Got some bánh xèo to go. Still a nice family affair place. Staff here are nice, friendly and helpful. The foods are quite good and tasty and generous portions (in this case, veggies). Plenty of parking and inside are clean and well kept overall. Still warm and tasting once unpacked and very tasty good.
Y'alls I was skeptical to walk in at first because I thought the place was run down with everything covered up and the next door under construction and tables were empty LOL. But it got better! The place became packed around 7pm. I came here after seeing Banh Xeo photos on Yelp. It's like the trendy Banh Xeo Taco. I like how they came in 4 sharable pieces, and every table actually ordered them. It seems like a lot of food but the Banh Xeo was stuffed with lots of bean sprouts to look puffy. I also didn't like the fish sauce here. It wasn't sweet like other places. I saw that they offer comp tea, and thought it was just a regular iced tea. My first sip surprised me with the sweet pandan flavor. Although the tea was a little watery, I still really like anything pandan. I later saw a sign at the front that says "free nuoc mat" and googled it up. The tea is actually an artichoke+pandan tea.
We were planning to eat chao đem 2 weeks ago, but it was packed, and since this place was still open, we decided to give it a try. The place is small in a corner, L shaped so it feel tight. When we arrived, they automatically give us the herbal tea for free. The price is reasonable compared to the surrounding restaurant. We ordered mi Quang and banh xeo. I like the mi Quang flavor but the chicken in mi Quang doesn't felt authentic to me. The banh xeo come in 4 smaller size with rice paper to wrap so it is a plus. Little oily and filled with a little too much beansprout. Overall, I would definitely coming back.
My favorite place for banh beo. I highly recommend the dry version with just shrimp. The texture isnt too soggy or too dry. It is well balanced. The plaza has plenty of parking. Do not park in front of the door as there are many accidents happened because of the narrow space, just park on the side
Was looking to grab some quick Viet food during lunch in Garden Grove. I found Tiem Mi Quon to be highly recommended on Yelp so I dropped in. They were full when I came in but they quickly got me seated as soon as they could clean a table. It was nice inside, and I was quickly offered a Vietnamese herbal tea (Nuoc Mat) free of charge. I ordered the Mi Quon dac biet, which is their combination bowl of Mi Quang, which consists of a small amount of rich aromatic broth with tons of turmeric rice noodles, pork, chicken, shrimp, quail eggs, and rice crackers. It also comes with tons of veggies which I think are unique to central Vietnamese noodle dishes like mi quang and bun bo hue. My food and drink came out very fast and fresh. I added all of the herbs as well as some of the pickled peppers and sa te (chili oil) which was on the table. Combined with their broth, I ended up with a very savory and flavorful bowl. The noodles, which I believe they make in house, offer a light tenderness characteristic of a rice noodle, but also an aromatic sweetness from the turmeric that gives them their yellow color. All of the meats were very tender and flavorful and portion-wise quite generous for the price. The herbs/veggies were also all super fresh and balanced out the richness of the dish perfectly. Their Mi Quon makes for a very good lunch for the price. I was interested in their banh xeo as well but decided I'd save it for visiting a favorite spot like Quan Mii in Westminster. Definitely come to Tiem Mi Quon for their Mi Quang though, some of the best I've had in OC!

I went with one other person and we shared their banh beo and each got the banh xeo dac biet. The banh beo was good and their fish sauce was done just right. The dac biet banh xeo came out as 4 which I liked. It was easier to eat than other places. It definitely was delicious and fried perfectly crispy. Yum! We also got some of their complementary ngoc mat which was also good. The people that worked here are quick and helpful. I like how everything is provided at the table. Pricing is also very affordable and lower than other banh xeo places. I will definitely be back.

I really liked that it came with four small ones instead of just one big one! It made it a lot easier to break up and eat. The veggies they came with were fresh and plentiful. I didn't even come that hungry but I ate the whole thing by myself. It was so crispy, flavorful, and delicious! I would definitely come back!
My husband and I I really enjoyed the food here. The service was great and the staff was very kind. It's a chill and quiet place, just wish there was air conditioning. I appreciated that everything tasted freshly prepared especially the chicken. Comes with a big plate of fresh vegetables on the side to add to our bowls which really complimented the food and I also really liked. Also comes with complimentary tea which was really refreshing. We will most likely be returning for another lunch date!

