Needed a sandwich spot to try out and I found them on yelp. The area has a lot of parking and a lot of seating so no issues there The service was great and our cashier was super nice. They also brought out the food to us which was appreciated. The location is pretty cool and surrounded by cafes and food spots so if you have time just walk around and enjoy lively burbank Now on to the food. Great prices for how BIG the sandwiches are. They taste delicious, are affordable and packed nicely. Seriously one of the best sandwiches iv had in a while. We got a santa monica large ( $16) and an uncle nikki large ($16). We also got a fountain drink and a smart water which ended up at around $45 (tip included) Everything was great and i took a picture of the sandwiches next to an iphone 15 pro max so you can have an idea of the size. I remember seeing this place open up a little bit ago. I don't live far from it, but I don't go in the area a lot. But every time I passed it, I was intrigued by the marketing and just the brand in general. I have this app called Claim. And basically it gives you the chance to try certain local restaurants and get some cash back. So when I saw this on there, I clicked it immediately. It gave me an excuse to try this place! I went in and ordered in person. The inside is clean and fresh feeling. It's like a much better Subway. I got the Firebird but subbed the pastrami turkey for chicken. It took a while to make, even though I was the only one in there. But at least I know it was fresh. I got the sandwich and I ate it at home, and I have to say it was very delicious. It's a good size and had a lot of meat and flavor. My only issue is how expensive they are. The sandwich was really good, but not worth $15. I'm really glad I got cash back for this one. Unbelievable incompetence. I asked for cheese on each side of the bread instead of both on one side and they called me said they didn't understand, did I want cheese on one side?meanwhile that's exact opposite that I said. I explained again cheese on each side. they said they aren't allowed to do that... I said that's crazy. Just open the bread and put cheese on each side instead of both on one..: a guy had to call a MANAGER to talk to me about the cheese placement. He said they were confused... what is there to be confused about, tried to go back and forth with me and argue they can't place the cheese like that... Absolutely diabolical. Finally they said they understood and would do that. Guess what? Opened my sandwich and all the cheese on one side. I had my first visit today at Ghost and I have to say, it was the best sandwich I have had in many years. I was a die hard Jersey Mikes customer but no longer. Ghost just took over as my number sandwich place to go to. Jersey Mikes dropped to number two. I ordered the Uncle Nikki sandwich which was fantastic. It has great flavor and big enough to fill you up. The service was great and the staff were all very friendly. It's a must place to go to when you want an excellent sandwich. I've been excited to try Ghost Sando Shop since I was a big fan of their pizza shops (which have now all closed down in favor of their sandwich venture, sadly. Why not do both???). I got a large (which is the smallest option) Uncle Nikki. The sandwich sizes go up in height, not length, so getting an XL or XXL means 1.5 or 2 times the sandwich fixings. All the employees were friendly and my sandwich was ready in just a couple minutes, despite the very busy sandwich preppers! Everything was fresh and tasty from the meats to the veggies and the bread. Personally, the bread was too sweet for me, and I don't think I've ever really met a bread I didn't like. It might be better suited for a honey ham or maybe turkey sandwich than an Italian one, but I don't fault Ghost for that. That's just my personal preference. If you don't mind bread on the sweeter side, definitely give it a try! read more

Love coming here. Every sandwich I've had is good and the service is great. The Firebird is one of my favorites.

One of my go to lunch spots in the area. Probably the best sandwich place though! I work in Burbank and usually come during peak lunch hour. Service is always quick though and I've never had to wait too long. The only down side is that there is limited street parking, you'll have to get lucky to find a parking spot close by. I've tried a few of their sandwich's like the uncle Nikki, tuna and the melrose. The melrose is my favorite after discovering it, I haven't been wanting to try anything else. The Dutch crunch bread is soo good and I love their slaw that comes with the melrose. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a fast casual spot to dine at ! read more

