Salad bar and basic look of dining area
Victoria M.

Came in tonight to check out this place that is close to our hotel. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant was amazing. The staff was attentive and very pleasant. They have a salad bar that looked wonderful, but we had salad for lunch, so unfortunately I cannot review. It was definitely used by other customers and I only saw smiles. We ordered gardenia pizza that was thin crust DELISH! No soggy bottoms here and the sun dried tomatoes were a perfect edition to the pie. They have a full bar and many choice of wine as well. We did order the French onion soup and it was worth every penny. Our final guests had the lasagna- stated it was delicious, but they were underwhelmed on the garlic toast- said it lacked flavor:/ and their zucchini was bland with little seasoning. The prices were about what we are seeing in Fairbanks, so I would say they are a little high/reasonable, but the portions make up for that little more paid. We did see the Alfredo pasta and the lady told her group it was perfect. I would go back and maybe try the pasta or another lovely pizza again!

Halibut floratine delicious! Pepperoni pizza was great. Service was spot on. Lovely place!

Veal Marsala and beef ravioli.

Food- beef ravioli was on point! Very good red sauce and perfectly cooked ravioli. The veal Marsala was very bland and didn't look appetizing. Tasted more like veal in brown gravy. Decor was a bit all over the place and the atmosphere wasn't very cohesive. Service was friendly and adequate.

12" meatball pizza.

The service was quick, friendly and our server knew the menu items very well. The pizza was a hand-tossed style, a slight spicy sauce and meatballs. Overall, very good. We also got the one time trip to the salad bar, fresh, tasty and filling. They play classic cozy Italian music, which made the restaurant feel comfortable.

Geraldo's

Yesterday after sightseeing in Fairbanks Joanna and I ate dinner at Geraldo's. Joanna had deep fried halibut which was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Her dinner came with mashed potatoes, roasted zucchini and garlic bread. I had a seafood medley: clams, shrimp and halibut. Dinner included a trip to the salad bar. We loved our salads. Our server, Elle, was gracious and attentive. Also, the music was excellent: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Marvin Gaye and Tammy Tyrell; pleasant and relaxing background music, not blaring.

Halibut Florentine. Good flavor! Comes with salad bar also!

Food was very good! Overall good value. Our server was very good and attentive. Ambience was ok, but wouldn't keep me from coming back.

I hope you like Garlic because that's all you'll taste

The service and ambiance were fantastic; however, the pizza was the worst I've ever had. The restaurant was clean, decorated tastefully in an appropriate theme, and the server and hostess were fantastic. My son and I really wanted to like Geraldo's. We ordered a Margarita Pizza which had so much garlic that we couldn't taste any other ingredients. There wasn't any sauce on the pizza and there was an imperceptible amount of cheese. My son and I both commented to one another that we felt like we were eating bread heavily laced with garlic. We didn't finish the food, and they didn't ask how it was. We may try something other than pizza in the future, but we'll try other restaurants first.

Cold food, terrible waitress, and overpriced. What more can I say. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else!

Only thing they can cook well is the Stella. Chicken parm is soupy and the French onion soup is chewy.

Chicken fettuccine Alfredo was pretty good. Portions are pretty small and the salad bar sucked. The soup is better. Wouldn't come back.

Sourdough Thin Crust Pizza

Sourdough Thin Crust Pizza

Sourdough Thin Crust Pizza. 06.11.2025. This is a pizza stand in Pioneer Park in Fairbanks. Alaska…read more The stand offers about six different types of personal pan pizzas (I believe them to be 8"). I forgot to take a photo but I believe that they had the following on the menu: (1) plain pizza (2) pepperoni (3) meat lovers (4) BBQ Chicken (5) Buffalo Chicken and (6) Cheeseburger (which was sold out). We placed our order for one plain pizza ($11) and one meat lovers ($12) and two cans of soda ($1.50 each) and were given a buzzer that would summons us when the pizzas were ready in about 10-15 minutes. The pizzas were good enough, but we wouldn't rate them as exceptional. They reminded us of frozen pizzas that you could get at the grocery store to bake at home. We did especially like the garlic-infused thin sourdough crusts, and appreciate that they cut them into 8 pieces each that facilitated sharing. The girl at the counter was friendly, and accurately filled our order. The "ambiance" was the picnic tables in Pioneer Park. One note: we would've ordered a veggie pizza but none were offered on the menu. We did also find the pizzas to be somewhat expensive for the size provided and lack of a restaurant sit-down area. Also note that Pioneer Park does not charge admission so you can go directly to the pizza stand without added fees.

Awesome pizza! I'm from Chicago and have very high standard for pizza. The sauce was perfectly…read moretangy, the cheese was just right, enough but not too much. The pepperoni was perfectly cooked with crispy edges. Highly recommended! Very good! Thin, yummy and crispy crust too! And super friendly service!
