    Sushi conveyor belt

It has been a while, but we came he for my sushi craving and it was a little late to go anywhere else. I'm glad that we came here because I enjoyed their garlic seared salmon, plain udon, geso karaage, and the mentai seared salmon roll. You don't see the picture of the mentai seared salmon roll in my photos. I forgot to take that photo, like I almost forgot about the California roll! One of the things I like about going to sushi spots is the wasabi! The wasabi here, actually burns your nose, which is a plus! The service here is good, everyone is polite and busy! As for the ambiance, I really like the conveyor belt, and that they are providing QR scan to order, as well. The sushi comes out much quicker that way, instead of waiting for it to come around the belt. It's a plus that they have booths available for customers, too. Even though the food here is a little more pricey, I like coming here for some sushi and udon!

top to bottom: samurai roll, spicy tuna roll, veggie roll & salmon nigiri (1 order of nigiri includes 2 pieces). cost: 21.41$

i thought i had left a review already... i've been going to genki for a long time now. in the past 10 years it was SO good, so NOT good... and i thiiiink... it is back to good! i recently popped in and was happy to see a few familiar faces, even happier to have some of the best sushi at genki in a long time. they recently launched mobile ordering when seated but still working through it - not everything has been posted on it so you may need to order through staff still and you can't pay mobile either. the staff is so helpful and nice. the onion nigiri is my #1, followed by my classic flaming hot roll. those 2 rolls are the ONLY REASON i come back here! nowhere else makes anything as tasty. order it (don't get it off the belt) and try for yourself. the onion nigiri includes mayo on salmon nigiri. the flaming hot is spicy mayo, tempura flakes, jalapeño, cream cheese and salmon.

The food (Sushi) was yummy. The service was good. The sushi come on a rotating conveyor belt and you grab what you like to eat.

Probably one of the most expensive conveyor belt sushi places I've been. Salmon nigiri is $4.85 a plate. It's delicious, yes, but too expensive for me to visit often. There were only 3 tables full including mine and I'm guessing it's because of the cost. The bathroom was clean but covered in graffiti ( not the cool kind either). Even the soda is expensive at $3.15

Conveyer belt sushi was so fun! I don't think there are any booths so the conveyer belt runs through everyone in the restaurant. Lots of selection, and plates are color coded. Sushi was good and had solid selection.

Pretty good sushi, service was ok. To be fair everything was self serve, but the staff did good by checking up on us and as well made sure if we were liking everything. Overall great atmosphere and a pretty cool experience.

I'm honestly surprised this conveyor belt sushi restaurant is alive and kicking still. It even outlived Sushiland! My first time at Genki was in Factoria and I was never impressed with their spam and imitation crab stick nigiri. I guess this is good for people that don't want to try raw fish and still want that sushi experience. But for me, this is going to sound super pretentious, this ain't real sushi in my eyes. I mean, yes they do have salmon, tuna, and all that good stuff, but when you only see just the cooked stuff on the belt, I'm going to judge. This Renton location is better though because they do actually put out the raw stuff on the belt. So that's good. I don't know if they use a machine to shape the rice for the nigiri, but they be thick! If you like rice a lot, this is great for you. But this is too much rice for my comfort on a nigiri. I honestly had like 3 or 4 plates before I got full. And normally I would get 8 on average! So that says a lot. And I saw another customer just straight up not eat the rice and created a giant pile! This place isn't for me. I've been too scarred by my first time experience at a Genki. The vibe doesn't feel right and in my opinion, there are better sushi restaurants and also sushi conveyor belt places elsewhere. Don't let me stop you from coming here if it's still your jam. Enjoy what you enjoy!

I like this Genki sushi since their aren't that much places that serves sushi on a conveyor belt anymore. Their staff are nice and the place is very chill. It's always fun how you can see everything and grab what you want. Ofcourse, if you know what you want your can order to your specific likings. It's just nice to see your options before you buy. You can get carried away just picking up stuff and before you know it, you have a wall of plates in front of you. My favorite would have to be the Garlic Salmon Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll & Takoyaki. So what are you waiting for.

Disappointing. Dejected. Arrived at 7:00 PM on a Friday evening for dinner. We put our name and phone number down for 2 as the hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait. We sat down and waited for less than 10 minutes when she called us. We got seated at a booth table right next to the conveyor belt. A server came and took our drink orders while we were looking at the menu. As we were seeing what we could pick from the conveyor belt, the pictures of the food on the menu looked really good. However, when we selected a couple of California Rolls, Dynamite Roll, Shrimp Tempura roll and a couple of others, they did not taste good at all! For instance, the Avocado tasted old, the rolls were missing salt, sesame oil on the seaweed and some seasoning. California Rolls were very bland. Could only eat it by dipping it into spicy mayo, otherwise it was tasteless. The Shrimp Tempura didn't taste fresh, either. It was missing something as well. Not sure what it was, but all of the rolls were pretty bland. Even the basic egg and Spam rolls were dry, and tasteless. Homemade Spam and Egg tastes much better! I have had much better sushi elsewhere. My 3 favorite sushi rolls were the worst at this place. I suggest more seasoning and fresher ingredients when making the rolls. Probably won't be back again, though. Whatever my girlfriend ate, she got allergic to something as well since she got rashes all over right before we left...

Disappointed. Open Neon sign should be turned off.

We were one of two parties dining in on weekday lunch hour - there are many tables for dine in or the location is easy for takeout. It is very clean inside. The crispy rice was surprisingly not too greasy and you could share among 4 adults (if you split and each want a bite) or they are easy to consume before you know... While I enjoyed everything we ordered, my favorites were the H2 and Perfect Wave rolls. Took the chicken katsu curry to go and my husband inhaled it at home. Pricing is what you would expect for this area and was justified by the quality of food. Benny is very friendly and personable. He left a great impression with us for our first time dining in. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).

Other places will charge extra for the large size, or up charge for extra broth/noodles. Here, they give you a large portion upfront. Amazing. Also, you don't have to add hoisin or anything - broth comes with the perfect flavor already. You can add other toppings to your liking. My husband ordered (to my surprise) chicken noodle soup. He is normally a spicy curry type person, and I was very skeptical about his choice. Well, this is not your average chicken noodle soup. If anything, this is the furthest thing from it, in the best way. The noodles are thick, soft and chewy. They slightly remind me of mochi, although they're not sweet. The broth is also subtle, flavorful and a different taste profile from the pho. Everyone enjoyed this dish, especially my little toddler. The sausage was very flavorful, moist, and paired nicely with the sauce (which was slightly spicy). And, the pork belly was the perfect brown color, soft, moist, and decadent.
