For the smaller size plates that these folks make, they're not very fresh. It used to be better and offer a better variety but now it seems to be more recycled stuff that's been sitting around on the belt. The rolls aren't made well and I had a few things like the egg rolls and salmon bits that were cold and soggy. I asked about it and they were eager to bring a fresh one but I wonder if they just took the old stuff and dunked in a fryer again. The chicken karage had almost no breading or coating compared to a few months ago when it was better. It's not worth the trouble to try again. read more

Good option for satisfying a sushi craving if you need a quick fix. Prices have gone up, but that's true for all restaurants across the board. Maybe part of the increase is the result of their recent interior renovations. Inflation is real and that's just the norm moving forward. It is sad that this is the only location left in the Seattle area. When it was posted that they were closing for renovationover a year ago, I thought they had closed for good. Genki sushi is a tried and true dependable kaitenzushi establishment. I usually don't order sashimi in America since I'm picky with quality so my review is okay on the cooked and vegetarian sushi. Everything tastes fresh and if you don't see it on the conveyor belt, you can ask for it and then they make it all there for you. This is especially helpful if you want something super fresh, too. This is a great experience for kids and adults alike. It's really fun to see food going around and then choosing what you want. There's somewhat of a barrier to entry if you're not familiar with Japanese food. When I bring out of town friends here, I have to explain everything but it's an enjoyable experience no the less. read more

This place is awesome. My friends and I came in on a Sunday for lunch and were able to get seated right away - the last available table at the moment. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The music kind of sucks, but that's not what I came for lol. Our server was average - checked up on us a few times but we had to ask for refills on more than one occasion. He was still very friendly. The food - definitely top-tier relative to conveyer belt sushi types of restaurants. Started off with seared salmon and miso soup and both were delicious. Miso soup was very hot and flavorful and seared salmon tasted sooo good. They offer a lot of selections as the conveyer belt goes by and bold signs telling customers to be absolutely sure if they want a certain item off the conveyer belt (to prevent customers from changing their mind and putting it back on). My favorite dish was the garlic seared salmon! At reasonable prices, this place is definitely the best conveyer belt sushi in the area. read more

I'd recommend the fatty salmon and their signature rolls, they'll fill you up quite fast and the chefs make anything to order rather quickly. I grew up going to this genki and have been a frequent customer for well over a decade. I used to come as often as once a week. The service and food quality often varied but I understood that this type of establishment makes it difficult to be on top of everything, which I used to forgive them for since it's still my first pick for cheap sushi. Unfortunately, tonight's service was so terrible to the point where I wanted to walk out asap. My sister and I walk in a little over an hour before close and the greeter at the desk stared at us for a good few seconds with eyes and an odor that made it apparent she's good friends with Mary Jane. Mumbled to us about sitting at the bar. Gave us chopsticks, a sauce dish, and didn't even ask if we wanted water. Even the diners around us were looking around frantically for a server as none were to be found. Once they did appear, they huddled in a corner throwing chopsticks at each other and disregarded those of us who desperately wanted to eat and get the f out. Luckily the belt was fairly full since the kitchen staff always knew a thing or two about feeding people. The thick nigiri cuts and unique speciality rolls distracted me from the fact that I was still severely dehydrated and almost resorted to drinking water from the bathroom sink. The best part of the night was having a nice filling meal after only sitting for 15 mins and finishing it off with a nice dessert: ice water from a server that actually paid attention to us when we flagged him down! Unfortunately I will be back and maybe I'll order a Sapporo to make the experience a little easier next time. read more

What a unique experience. Conveyor belt sushi. Love it. This place is usually busy and for good reason. Walk in greeted and seated right away. You can give the waiter your order or just grab whatever you fancy from the the conveyor belt. My go tos are the le roll yin roll dragon roll dynamite roll. Remember the portion of each roll might fill you up real quick so just take your time and enjoy. For starters as well I always go for the karage takoyaki or a nice bowl of ramen . Oh I forgot the the fries are pretty tasty as well. And to wash it all down the green tea here is really good . Or I get a small bottle of hot sake. Be careful it the bottle is really hot and you might burn your hand just fyi. Everything I've had was always tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. You've got plenty of parking too here. And when your done you can stop by the Asian food market across the parking lot. Looking forward to stopping in again. I use to LOVE this spot. It's terrible now. I've been in twice during lunch and dinner hour on a weekday and everything off the belt was stale. I'll ask directly from the chef and they'll just reluctantly pull your order from the belt. Which is not exactly what you'd look for when you ask directly from the sushi chef. Showed up at around 5:30-6:00pm on a Friday, got on the wait-list, and were seated at the sushi bar in 10 minutes. Similar to every other conveyor belt sushi place I've been to- revolving belt moves at a decent pace throughout the restaurant with plates of sushi rolls, nigiri, hot items, and desserts. Price depends on the color of the plate corresponding to the menu in front of you. Most items we had tasted good- most notably the seared garlic salmon (tender, lightly garlicky, aromatic), ikura (good portion of overflowing ikura but pricey), salmon nigiri (fatty enough on its own). I found this spot and i'm really impressed. i have gone to other revolving sushi spots. This one is close to me so that makes me very happy. I have gone to this place 2 separate times. Each time the sushi has been super fresh and so delicious. I was in the mood for ramen so i tried the garlic and beef one. They didn't hit for me. They were not very flavorful or hot enough (temperature wise) Which was sad but it's ok, i just won't come here for ramen. But i will definitely be back for the sushi. read more

Love this conveyer belt sushi joint! I don't usually go to conveyer belt sushis because the quality of the food usually isn't so good. But I came across this hidden gem and gave it a try due to its good reviews. The customer service here is great, they make sure you get seated comfortably and there are waiters and waitresses walking around all the time, so if you have any special requests they wont be far. The fish quality is pretty good! The salmon is delicious and their rolls are fantastic. You can tell that they don't skimp you out on their rolls, they are all good sized and the fish in their nigiri is perfect! The price of what you pay for what you get is true! There are some premium rolls that can range to 5$ I'd say it's a great price. Usually a full roll costs $12-15 and it comes with 8 pieces but the $5 plates come in 4 so thinking about it that way it's cheaper. Overall, my experience here was very pleasant and I will be back for more! read more

Good sushi and a stocked up conveyor belt is all I ask for! I enjoyed the sushi here. The nigiri was good for conveyor belt quality and the udon hit the spot on a cold day. I didn't get too much into the rolls, but did see a large variety on the menu and conveyor belt for both rolls and nigiri. As mentioned, they did a great job keeping the conveyor belt stocked. I always noticed the chefs hard at work to fill up the belt with more food, and there was plenty to go around. Service was average, checking up on us a few times but also had to be flagged down other times. They did do a nice job accommodating to our larger party of 7 though which was appreciated. During COVID-19 the restaurant is open for dine-in but you have to order the plates yourself instead of getting the sushi off of the conveyor belt. It is a little pricier than Sushi Land but the quality is much better. Some of the rolls my friends got were mushy and they couldn't finish them because of that. Everyone was spaced out and we were seated at a booth quickly. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, California roll, tempura roll, calamari, and Inari. Since Covid, they aren't using the conveyor belt and you just order from the server. Everything was delicious and you can really taste the quality in their food which is why we are going to keep on coming back.
