pace so you don't have to wait long. If you are really in a time crunch you should probably call ahead, but that's anywhere you go. I have probably eaten here at least 5-6 times so far already in September. The food was ok, nothing special. I got their Gen Pac. Mostly rice that wasn't that great. They didn't have fried chicken so they offered a substitution which I chose there hurricane chicken thinking it was going to be something special but I could hardly taste any chicken under all the sauces. Fish was ok. Spam was delicious. But what local boy no like spam am I right? And the small piece of teriyaki had little meat on it with mostly fat. All this for $15 is not worth it. I was looking forward to add this place to my list of Hawaiian food restaurants to eat but now I'm not sure. Maybe I might give them another shot in the future or maybe not. The restaurant is located in a commercial building complex with ample parking. We came on a Saturday at noon and the place was packed. There was no place to sit so we did a to-go order. I tried ordering their bbq chicken bowl but they were sold-out so I opted for their fried garlic chicken bowl. The only other grilled protein option they had was a beef bowl (everything else is fried). The service was great and the ambiance felt like your local mom and pop authentic Hawaiian restaurant. Ono (delicious) local food. Loco moco was large enough to give you a "kanak attack." Poke nachos was fresh and tasty. The mix chicken plate was very good. I loved the mochi crunch in the hurricane chicken, and the garlic chicken was on point! Fried noodles had me reminiscing about back home. My parents decided they wanted to try generations kitchen since now they've got a brick and motor and it's close by the house so generations kitchen is what we got. We made a to go order and we got The Gen Pack, Poke Nachos, redondo musubi, and the Meat Jun. To start of - I've been seeing these poke nachos since they started off as a business and been waiiiiiittting to try them. I was EXCITED when my parents mentioned they wanted to try. Their place is located near warehouses. I would've never guessed they were able to fit a stand alone kitchen so that was cool. Ambiance is your typical restaurant nothing to fancy, easy going. Now to their food plates... Musubi - rice, hot dog, seaweed...a musubi. It was their last musubi they had and it was dry. I believe it was because it had been sitting out. The Gen Pack - included chicken, fish, Teri beef, hot dog, rice, and Mac. The highlight of the plate IS the chicken. It was delicious. The fish seems like it's already premade which is no biggie. Hot dog can neva go wrong with redondos. Teri beef was dry no flavor which brings me to their meat jun... Meat Jun - includes just rice and Mac. There was no kimchi included and that is a MUST, however maybe inflation? Or maybe they just want to keep it simple? Not sure but the plate sure was missing just that. The Teri beef had no flavor all I could taste was the egg and I definitely drowned each piece in the sauce it comes with just to taste some sort of flavor. Poke Nachos - can you say Mayo overload? Every bite was purely Mayo now I get it we live in vegas and trust me I know how expensive poke can get so I understand why there was hardly any fish to where I just ended up eating the poke with rice from our meat jun plate and threw away the rest of the fried wontons. It was way to overpowering for just fried wontons and to give you an idea of how little poke there was on the nachos. To conclude - I would give this place another try sometime in the future. Maybe to try other plates? As a consumer and as a suggestion generations kitchen just need some adjusting to do with their plates. Also this review is SOLELY based on my experience.
