My new all time favorite mi spot! Hands down. The restaurant is really spacious and they open early. The service is standard for Vietnamese restaurants--you get your needs met and they're cordial. The noodles is truly where this restaurant shines. Both the dry and soup noodles are delicious. You can't go wrong with either but I do prefer the dry noodles. The sauce is really flavorful. I always get a large side of wontons as well. It comes with soup. My kids enjoy the soup noodles very much. It's loaded with protein too--shrimp, pork, squid, wontons, fish ball. Just my POV since I lived in DaKao district t in VN and I ate literally 90% of all the egg noodle places in that district and when I saw this place...I was so hype to see if they can relive my memories. Unfortunately it didn't...BUT it's good in their own way. The place share a parking lot with other shops so it can be busy at time or abit long walk to it. I came for dinner and they're cleaning the floor with Clorox so it just abit strong to go in to each and abit slippery - BUT they do have signs and couple people sitting and reminded you about the wet area. The menu is good and plenty of varies type of noodles and other dishes. I ordered combination dried one. Service is good, just abit pushy feels like since they just drop the menu and within 15-20seconds they came and ready to take order...I was not and he just stand there & waited til I'm ready. Quick turnaround and portion is nice. Noodle is okey, just not chewy and felt like overcooked. Topping is great & generous. The sauce is okey, not too depth nor tasty. The broth is nice and good. All the good Vietnamese food can be found in the Santa Ana area and even if it's an hour drive, it's worth it. This has some of the best dry noodle bowl that I have had. I don't know what the dish is called but it's a dry noodle mix with seafood, wonton, squid, and this crispy pork bits on top. When you mix everything, it's quite tasty. There's enough flavoring and I personally dont think you need to add any additional sauce to it but that's just me. I highly recommend you order any of the teas that they offer. I got the lychee tea and it was quite refreshing. Also you should end it with black sesame che as a dessert. My brother and sis in law took my mom and I here to eat for lunch. The parking spot area is pretty small; a little hard to find a parking spot. The place itself is not that big, and decent size. It seems to be a family own restaurant. I ordered the number 32, I forgot what it's called but it came with egg noodles, meat, and a bunch of seafood. They also gave you a bowl of broth so it's not so dry. When I took a bite of the food, it was delicious! It was a mix of savory, sweet, and salty. The flavor was perfect! It's actually Chinese Noodle House "DAKAO MY VI" 8851 Garden Grove Blvd., Suite 115 Garden Grove, CA I found this place by chance and read the reviews and thought we should try them and we were not disappointed. This is a family owned restaurant with about 15 tables, but it spacious. The service was average. We both had the number one special noodles (see pictures). The noodle bowls consisted of seafoods nice big shrimps, sliced pork, crispy pork fat, squid, and their special sauce. It was so tasty, we could taste the fresh egg noodles. I went to this place today since I was in the mood for Vietnamese noodles and wanted to expand my list of restaurants that serves hu tieu and egg noodles. I ordered the #32 which was a combination of both, it had lots of goodies since as wontons, shrimp, fish ball with fish roe inside, pork, liver and squid. I ordered an extra bowl of those crunchy yummy pieces of pork fatty bits which I love. They were very generous with the quantity you get. The broth is very clean tasting and delicious. Came here around 2pm on Thursday for a work lunch, plenty of parking. I end up ordering #32 mi sui cao thap cam. I didn't realize sui cao is basically wonton but with shrimp in it. When it came out, I was really surprised how big it was. Lots of meat and noodles, they don't skimp on the portion. The noodle had a nice chewy texture, the sauce was really good and flavorful and the sui cao was tasty. I love how it comes with the fried fat, crispy and flavorful. I think found my new favorites place for mi kho. I think dakao my vi is a lot better than most places in Westminster and less pack. I'm definitely coming back here for the mi kho. read more

