One of the hidden gem of Carmel. Was looking for a different place to try for breakfast and George place was one of the top search place. Let me say first off food was great! Was already expecting it as there was tons of cars outside. Secondly service was impeccable staffs are apologizing for late service. Also ambiance is amazing a but small place but the place feels very homey. Breakfast burrito is to die for!! Tastiest and with tons of ingredients and vegetables. Ate half and was very full already. Their servings are not to much and not to small. Muffins are also very good, plus its not that sweet!

My husband and I stopped here on a Saturday morning, pretty early I would say so there was many tables available. We ordered two eggs, bacon, pancakes, a fruit cup, and Irish eggs Benedict. We ate everything! The portions were great, everything was so delicious, fruit cup was so fresh. The service was amazing, our server was so sweet and helpful. I'm sure parking on the street can be a pain if you come during a busy hour. I recommend this breakfast spot! Maybe I'll come back for lunch !

Came here for breakfast the other day. As usual everything was tasty and fresh. I had the eggs Benedict with crispy home fries and an orange juice. If you go on a Sunday get there before 930am if you want to beat the church crowd. The waitresses are very nice and pleasant. Just wish the specials were more visible then in the corner and you forget about them until after you order because the waitresses don't mention the specials.

A friend of our recommended George's Place so we took a ride to Carmel. We were lucky enough to get parking right in front. Street parking can be challenging. When we entered, we were told to choose a seat. We did so and a short time later, the waitress brought over the menu and took our drink orders. It was cold outside so both of us asked for coffee. And boy was the coffee was good! Looking at the extensive menu, there were a few extremely popular choices which were unbelievably reasonable. For example, I had the #2 which was three eggs, with home fries, toast AND unlimited coffee for $5.50. The hubby had the #3 which added meat (sausage links) for $7.45! When I saw the bill, I thought they had forgotten the coffees, but was told the coffee was included - unbelievable. Cost aside, the eggs, potatoes and toast were fine. Did I mention the coffee was good? And the service, that's another winner. Our waitress was so fast! As she ran to and fro, she made sure we were ok and wanted for nothing. I can clearly see this is a very popular place and for good reason. This place truly deserves a 4+, but misses the 5 because of the decor. A little outdated and clearly not a first date place. But we were happy and would gladly recommend this place for a nice breakfast that won't break the bank.

The place has a pretty view on the lake and trees. The food was fresh well served I got the egg Benedict it was amazing. I also get the sausage on the side which was very well. We also get the super breakfast which is also perfect. Coffe was great refillable. The waitress was nice with a beautiful smile and she take a good care of us her name is ELIZA I will give the place five in rating specially because of the view and freshness

Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

There's plenty of parking, a separate bar room and a large dining room with views down to the lake. Unfortunately building codes don't permit outdoor patio seating but grab a window table if you can (reservation required with request). More afraid of what I did not get especially the fish items. The sushi bar and the lobster as well as crawfish were screaming out " eat this and you will be in the emergency room in 20 minutes " All items were overcooked and dried out. The only food with Chinese seasoning was the Roast beef you cut yourself. You had part raw part med rare or well done. I knew it was going to be horrible because it was lime cutting a shoe to get a piece. I was right. Stuffed mushrooms 1/2 were sour 1/3 were buttery and weird. ShuMai awful. Instantly tasted rancid. I spit it in my hand and threw it out the window. Steamed pork bun had a tiny piece of pork meatball ins. It was very dry no flavor ( out the window) Kimchi loaded with sugar Eggplant loaded with sugar we'd loaded with sugar Stuffed mussels load with sugar. Everything was sweet!! Why?? I left the phone in my car if you saw the food you would understand that this place will not remain open very long. The one and only item I would ever go back here for is the Hot and Sour soup. Probably the best within 20 miles. Very authentic. Restaurant is very big very clean. Staff was very odd and unfriendly. But I'm used to that. I loved the front as it's a little marketplace with souvenirs. (0/10) Dear fellow Americans Chinese food is not sweet!!! Kimchi is not Chinese and oysters are not dry and dark ( scary)

They were great, better than other places with very oily food and of course the closest one we have instead of going all the way in Danbury and Cortlandt. They have a lot of seafoods with sushi area. They also have some cold seafood, which I wish they also have Hot crabs and seafoods too! Their shrimp has flavor as well as the other seafoods they have, my favorite was the cheesy mussels! Yum! Went twice for it! They have some vegetables if you're vegetarian and of course some sushi and sashimi too! Some seasoned fruits, different salads as well are available. Paid almost $60 for Wednesday afternoon which we think is reasonable. Will be back! :)

We received our order super fast, and thought it tasted very good. So I'm surprised at the less-than-stellar reviews given for this diner, but then again, this place hasn't been reviewed very much, and certainly not very recently. Not sure when we would be in that area again, but we'd go back in a heartbeat.

So I thought my husband would enjoy it as well. I ordered my favorite, Benedict with a side order of fruit instead of the usual home fries. My husband on the other hand ordered eggs over easy with corn beef hash and hone fries. Both dishes were delicious. However, we did also order coffee, and both of us did not have refills. When the bill came, we were astounded to see that we were charged $3.50 per cup of coffee. Now, I don't know about you but I think that's an excessive amount for a regular diner cup of coffee. If I wanted a gourmet cup of coffee I wouldn't have minded paying that much. So, as a result of being charged an exorbitant amount for one measly little cup of coffee, which I didn't drink because it tasted burnt, is a bit ridiculous. Most Diners include coffee with your breakfast or for a lesser amount and refills are free. And for that reason, I give them a bad review.
