Craving a sandwich so I decided to try this place out, firstly the place looked super clean and people were welcoming me with a smile which was nice. I tried the Howdy, the sauce stood out to me it was like a sweet bbq type flavor, I'll definitely ask for extra when I go again. I had a plan. I was going to try the Melrose first, then try the Uncle Nikki next time. The Melrose was sooooooo gooood, that I "tried" it the next time too. The ingredients were fresh, the bread is a delicious balance of sweet and "bready", and they portions are amble size. Definitely worth the price and tip. My only tip is that the pepperchinis can be a bit spicy, so skip them if you don't like the spice. My sandwich was made quickly and the staff was awesome! We stopped in last week for a quick lunch on our way to Hollywood. The online ordering system is super convenient, intuitive, and easy to understand. The pickup process was easy. We were greeted when we walked in and they had our sandwiches ready for us. The staff were very polite and friendly in our short interaction. The ambiance is very simple, but ideal for a quick bite if you choose to dine-in with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking was easy. The star of this place is the food, the sandwiches were some of the best we've ever had. I ordered the Veg Out and my boyfriend got the Tuna. The Dutch crunch bread is delicious and they did not skimp at all on the ingredients. We scarfed our food down so quick we forgot to take any photos. Due to work I had my sandwich a little cold so the bread wasn't the best but the sandwich overall was very tasty. Coworkers had the BLAST, Tornado, the Tuna, and the Fire one and they all loved their respective sandwich. The employees were very helpful and were able to set up my order in advance for the fresh pickup. The only thing is parking isn't easy. Had to leave my car waiting for the pickup in not a best spot. I ordered sandwiches through the website from the Toluca Lake location and specifically selected delivery. Somehow, the order defaulted to pick-up without my knowledge. When I called to explain, I spoke with Jerrod, who didn't offer any solutions and instead asked if someone could pick up the order. I'd chosen delivery for a reason--no one was available to pick it up. Frustratingly, Jerrod kept calling me "Bro" and didn't seem interested in helping me resolve the issue. I was left with no sandwiches, but my card was still charged for the order and tip. I'd expect better service and support, especially since I paid for the full experience, including delivery. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the online ordering system and the customer service experience. read more

Sandwich was good--good enough to get again if I'm nearby and want a sandwich. But I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat here again. Still, there's another sandwich in the menu I kind of want to try, so I plan to be back. I saw the other review where the owner cusses at the reviewer; it's... not a good look. I get that some customers/reviewers are a hassle, but considering I found this place on yelp, I don't think seeing the owner go off on someone is the best way to advertise. Wow! Hands down the BEST sub sandwich I've had in years!!! Ordered the Uncle Nikki and it did not disappoint. The bread had a nice texture and the ratio of dressing, spread and fixin's made for a flavor explosion. A Large was enough to share because my stomach said so, but the flavors were so good that I selfishly wanted to be alone with the whole sandwich. Ghost sando was good! I got a build your own hot sandwich and it was delicious but it was super pricey. $22 for a sandwich (no chips or soda). It lasted me 2 meals though which was nice, however, the parking situation in this area is HORRIBLE. I was lucky enough to find street parking but it took a couple loops around the area to find someone leaving. I theres not much space to sit down and its small inside. I walk in and it immediately smells like burnt bread. The service was also mediocre with the staff not being friendly. I did enjoy the food though but parking, price, and unfriendly staff knock it down a bit. read more

Whats off putting and deceiving is when this store has the door locked when picking up an order during business hours. Visited on 9/5/24. So happy to find a place that serves sandwiches on Dutch Crunch. The best bread ever. Build your own turkey sub was great. My only complaint was the soda machine was not great. I think they have the ratios off on soda water to syrup. Both the Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper were undrinkable. If that can get fixed this place will become a frequent stop for me. read more