The lemon added a nice citrusy taste, and I added a bit of chili oil for spice. The chicken was well salted and nicely flavored. I also enjoyed the fried rice paper for extra crispness and all the veggies I added for crunch and freshness. The broth was good and not too salty. It could use a little more flavor, but it was still solid overall. Banh Xeo (7/10) - The order came with four small banh xeo. They were not super crispy, but I liked that they were served with rice paper, plenty of veggies, and nuoc mam for dipping. Wrapped together, everything tasted really good. Drink: they automatically give you sweet tea instead of water. it was pretty good because it wasn't too sweet and was refreshing Service: Service was pretty standard, and the food came out quickly Ambiance: A nice, cozy Vietnamese restaurant with a small and casual vibe. A great stop for a casual meal.

Decided to give this place a try after always passing by in garden grove! I don't ever eat Mi Quang often so I was excited to try. We got the Mi Quang Dac Biet for $14.95 and it was delicious! The meat was super tender, the shrimp head was still on and omg so juicy and good. Overall the entire dish was super flavorful. They also provide complimentary nuoc mat! The aunties that sat next to us even said that this place did the dish well. So I think that's pretty credible haha. Would 100% come again, super underrated place. This restaurant is one of the reasons I'm proud to be Viet!
Service is so fast here! As soon as you are seated, iced tea is ready for you. I got the đặc biệt and the bowl is so well worth the price. There's handmade meatballs, meat on bone with marrow, and many cuts of meat. It comes with a very generous plate of herbs to add. I also enjoy that there are hot peppers and chili already on the table. Bathroom was clean. Parking was easy as it shares with the plaza.
Overall everything was delicious! Got the banh xeo dac biet and mi quon dac biet. I liked that the banh xeo came in four separate ones which meant more crispy delicious edges. The mi quon was also yummy. Would gladly get either again or try new things. Service is really fast and the restaurant isn't very busy so there wasn't a long wait. Overall has a calm atmosphere. Okay can tell this place is great just by walking in here, seeing all the locals, and how quickly the service is. It's not the most friendly place, but that's when you know it's good. Very reasonable prices for the meal! I like how you get complementary drinks with the meal, you get a nice cold herbal tea, which goes so well with the meal. What really stood out for me was how crispy the bun xèo is. i've never had it so crispy, and it taste like a premium spring roll when wrapped in spring roll paper with all these unique leaves and meat. To my surprise, I also really enjoyed the noodles, the mi quon noodles were really addicting, they look freshly cut and were so bouncy and flavorful. Banh beo hue was okay. I enjoy when there is a bit of crisp or crunch topping, but I didn't get that with this one. read more

This is a hole in the wall spot that I've passed by for YEARS, but never tried until now, and I'm mad I didn't try it earlier because this place is legit!! Specializing in Mi Quang (one of my fav unknown viet dishes) and Banh xeo, they really nail everything here. The menu is short is sweet, so you know the food is gonna be bomb.com Banh beo- a popular steamed rice appetizer, this was sooo good. The presentation is great, but the nuoc mam was even better. It had this depth of flavor and when added to the Banh beo, it just made it soooo addicting, what a great start Banh Xeo- 100/10 it comes in 4, and they make it smaller than most places BUT it's super crispy and they give you rice paper to roll it up as spring rolls! I'm used to the lettuce wraps and never had them as spring rolls, but now I can't imagine not eating them as spring rolls! the flavor and texture of the crepe was amazing and we absolutely housed this dish. Mi Quang - 9/10, also a fantastic dish. The noodles tasted like they were house made and the soup was delicious. Usually some places have a thicker sauce and barely add soup, but here they focused more on the soup, which I ended up liking more! We are here for the 1st time, at 5pm the place is empty, we ordered Mì Quon, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Mam, the taste is so bad, not like the original from real Vietnamese foods. We will not come back. read more
Alright, think I found my new go to place for mi Quang and banh xeo ! Brought my grandma and mom with me, they both approve too. The servers were sweet too. You get free nuoc mat with your meal. Glad this place improved and I had a chance to come back to try it again. Would like to add on that their nuoc mam got better read more
I was surprised because I pass by this place so many times and it's usually rather empty and doesnt look appealing from the outside but I enjoyed the banh xeo and that it came in smaller personal sized versions that you can share rather than the big size other places have. The egg rolls were thick and crispy and the egg noodles were soft and chewy but I wish it had more flavor. I think they have more online orders rather than dine in Ig:@rachiesayang read more

