    Chicken Noodle Soup...my favorite

I have been going here often lately. I wish I knew about it sooner. I love diners and family owned businesses. The food here is very good. I try to get something different each time I go and each time it was amazing. The service is always friendly, attentive, and pleasant. This place is always packed. You can tell a lot of the customers have been going there for years. They are only opened to 3pm, so go for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend them.

Love the classic vibes has an older breakfast joint vibe. Food is very delicious especially the french toast. Everything went so well together and complimented flavors. We ate it all lol . Server was very pleasant and nice. They all are very nice and friendly. Five stars very good

Stopped on our way through Cleveland... so glad we did. Traditional diner with warm service. Greeted with "hiya darlin" so you know the service is going to be good. Coffee cup was never low and food arrived in about 5 minutes. Strawberry pancake was to die for!

10/10 service! Employee's are extremely kind, food is freshly homemade (and amazing!). Environment gives a homey feel. Amazing place for a nice sunday brunch.

George's Super Special ($7.95): bacon, eggs, and pancakes -- on Tuesday, 25 April 2023

QUICK REVIEW -- Simple and delicious diner food. HUGE inside with plenty of room to sit including sitting at the counter. Quantity is average and similar to most diners (not too much and not too little food). The server Cindy was really nice and attentive (5/5 for Cindy). I first visited in April 2023 and then I visited again in July 2023, both times for breakfast. I've had their orange juice, french toast, omelets, tried their pancakes, eggs, and bacon combo (George's super special at $7.95). Their french toast is my favourite item on their menu and it is topped with powdered sugar. I certainly will be back as this is one of the most affordable restaurants in Cleveland that I've been to and it's very decent food. I recommend this local and small business. **** - 83/150 total reviews in 2023 - 634 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 9 November 2023

probably the best breakfast spot in cleveland, hometown diner with amazing pancakes and friendly service. minimal frills but if you're into a good greasy spoon place, this is the spot to go!

The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered the veal parmesan. I love a lot of sauce and for the first time going to a restaurant I didn't have to ask for extra. I also got beef barley soup and a side salad. It was just the right amount of food with a little left over. It's a cozy neighborhood restaurant that is a must try.

My fav!! Corn, beef Reuben sandwich 20/10 !!!

Best place to eat, the employees very nice and friendly... extremely recommend. I love everything from this place

We got the tostada and the biscuits and gravy. The tostada was a work of art! And bursting with flavor. The biscuits and gravy. Where to start? The biscuit was super flaky, moist, cut in half and filled with scrambled eggs that seemed to be layered. The whole thing was covered with a gravy, chock full of sausage and, perfectly cooked mushrooms. I got a sweet potato cinnamon bun to go. Can't wait to try that later today!

Both were delicious! The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. I licked my plate clean. The pancake was also wonderful. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. What we ate was decent, but honestly nothing that stuck with us enough to say- COME HERE! We definitely didn't understand all the good reviews when our food finally came out. They didn't even come out together and our second plate was wrong when it finally arrived so it had to get redone. So the service really got to us especially since there were only 2 other tables being waited on and a couple stragglers sitting at the bar. Parking is street parking in a neighborhood! So it can be hard during the day but we lucked out that evening.

We were totally fine with that, went and grabbed a coffee from a local shop, and then returned to the restaurant. Food was great and the server was so kind! The reason for the 3-star review is because the hostess was very rude. She completely shattered an easy 5-star review. We had nine people in the family, and one was golfing. We intended to put in a takeout order for him but due to the 45-minute wait, he ended up finishing before we were even seated. We invited him to come along and then we were called to be sat. We ordered his meal for him prior to him arriving and this was still a major problem for the hostess. She basically threatened to move us back outside and told us we were "holding the table" even though we would have never done that. Instead of giving me the opportunity to explain to her we would have done takeout anyways had he not arrived(but he did because again, it was a 45 minute wait), she just continued to talk over me. It made all of us very uncomfortable and the first 10 minutes we felt very on edge and unwelcomed. She then did the same thing to our ninth person when they walked in the restaurant 5 minutes after. He had no idea what had already occurred and was also caught off guard. Most of us worked in this industry in the past, and we thought we were doing the right thing by letting her know. Thank you to everyone else who helped soften our experience. It was very appreciated. Every person who brought a dish to our table was extremely kind. We all had something different on the menu and there were no complaints!

So for a grand total of $24.90, I got the Doris sandwich (a breakfast pork burger and egg sandwich) with added pickles and mixed greens, as well as an order of their famous cornmeal fries and a side of sunshine sauce. Everything was packaged fabulously in their iconic retro-diner style packaging and was still hot upon arrival. The buttery brioche bun was without a doubt, some of the best bread I've had in a while. I am marking my score down a mere half point as I wasn't huge on the signature egg and I would have liked an opportunity to opt for "light" sauce vs a standard amount of sauce on the food ordering app. The entire sandwich is gigantic and is definitely a diet killer. The cornmeal fries, which includes about 7 huge and filling fries, were so good! Definitely a must-order here. I ate a couple now and am saving the rest for later. I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

The bread was fresh and crusty, there were two small strips of tofu that had maybe been dribbled on by hoisin sauce at some point, some lettuce and jalapeño slices, and carrots. The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.
