Sometimes you are just craving a burger and don't want to go to a chain place. Well, when I went to George's I had that craving. I went to George's while I was out walk and had that familiar craving. I am a huge burger fan, so anytime I can try a home in the wall place and maybe find something good I will. I'd give this place 3 Stars and that is not a bad thing as fast food places can rarely rank 3 Stars. At this unassuming location, with a giant faded sign you can get a decent burger. I got a BBQ burger, add bacon and a side of fries. It's not some monsterous burger and this isn't a hipster place with truffle fries and different types of aoli. The BBQ sauce was ok and rather mild for my taste. The some of the fries seemed a touch overcooked and they were not just freshly cooked. Not a big deal when you compare it to a lot of fast food restaurants where you only get fresh cooked if that's their hook or you get lucky. I don't really knock them for this because I know there are places I can go and spend more for 100% fresh fries but this is just a neighborhood walk up spot. I can also forgive the outside tables which werent thoroughly clean. I am gonna to come back any time I want a decent inexpensive non fancy burger and that's actually a good amount of the times I want a burger. If you live in the neighborhood they are definitely worth a try if you read my review and didn't have a problem. Let start off with the fact that this is a hamburger joint so SEASONED food is a MUST, but they very much lack in that area. One ingredient they seem to not have any knowledge of is SALT. Very disappointed with the lack of service & negative attitude of the employees. My husband placed our order, including mine which was a bacon breakfast burrito. When he went to pick up our food, he was presented with a steak burrito. He told a female employee that wasn't what he ordered, and she responded by saying "Well that's what we wrote!" and walked away before my husband could say anything. I would often drive past this place but I didn't give it much thought. This drive in looked more like a drive by to me and since it's not in the best part of town, i just kept driving- this happened for two years. That's until yesterday when I thought I'd give this place a chance. I ordered just the onion rings. It smelled pretty good actually and I barely locked my car before i decided to try one which turned into two or three. They were delicious. Of course i was back the next day for more onion rings and ordered their "regular burger" with cheese. Again, I was not disappointed. The prices were good. Just like anywhere else. They do charge $0.54 for credit or debit so bear that in mind. My biggest gripe is the location. Good food; poor location. Please do not go there at night, keep your windows rolled way up, and your car locked. Go when it's bright and early. Positive experience. I shall return! read more

At first I thought I broke my tooth and that this hard substance was a piece of my tooth. I came here three separate times to try from what I've been told are the three most famous items on the menu. I tried the pastrami sandwich the steak sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger. The pastrami sandwich was incredibly salty and the bread was soggy. Definitely not the best pastrami that I have had. The steak sandwich was not bad but the steak was way too chewy. In terms of the bacon cheeseburger the bacon was burnt and way too crispy. I pulled a piece off and I could break it into crumbles. It's one thing to have crispy bacon and another to have them burnt. The reason I'm even giving three stars is the burger was good once I took off the bacon. read more

Since I was kid I've always had a very basic order: BRC burrito with onions and hot sauce (which is how their BRC normally comes unless you request otherwise) because their house hot sauce is in my opinion the best thing on the menu. I've come here four times in the last year and every single time my order has been wrong. No hot sauce and onions every single time. I have specifically asked for it, I've asked for extra of it, the person who took my order has asked if I wanted it and I've said yes every single time...it doesn't matter what I say, I've come home every single time with no hot sauce or onions on my burrito and maybe it's me being picky but without onions and hot sauce, their BRC just isn't good to me. Today I asked for extra small hot sauce containers and got told no, I asked if I can pay for extra sauce containers and got told no and then watched another customer go up and ask for hot sauce and watched the staff get a styrofoam cup, fill it up and put foil over the top and hand it to them.