Food is good. Only negative is seeing our server wear latex gloves to bus tables with a dirty rag then serve our food with same gloves. We think she wears the gloves to keep her hands clean only. Please just wash your hands without gloves while serving your guests. read more

The portion is huge ! Packed with all different proteins. I love that they left the shrimps head-on to reserve that shrimp butter flavor :) the crackers are still crunchy and fresh. Those little details that i always look out for and they nail it all. I love the flavor here and the little soup was served warm (original mi quang serve room temp which i dont like) Service: always good. They always welcome with warmth and check on me for refills (yes the nuoc mat is free) They definitely deserve more attention and i highly recommend this place :) read more

We ordered mi quang special and banh beo quang uot. Both excellent. Generous portions, enough for two people and left us feeling nourished. I loved the variety of protein. Shrimp heads left on and was super flavorful. Soup was not oily and refreshing. We will be back! Come here!! read more

We stopped by on Friday noon on 1/16. This is our first time and we really enjoyed our foods. We ordered: mì quởn, bánh bèo đặc biệt và bánh xèo đặc biệt. They all so good! Highly recommended we definitely come back often! read more
Definitely a small hole in the wall type vibe, don't let the rating fool you--this place serves pretty authentic Vietnamese food. I came by on a weeknight craving some Bánh xèo, and we also ordered the Bánh bèo and the mi quon, which they're known for. The Bánh bèo was delicious--you scrape the paste off the little dishes, add some sauce, and it's perfect. The Bánh xèo here is the smaller, regional version, and it was the best thing I ate--crispy, coconutty, and so good when wrapped with the veggies and rice paper they provide. The Mi Quon dac biet noodles are made in-house, and they even have a video showing the process. The noodles were good, though I thought they were a bit soggy, but it was my first time trying them, so maybe that's how they're supposed to be. They came topped with chicken, pork, and shrimp, and there wasn't much broth in the dish. Overall, I had a great meal. The service was quick, and though they mainly spoke Vietnamese (which I don't), they understood me pretty well. read more

Small Vietnamese spot with really good food -- I thought the presentation and quality were great. They give you complimentary tea too, which I loved. Definitely one of those places I'd come back to and try everything on the menu. It's in the same plaza as Ced Coffee. Can't wait to bring my family and friends here. read more

So glad to discover this new Vietnamese restaurant. Based on the name, they are known for the mi quang (or mi quon), but I personally like their banh xeo. Banh xeo dac biet comes with 4 banh xeo, enough to share for 2 people. Banh xeo has pork, shrimp, squid, bean sprout, and mushroom. The dipping sauce was great and they gave so much fresh veggies. Can easily make 2-3 spring rolls with each banh xeo. It is so good and crispy. The banh xeo here is way better than Quan Mii for sure: better taste, better price, and more quantity. The bun bo hue was pretty good too. Their mi quang (yellow noodles) was ok for me. I think they didn't give me enough broth or the noodles absorbed all of the broth so there was nothing left at the bottom. The first few bites were great though and very flavorful chicken, pork, and shrimp. read more
They specialize in Mi Quon, so definitely get that when you visit. Negatives: -maybe the size of the restaurant is a little small, but I'm not gonna knock off points for that. Positives: -taste, probably the best mi quon I've had so far 5/5 the banh xeo was really good too, extra crispy and they give you 4 small ones versus 1 big one like quan mi. That actually helps it come out crispier without the extra soggy oil at the bottom like quan mi. -price, very reasonable in this terrible economy. If nothing changes, we'll definitely be back. -service, they sat us quickly and responded to all our requests. No complaints here. Overall 5/5, we'll definitely be back to try the bun bo que and the banh beo uot. read more

Layout is small, food was so mid for its price ($15). The noodles were pretty al dente and I didn't like the texture of the noodles. Not my favorite, but maybe the other dishes might taste better. I also wish the shrimp was pre-peeled. Service was friendly and fast though! read more
