    Chicken cutlet ramen

Came here for an anniversary dinner on a Thursday night and had a great time! I wish more people were in the restaurant, when we arrived around 6:45, we were the only people! While it's maybe early for dinner, and a Thursday, only one other couple came during the time we were there. I'd hate to see this place go out of business. The service was great! Our server was very kind and friendly. I loved the salad - so fresh tasting and the dried blueberries were a fun texture for an otherwise crunchy appetizer. We had the ramen and the New York strip which were both great in flavor and well prepared. My only complaints were that the wine glass was not practical- filled to the brim and kept spilling... and that I wish the steak had a bit more char on the outside. The inside was a nicely cooked medium though.

George and Violets is quaint and small. The steak is cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were light and airy. Don't skip the Parker rolls they are house-made and incredible. Our server was so helpful and gave great recommendations.

We love George and Violets. They have made some changes in the the last year that have really benefited them. The ambiance is fantastic. Date night, dimmed room, elegant. Not stuffy though. Their taste is impeccable for decor. The front booths are a little tight for a large person, but in the back no issues. Their service is always on point. We have managed to call for a tables last minute multiple times and get sat within a reasonable window. The food!!! We were sad when they changed from a steakhouse to a fusion restaurant. But their menu has evolved into this beautiful, quality, flavor packed, and versatile options menu...that includes a couple steaks! This is our go to when we want a steak for sure! Anything you order will be tasty! The price is worthy, but it is steep. With cocktails or wine, expect $60-90/person.

Food was amazing and came out in a reasonable time. Service was great! Cocktail menu looked very interesting. Tried the alcohol free mojito which was delicious.

40 day dry aged grass fed steak with spicy marrow spread and hazelnut miso butter

Food and service were excellent here. Waiter was so attentive with the water and even in bringing the dessert when I had just finished my steak. I had the 40 day dry aged grass fed ribeye with a side of hazelnut miso butter and spicy bone marrow spread. I actually loved the spicy bone marrow spread better than the hazelnut miso butter. The spiciness was very mild like Jack in the box mild. I really liked the spreadable beef fat with focaccia bread as well. Had to order more focaccia to use up the bone marrow spread and hazelnut miso butter. The bone marrow complemented the beef better. The hostess told me the beef is locally grown about 20 miles away and is grass fed and grain finished. The hostess is also the dessert maker and offered to answer any questions about the dessert if I wanted to geek out about it. The presentation of the dessert was beautiful. It consisted of blackberry sorbet, hazelnut toffee pieces which I was informed is a modified version of what the French Laundry and Bouchon uses, bavarois which is milk folded with whipped cream and set with gelatin with dehydrated hibiscus pieces and speculoos. Sorbet was topped with a white chocolate blackberry flavored flower piece with gold leaf accent. Will definitely be back.

Hi Yelp, does G&V have happy hour? Any details appreciated TIA!

So is this still a steak house or just a ramen place now? Considering for UO graduation meal. Thanks

Neither -- Google George & Violet's menu, it has quite a few choices.

A very nice and clean place, clean restroom too!! Once we decided on food, we went to the counter to order. Man there was so much offered, there was definitely something for everyone's tastes. Everything was absolutely delicious and they brought it to us, in a short time. Definitely recommend every thing we ordered. The 2 meat platter, and platters I mean a small baking sheet !!!!!! The Cajun Bbq Burger with tots, Bacon Burger Fries (tons of) with side of Mac and Cheese (omg), Pulled Pork with Cheese Soup and Baked Potato, and my choice was the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Cajun Tots . Omg our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. My Philly had to be cut in half and even that still so filling. Everything was absolutely delicious, %. The food was incredible--like the kind where you take a bite and just stop for a second because it's that good. You can tell there's real skill and intention behind every dish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable without feeling overdone or pretentious. It felt like the kind of place you actually want to sit, relax, and actually enjoy your time. Chef Billy was a highlight--super personable, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about what he does. That personal touch made the whole experience even better. And honestly, this place set the bar so high that when we went to another restaurant the following week and paid more for our meal, it didn't even come close. We literally left wishing we had just gone back here instead. That says everything. If you're considering trying Dueling Spoons--do it. This place is something special, and I'll absolutely be back.

This is a difficult review to write. If I were not the guest at Centennial Steakhouse tonight and…read moresomeone else was sharing their experience I am not sure I would believe it. At a previous visit the server mentioned I should consider a Tuesday visit to enjoy the $16 all you can eat red sauce spaghetti dinner. So tonight my dinner date and myself hopped on the LTD bus #13 and headed for Centennial Steakhouse located at 1300 Mohawk Blvd. in Springfield. Entering we stopped to observe the message board mentioning the $16 special and $4 Margarita. Arriving at 3:30 pm we found the choice of seating plentiful with booth and table space available. Children welcome until 10 pm. Our server immediately arrived to take our drink orders. The $4 Margarita was tasty and obviously free poured. I appreciated that our server was attentive without being intrusive. Our spaghetti dinners arrived when we ordered our 2nd Margarita drinks. Now here is the unbelievable portion of this review. Completing the meal the server ask if we would like to order a meal to go. We shake our heads and she says "it is included with the all you can eat." WHAT! So our tab included 2 spaghetti dinners we ate and two full to go boxes for dinner tomorrow evening. So unbelievable. We arrived while the bartender (is that the PC description?) was taking our drink orders and a server came on to take our food and 2nd drink order. We cash tipped out the bartender/server and cash tipped out our server. It is always confusing to know if tips are shared our separate. Centennial Steakhouse is my easy bus ride to visit fun place these days. This was my third visit where I enjoy perfect guest service.
