I stopped in at George Webbs for a sundae to cheer up my mood on such a rainy day. I was greeted by a male server. He was serving the restaurant by himself. He was great at multitasking and keeping smiles on our faces on such a dreary day before elections. His customers including myself enjoyed his sense of humor. For a George Webb's, this is one of the best locations I've been to. It was super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I went around 1 in the afternoon and it was really busy! I love sitting at the rail and getting that classic diner feel. I got the super George combo w/hashbrowns like I always do and it was a perfect lunch. If you are looking for a quality George Webb's location, this is it! If Waukesha is too far for you, Brookfield has another great location! read more

I order from George Webb at least once a week and rarely have an issue; however, this is the second time I've ordered the All-American via Uber eats and you forgot the hash browns. In the tops I stated this was one of the best Webb's around. Almost 7 months later, I still think it is one of the best. I am a big fan of George Webb, but this restaurant gives a somewhat poor representation of the brand. The restaurant seems somewhat run down, and given the amount of time some of the shadier looking characters spend in the restroom I got the impression that they were doing drugs in there. The menu is more limited than some of the other George Webbs (no unsweetened ice tea) and it wasn't really what I had hoped for, but it is still one of the only places in the area that's open 24x7 and serves breakfast 24 hours per day. Nevertheless I got the impression that I was in a seedy cafe in a poor part of town. I will probably go back, but only because there is no better alternative for fast, cheap 24-hour-a-day food on this side of town. read more

Our server was missy. She has great service and was very friendly and attentive to her tables. Our food came out in a timely manner and it tasted good. The reason I gave it only a three star rating is because I went into the bathroom and saw the most disgusting thing in the sink. There were four of us: three adults (my cousin, my husband and myself) and my toddler son. We came in around 5pm; we were the second table in the place at the time. We ordered breakfast, two waters and a Sprecher root beer. We received our drinks and a few minutes later the server asked how everything was. We thought that was odd but brushed it off. I noticed there were still plastic ramekin lids and other garbage on the floor under our table. My husband and I ordered the Big Webb Breakfast, my cousin ordered an omelette meal and my son ordered a Kid's breakfast meal. We requested bacon for the meat for all four meals. The bacon came out so overdone it fell apart as I picked it up. It was as thin as tissue paper, too. The cook came out and asked us how the food was, EVEN ADMITTING THE BACON WAS OVERDONE. My husband spoke up and said the bacon was too well done - BUT THE COOK NEVER OFFERED TO BRING HIM A NEW SIDE OF BACON. The server asked us what kind of toast we wanted with our meals - all four meals - and we answered. Apparently the toast was extra and we were charged for it, NEVER BEING TOLD it wasn't included in the price of the meal. How many people quickly glance through a menu before ordering? Customers typically don't memorize what all comes with their meal! When the check came my husband was furious. The service was awful, the food wasn't all that phenomenal, and no one offered to fix anything that was wrong. The server was going to initially take the toast off the bill since it was her mistake for not speaking up, but the cook was actually the one who explained that we still needed to pay for it. He claimed that "his hands were tied" and that the manager wouldn't be in until tomorrow. He then walked away from us without listening to my husband ask why it couldn't be fixed. We were then charged over $40 for our meals: again, three adult breakfasts and a kids' meal. The cook (who rang us up) eventually fixed the price, but we still paid for the toast. I promise you this, we will NEVER go to that George Webb ever again. I once learned that if you have a good experience at a restaurant you tell one person. I stopped for lunch here today as it was one of very few places open. This review has nothing to do with the food, as it was fine. As I was waiting at the register area to pay, what I saw in the kitchen (which was open to plain sight) was appalling. The fellow doing the cooking and using his hands to put food on people's plates and also touching raw meat was not wearing gloves. In the span of a couple of minutes I saw him grab pickles, handfuls of french fries, putting hamburger patties on the grill, handling toast, etc., all without wearing gloves or even washing his hands after touching the raw meat! When I asked the waitress on duty if this was their regular practice, she couldn't give me an answer and just sort of shrugged her shoulders. I stopped going to this George Webbs last year but when I heard it was under new ownership I decided to stop in Sunday for breakfast. The place is spotless! The food and service were great. I was able to meet the new owners while I was there. Great people! I wish them much success! I'm glad it's up and running again. They will be seeing a lot more of me. read more
