Second time for me today, this time was a little issue on my brand new 2026 Tesla. Last week on my day and old lady 71 hits my car and took off. Well to make a long story short, I got her information & photo id after chasing her into the shopping center. This week I decided to stop by Gerber and ask them how much it cost to fix my car. I didn't want to go through the lady insurance cause they will raise her fee. To my surprise Ryan took care of me in a matter of 20 minutes including waiting time with a free coffee in hand that they offered. I was already impressed overall with their work on my Toyota & customer service that they did last year for me. Today took the cherry on top of that sundae. Wanted to thank Gerber Collision and their rep Daniel Hernandez for possibly the most pleasant interaction I've ever had with the auto repair industry I really try to avoid it as much as possible, but after someone damaged my car recently, I had no choice. This location already came well recommended because a) my husband was happy with their work for a previous repair and b) our old school neighbor whose ran the neighborhood here in Highland since 1989 said everyone on the surrounding two blocks recommends this shop. So I was already confident going in, but Daniel definitely went above and beyond. He was professional, courteous, and most importantly, worked with honesty and integrity from beginning to finish. I had a bit of a complex case, the other driver wanted to avoid insurance (which is why I got the out of pocket quote), but he wanted to pay the shop directly. Fine, understandable, but also it seems like that's an odd request. Whatever the case, Daniel even made himself available to speak to the other guy to answer any questions he had. Which paid off because he worked his magic and by the time he got off the phone, he'd already secured payment from the other guy for the repair of my car. Now I got lucky, not just because Daniel was willing to take all steps necessary to complete the repair, but because the other guy wasn't a flake. But I just want to highlight and illustrate how great Daniel made this experience for me, which I really dreaded having to deal with. Not only that, but when he saw very light additional damage to another parts of the bumper, he was able to accommodate that within the original quote, and he even made sure to get my tire alignment checked/corrected to ensure a full repair from the incident. Truly, this is the spot, and if you've been avoiding it (like I did for a couple weeks even though the damage was pretty unsightly), just go get a quote. You may find that it's less painful and more manageable than you think, and Daniel will def take care of you. read more

On 2/24/25 went to get an estimate on the damage of my car, this is who my insurance sent me to. Upon arriving they came out and inspected my car and asked me that if I was going to leave it for repairs, I told him not at this time, that I would like to get the estimate first and that my insurance said I have a year to come back and fix it because I did not have my deductible. He told me they would give the photos that they took to the person who was going to write the estimate and get back to me tomorrow, tomorrow came and went and nothing, I called the next day and asked, and the secretary said they were having technical difficulties and that they would get back to me the next day, again I called the next day and got the same story that they are having technical difficulties and they would get back to me the next day. It has now been three days and still nothing, I would not recommend this place because I feel they're being shady all because I said that I did not want to leave my car at this time. I do not recommend this place, take your vehicle to get it repaired elsewhere. read more

Horrible service. Had an appointment for 3pm checked in at 3:03pm there was 2 parties a head of me. 5 more parties walked in after me, the first 2 leave. Vivian informed me I would be helped within the next couple mins (10-15). 4 more parties leave..... it's now 4:19. Something is NOTICEABLY starting to not add up now. I ask the front desk lady what the eta of them giving me a quote that should only take 15mins to do was. She was confused. I hear one of the quote mechanics inquire about my car asking if it was still coming in today... which clearly implies the FRONT DESK lady is INCOMPETENT!! I then tell him I've been here for an hour & he gets someone right on it! Must've not been Vivian's day today. Maybe she needs a day off or something. She's super sweet tho! Sorry Viv. Then after I dropped off my car, they gave me a ride home and a guy named Elliot drop me off. He was so sweet and great conversation they communicated the whole time and explained all the repairs that were happening. They gave me a five day quote and on the fourth day I got a call from Ryan saying that my car was done when I got it back it was so clean and you couldn't even tell where I was hit. My rental arrangements were set up for me, and upon turning my car in, I just left it at their yard to handle on my behalf. They used both text and phone calls to keep up to date with communication. My experience with Gerber was Excellent in every way. 1. The work was done to perfection 2. It was completed in 5 days instead of the 7 projected. 3. there was a small chip on rear panel that was not part of the accident or repair, that they fixed for free. 4. The estimator pointed out the driver's side sun visor was broken. I told it had been like that for a couple of years and the repair at the dealership was too expensive. He said let me see what I can do and he jury rigged a fix, also for free. 5. These people are just great. read more

After my accident, a friend referred me to Gerber Collision & Glass. I contacted the insurance and since Gerber is on their vendor's list, I got the okay to schedule for the appointment. When I got there, I was greeted with a warm welcome from Ernie and the receptionist. The insurance company had forwarded all the necessary information to them so they have all my paperwork ready for my review and signature. Ernie with his warm personality, friendly, and great attitude makes me feel so much better handing over the key. I really like the daily text updates with the status and estimates of my car. Some of the parts for the car had to be back ordered from the dealership (it could take weeks/months). Ernie was able to find the parts from a vendor in LA so a team member had to drive there to pick it up. My car finally finished and it looks amazing. They were able to match the paint perfectly. Another best thing was that I could drop off the rental car with them. Overall, I am 100% satisfied with the work and definitely will refer Gerber to family and friends. read more

Our insurance company sent us here, we are not happy with the referral. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable and friendly but that's the only good thing I can say about my experience. The vehicle we needed repairs on is my husbands commute car and we really needed to know how long repairs would take to decide if a rental was worth the extra expense, I asked each person I spoke to and they said I would be informed on the next step, never got an an answer. When I went for the initial estimate I told them I had to wait outside because the battery wasn't working after the accident, I had to keep the car running. The estimator came out, did not acknowledge my presence and started working. I told him the battery was fine before the accident, he didn't acknowledge me. Told me he would email the estimate, never did. Took the car back to drop off, again had to wait outside because of the battery. Told the gentleman who took the car back the battery worked fine before the accident, he said something about looking at the car later. Was told by the front desk we would get Tuesday and Thursday updates, got one call the whole time they had the car, my husband was at work and couldn't take the call right then, when he called back Fernando's voicemail was full. Every other call was made by me. When we complained the battery wasn't fixed when we got the car back the said the battery was visually fine, no testing was done. The repair looks good but we still can't drive the car. If you would like to know the progress of your repair don't bring your car here. read more

I never leave reviews unless something is absolutely amazing or very very rarely just plain horrible, so you know this is important. Some worker called me today on the phone and was making up a lie saying he spoke with me earlier this morning but we never spoke before, I only called and spoke to a different and kinder individual a couple minutes earlier at 4:36pm. But this worker calling me that lied, he was very rude and short with me on the phone like he was in a rush to clock out because it was 4:50pm and their shop's closing time is 5:00pm. He should know that customer service is number one priority just as my family and I are all healthcare workers and we know that patient/customer service should be the ultimate priority, that means staying late and not being rude even if you've had a hard day. I am very unhappy with that individual and I hope it doesn't reflect the company as a whole as I do need to get work done on my vehicle there. read more