Spending $20+ on a sandwich and get this kind of customer service is crazyyy. I tried to order online through Yelp for the Melrose location, but it rerouted me to their website -- which then automatically placed my order at the Burbank location without me realizing it. When I called to fix it, they told me the sandwich was already made and they couldn't refund it. The manager even admitted that this has happened to many customers before, but they still wouldn't process a refund. I explained that I'm a regular at the Melrose spot and have never had an issue, and asked if they could make an exception this one time. He flat-out said no, but told me that I could come by and pick it up here. I told him that I was on my 30-minute lunch break and wouldn't be able to come in to pick up until after my shift, 3-4 hours later. He said that was fine and "your sandwich will be here when you come in" -- but honestly, leaving a sandwich sitting out for 4 hours sounds like a health code violation to me. Really disappointing experience for a place I used to love. I won't be giving them my business anymore, and I won't recommend them to anyone else -- like I used to. read more

One and done for me. I work in the area, wanted something new to try so I came in here. The workers are incredibly friendly, the place looks amazing, great atmosphere, etc. But, my God... the prices are insane. $16 ($17+ with tax) for their smallest sub is crazy to me. I ordered, I think, the Melrose...? It had ham, turkey, bacon, etc. on it... again, it was a GREAT sub. But, not worth more than $10, I'm sorry. Also, I didn't think it wasn't any better than same chains with cheaper prices, but still great. I usually go to Chipotle for something quick (across the street) and it's less than $10 for a chicken burrito or bowl... but sometimes their lines are nuts so I thought it would be quick and easy to get a sub. Nope. I couldn't believe how long the order took to be made. I thought it would be any other deli where you order, they make it, you pay. Here, you pay... then you sit there and wait as they get to it. But -- there are apparently online orders ahead of you or something. It was close to ten minutes of me waiting. The guy who ordered after me was sitting next to me, he went up and cancelled his order and left. Again, I love the idea of non-chain shop, I really wanted to make this my go-to but I can't. I'm not paying almost $18 a day for lunch for a sandwich. But, it looks like they have a lot of business so that's great and I'm happy for them so why lower your prices -- supply and demand. This could be due to a one off situation, however I was very disappointed in the sandwiches I got. For some context, I did order through Postmates, so my first time experience could be tainted from the delivery time altering the sandwich as a whole. It was a Tuesday at like 6 pm. The sandwiches I got were the melrose and the firebird. To start with the firebird: From the description, I was expecting a lot of flavor, however it was kind of bland. The melrose was much better and I can see why it's the most popular. However, the biggest culprit to why I did not enjoy these sandwiches was because of the bread. I've seen a lot of praise for the Dutch crust so I was super excited to try for the first time, however I think the batch of bread used for my sandwich's were underbaked? At first I thought maybe delivery made the bread this way, however upon closer inspection, I found uncooked dough on certain parts of my sandwich. The bread had a really unfortunate stodgy texture and unpleasant mouth feel. Maybe I will try again in person, however overall aside from the bread, the overall flavor was alright. read more

There were quite a few places in this location that we wanted to try but let me tell you I'm so glad we came here. First off the parking situation is difficult, either you have to get really lucky or park down the block and it's about $6 (but this doesn't affect the review) The staff are very friendly, helpful and informative when it comes to helping you choose which sando to get. We went with the Pastrami Mami with slaw and boy let me tell you what a great choice. The meat was stacked (we got the xl), the ingredients were fresh, the bread is delightful and just overall it was such a tasty sandwich. The place is nice and clean and they have an outside seating area as well. If you're in the mood for a sandwich I'd definitely try this place out. Can't wait to try the other sandwiches. read more

First time trying these sandwiches and I'm so sorry to say but we did NOT like these sandwiches, especially at these prices. We got the Melrose and the Nikki and the bread tasted so stale. It was thick and hard and NOT GOOD. We ordered online and picked it up and ate it immediately. I saw the hype around these sandwiches and I do not understand it. For both me and hubby, we have had far better sandwiches. I've had sandwiches everywhere and these make it to the bottom of the list for me. Maybe it was a bad day, and stale bread is not a common occurrence, and we got unlucky? The fillings were okay, but if the bread fails, then what's the point of the sandwich? So very disappointed .