Vouched for by a viet friend, this place has really authentic noodles with great flavor. Seems like it's relatively new. The soup that comes with it is nice. Friendly service, lots of seating, the parking lot can be very busy at night since it's small. We heard that it was good from a few people but the moment we walked in, the owner was on her phone the entire time not doing a single thing or let alone paying attention to her customers. We haven't had Mi Vit Tiem (duck noodle soup) in awhile and this place really hit the spot! Ordered to-go and ate it after ~2 hours or so and it still was bomb after reheating. The duck was packaged with the broth so it wasn't crispy but it sure was flavorful and moist. If there was an option to have it crunchy, that would be helpful and may appeal to a wider audience. The broth was flavorful and there was a lot of garlic chunks, unlike most Mi Viet Tiems we've had. The portion was generous and there was a good amount of vegetables. Would definitely come back again! 3.5612 stars I lunched here on a Thursday and it was pretty busy with a bustling lunch crowd. I ordered the #1 ($12.99) which is one of their specialties. It's the house special dry egg noodles tossed with oyster sauce and topped with bbq pork, heart, liver, shrimp, squid, and one singular fish ball. The noodles were as advertised: egg noodles tossed with oyster sauce. The bbq pork, heart, liver, shrimp, etc. were just protein add-ons with nothing especially notable about them. I did, however, enjoy the tiny deep fried pork fat bits. Otherwise, these were just regular ole egg noodles that heavily relied on the oyster sauce for flavor. My parents ordered both the crispy and soft versions of the mì xào thập cẩm ($14.99). The stir fried noodles come with pork, liver, shrimp, squid, imitation crab, fish balls, greens, and carrots. This dish was comparably much better! The sauce had a lot of flavor and perfectly coated all the noodles. The medley of protein made a lot of sense in this dish with both the imitation crab and greens being phenomenal vessels to catch all the sauce. Small place with 12 tables on garden Grove Blvd in Koreatown. Parking was easy. We ordered Mi Xao Thap Cam $16 and Mi Do Bien $14, both served with a nice, clean, tasty broth, not too thick or overspiced like others. Mi Xao had pork, shrimp, squid, liver ect in a very tasty, savory sauce along with a cup of tasty broth. The noodle was harder than usual, like not cooked through. But I liked the dish and wished it was 50% bigger like Hung My Vi. Mi Do Bien had 2 large shrimp, squid, fish with that nice broth. Young waiters were way too polite, exceeding our expectation. Pretty traditional and reasonable price The house special noodle bowl comes with different cuts of pork, pork hearts , shrimp and fried pork lards.+ clear soup broth served along with it. To give it an extra add the picked jalapeño to your noodles along with some bean fresh or steamed sprouts. Mixed well and enjoy its really good taste. Pork Kidney Noodle Soup were tasty. I apologize for my bad photo but the photo does not do it justice. This is probably one of the few places that actually sell fish maw soup. For those who don't know what it is, If I have to describe it, it's like an egg drop soup with these clear chewy but crunchy jellies. It's quite expensive to get these! I wanted to try this out because they had opened quite recently and my parents heard great things about it. It's located on Garden Grove Blvd in the plaza behind Hmart, with a good amount of parking even on the weekends. I had the mì hoành thánh khô, which came with a plate of veggies and bean sprouts, and a small bowl of broth. It came out pretty quickly and had a great presentation. The taste was great, and the wontons were soft and full of juicy meat. The portion sizes were great, so this is something good to share. Be sure to dress your noodles up with tons of chili oil and pickled peppers, they really pair well with the noodles. The service was great, and I found that the staff was super friendly throughout my time here. A small downside is that they do charge for water, so be prepared for that! Stopped in for lunch. Lots of parking although we were startled by a homeless person sleeping right outside the restaurant. Once we walked in we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. The interior was simple but clean and there were a few customers already eating what looked delicious. The waiter was friendly and took our order but I don't know how well he understood english because we never got our order of dumplings. Another staff member came out to verify our order of noodles and aside for the forgotten dumplings, which we didn't ask about, our order was accurate.
